Abstract

MOL is an organic fertilizer made from fermented natural materials that contain carbohydrates and many macro and micro nutrients. This type of fertilizer also contains microorganisms that its contribute towards role as biofertilizer. One potential organic material for MOL that is easily available is bamboo shoots. Bamboo shoots contain important nutrients which can improve plant growth and development. The purpose of this study was to determine what bacteria are contained in bamboo shoot MOL and to determine its effect on growth in pakcoy plants (Brassica rapa L). This research is an experimental study using RAL (Complete Randomized Design), including: isolation and characterization of bamboo shoot MOL, application of MOL to pakcoy plants (Brassica rapa L) containing bacterial isolates from bamboo shoot MOL. The observed parameters include plant height, root length, number of leaves and wet weight of pakcoy plants followed by statistical analysis using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and characterization results on isolates obtained based on Bergey's Manual of Determinative Bacteriology. From the research results obtained that the prediction of the genus of bacteria contained in bamboo shoots is Lactobacillus, Streptococcus Sp, Saccharococcus, Veillonella sp, Azotobacter, and Rhizobacter which play a role in accelerating decomposition so as to produce the best quality fertilizer and MOL contained in bamboo shoots has a significant effect on the growth of pakcoy (Brassica rapa L). The best result for MOL bamboo shoots that are good for pakcoy plant growth is obtained at a concentration of 150ml / L so that MOL bamboo shoots have the potential for pakcoy plant growth.

Abstract

Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi sangat dipengaruhi oleh berkembangnya ilmu bioteknologi. Bioteknologi mempunyai peran di semua bidang kehidupan dan dikaitkan dengan aspek “life skills”. Namun, hal ini tidak diikuti dengan pemahaman masyarakat maupun siswa sekolah mengenai bioteknologi. Mitra kegiatan pengabdian yaitu SD Negeri Ledoknongko, Bangunkerto, Turi, Sleman, DI Yogyakarta. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu memberikan pendampingan pembelajaran bioteknologi bagi SD Negeri Ledoknongko. Rencana kegiatan pengabdian dimulai dari perizinan, konsolidasi, persiapan, dan pelaksanaan. Selama pelaksanaan, mitra pengabdian sangat antusias mengikuti seluruh rangkaian kegiatan. Pada pengabdian ini disampaikan pelatihan pengenalan sel tumbuhan dan edukasi bahaya pencemaran lingkungan. Setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini, peserta menjadi lebih sadar untuk menjaga lingkungan dengan tidak membuang sampah atau limbah sembarangan. Hal ini dikarenakan lingkungan merupakan tempat hidup berbagai makhluk hidup, baik makroorganisme maupun mikroorganisme. Kata kunci : Pembelajaran, Bioteknologi, Ledoknongko

Abstract

Salak (Salacca zalacca) is a fruit that is widely developed in Sleman, Yogyakarta Special Region, and as an icon of the Ledoknongko Tourism Village. The Covid-19 pandemic has reduced the number of tourists visiting the Ledoknongko Tourism Village. Covid-19 is very influential on residents' income and, of course, the use of salak fruit. One alternative to using salak fruit is to process it into natural yeast made from salak fruit (Salak Yeast Water). Natural yeast or wild yeast is the yeast that is usually always present in some foods, such as fruits, vegetables, and cereals. Furthermore, the yeast can be used for making bread. The training was conducted for a group of women from the Ledoknongko Tourism Village, which included a pre-test, giving materials, the practice of making salak yeast and fried bread, and a post-test. The pre-test and post-test results showed the participant's understanding of salak yeast; in the pre-test, the correct answers were 30%, and in the post-test, 93%. In addition, according to a survey conducted, particpants have a high desire to continue to train skills and develop products from salak yeast water so that salak yeast water has the potential to continue to be developed and commercialized in Ledokonongko Tourism Village

Abstract

Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) sebagai salah satu penggerak terwujudnya Program Desa Mandiri Pangan (Demapan). Salah satu kegiatan yang mendukung terbentuknya Demapan ini yaitu dengan mendayagunakan dan mengoptimalkan sumber daya lokal melalui Budidaya Ikan Dalam Ember (Budikdamber). Kegiatan edukasi lingkungan ini dilaksanakan pada mitra, yaitu KWT Pesona Alam Sejahtera (PAS). Pendekatan melalui program Budikdamber diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat khususnya ibu-ibu rumah tangga yang tidak bekerja (Kelompok Wanita Tani) tentang cara budidaya ikan lele sekaligus kangkung yang efektif dan efisien dalam wadah ember. Melalui program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, KWT-PAS dapat menjadi cikal bakal kemandirian pangan di mulai dalam lingkungan rumah tangga. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu memberikan edukasi kepada anggota KWT PAS; pemberian alat dan bahan untuk kegiatan budidaya termasuk bibit lele, benih kangkung dan pelet ikan; pendampingan mulai dari proses pembuatan instalasi Budikdamber, penyemaian benih, pemeliharaan ikan lele dan kangkung; pemantauan secara berkala terhadap proses budidaya. Berdasarkan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian, anggota KWT PAS berperan aktif dalam kegiatan budidaya, rata-rata umur panen lele sekitar 2,5-3 bulan pemeliharaan sampai bulan ke-5. Selanjutnya kangkung sudah mulai dapat dipanen pada umur tanam 2-3 minggu hingga bulan ke-5 proses pemeliharaan. Rata-rata kangkung yang diperoleh saat panen sebanyak 1 ikat untuk setiap instalasi Budikdamber.

Abstract

Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) is a horticultural commodity with good commercial value. Lettuce production is insufficient for consumer needs because of the excessive use of inorganic fertilizers, which reduce soil fertility. This research aims to decide rhizobacteria in the rhizosphere of sugarcane roots and their influence on increasing the growth of lettuce plants. The methods used are observational methods for taking composite soil samples. Macroscopic observations of bacterial colonies include the shape, elevation, edges, and color of the colonies produced. Through gram staining and physiological tests, including catalase, motility, carbohydrate fermentation, and indole tests, performed microscopic character observations. Field tests as PGPR were carried out on lettuce plants with treatment P0, P1, P2 and P3. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, wet weight, dry weight, and root length. Based on the results of the research, the PGPR of sugarcane roots has rhizobacteria such as Corynebacterium sp, Terrabacter, Saccharococcus, Aeromicrobium, Paracoccus, Ancylobacter, Planococcus, and Azotobacter. PGPR affects the growth of lettuce plants, especially on plant height, number of leaves, and root length. Treatment P3 (PGPR 7.5 ml/L) and treatment P1 (2.5 ml/L) obtained the best concentrations, yielding optimal results on all test parameters. Treatments P0 and P2 did not have a significant effect on the growth of lettuce plants.

Abstract

Liquid soap is an important component in maintaining skin cleanliness. Good liquid soap is soap that contains natural antioxidants because it can protect the body from free radicals and prevent cell damage and is also antibacterial because it can prevent and kill pathogens. One source of easily available phytochemical compounds with antioxidant and antibacterial activity is banana leaves (Musa sp.). The aim of this research was to formulate physically and chemically stable banana leaf extract liquid soap and test the antibacterial effectiveness of banana leaf extract liquid soap with formulations of 0%, 1%, 3%, 5% and 7% against the growth of Escherichia coli. This research was carried out using Completely Randomized Design which included making extracts, phytochemical screening tests, organoleptic tests, hedonic tests, pH tests, homogeneity tests, foam stability tests, and antibacterial tests on Escherichia coli using the diffusion method (paper disc). Then statistical analysis of variance (ANOVA) was carried out to determine the differences in the five formulas. Integrating banana leaf phytochemical compounds into soap formulas produces products that are antioxidant and antibacterial. The best formula is at an extract concentration of 7% because it provides optimal antibacterial test results and meets SNI standards for foam stability.

Abstract

Buah Salak Pondoh merupakan salah satu buah yang memiliki kandungan karbohidrat yang cukup tinggi. Tingginya kandungan karbohidrat dan gula membuatnya dapat dijadikan sumber ragi alami yang dibuat dalam bentuk salak yeast water dan dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pengembang roti. Dalam salak yeast water didapat isolat yeast salah satunya yaitu Hanseniaspora opuntiae. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisa sekuens genom dari Hanseniaspora opuntiae menggunakan antiSMASH agar diketahui potensi senyawa metabolit. Metode yang digunakan yaitu menyiapkan sekuens isolat yang didapat dari NCBI kemudian dilakukan analisis menggunakan antiSMASH. Dari hasil analisis didapati pada Hanseniaspora opuntiae terdapat lima metabolit dari keseluruhan genom yaitu terpen, prekursor terpen (terpene – precursore), lysin, asam lemak (fatty acid), dan sakarida (saccharide). Metabolit – metabolit tersebut diketahui sebagai penunjang kehidupan sel dan dapat memberikan dampak baik pada kualitas roti.

Abstract

Pasar modal syariah merupakan bagian integral dari sistem keuangan Islam yang bertujuan menyediakan alternatif investasi yang sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip syariah, seperti keadilan, transparansi, dan tanggung jawab sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konsep dasar, landasan hukum, serta strategi penguatan dan arah pengembangan pasar modal syariah di Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif berbasis studi literatur, penelitian ini mengandalkan sumber primer berupa Al-Qur’an, Hadis, fatwa DSN-MUI, serta regulasi dari OJK dan BEI. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun pasar modal syariah telah berkembang secara signifikan melalui berbagai instrumen seperti saham syariah, sukuk, dan reksa dana syariah, penguatan hukum masih menjadi tantangan utama. Ketiadaan undang-undang khusus dan rendahnya literasi masyarakat menjadi hambatan struktural yang perlu segera diatasi. Strategi penguatan diarahkan pada penyusunan legislasi khusus, peningkatan literasi publik, inovasi produk syariah, serta sinergi kelembagaan antar pemangku kepentingan. Pasar modal syariah tidak hanya memiliki peran ekonomi, tetapi juga nilai spiritual dan sosial sebagai instrumen pemberdayaan umat. Oleh karena itu, penguatan pasar modal syariah menjadi langkah strategis untuk membangun sistem keuangan nasional yang lebih adil, inklusif, dan berkelanjutan sesuai dengan maqashid al-syariah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of religious moderation values through the Festival Anak Islami organized by community service program (KKN) students in Nagori Marihat Bukit. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation and documentation. The findings reveal that the festival not only serves as a competition platform in Islamic-themed activities such as call to prayer (azan), Qur’an memorization (tahfidz), prayer recitation, quiz competitions, and calligraphy, but also functions as a medium for instilling the values of religious moderation from an early age. Tolerance, sportsmanship, solidarity, and respect for local wisdom were clearly reflected in the interactions among the children, the active participation of the community, and the involvement of local leaders. This activity demonstrates that community-based religious education can strengthen social cohesion, foster inclusiveness, and support the four indicators of religious moderation promoted by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Therefore, the Festival Anak Islami can be considered an effective model for community-based religious moderation education in building a harmonious and moderate society.
