Abstract

The strategy for developing Kumbili farming as a Local Food Commodity in Pandeglang Regency consists of internal and external factors. The aim of the research is to analyze the strategy for developing kumbili farming as a local food commodity in Pandeglang district. The type of research is a survey, the respondents of the research are 30 kumbili farmers, the data analysis used is SWOT analysis. The IFE matrix shows that the biggest strength is the relatively high price compared to other commodities, each score is 0.67 with a weight of 0.17 rating 4. Internal factors of weakness are the lack of application of technology and business management and the absence of diversification of processed food products, each score is 0 .67 and a weight of 0.17 a rating of 4. The EFE matrix shows the highest opportunity is increased market demand with a weight of 0.25 rating 4, a score of 1.00, the biggest threat to inconsistent product quality, a weight of 0.25, a rating of 4 and a score of 1.00. The IE matrix shows IFE on the X axis of 3.52 and a total EFE weight score on the Y axis of 3.38, this shows the development of farming in Grow and Build conditions. Based on the SWOT analysis, strategies can be applied: the S-O (Strength-Opportunity) strategy optimizes natural conditions suitable for growing conditions, optimizes support from government agencies, maintains and improves product quality based on farmer experience. The W-O (Weakness-Opportunity) strategy allocates resources to adopt relevant technologies, increase farmer skills and knowledge, establish partnerships, focus on market segmentation including export potential, optimize business scale. The S-T (Strength-Threaths) strategy optimizes the use of supportive natural conditions based on farmer experience, takes advantage of market potential, maintains product quality and is consistent so that it is able to determine prices. The W-T (Weakness-Threaths) strategy simplifies operations, implements management, collaborates on product research and development, improves supply chain management systems, considers appropriate technology to improve product efficiency and consistency, expands market share. The development of kumbili farming provides benefits: increasing income, diversifying farming, opening up opportunities to improve the economy, creating jobs, facilitating the community to achieve food self-sufficiency reducing dependence on imported food and family expenses to buy household food.

Abstract

Food security is the state of having individuals or groups with access to enough food and nutrition. Local food resources play a crucial role in meeting the dietary needs of the community. Abinisa's Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are one of the producers of local food products in the city of Serang. Improving the economic status of SME operators can bolster the food security and nutrition of their households. The objective of this research is to analyze food security based on Food Expenditure Share (FES) and to assess food security and nutrition based on Energy Adequacy Ratio (EAR) and Protein Adequacy Ratio (PAR) among entrepreneurs in Abinisa's SMEs. This study is descriptive in nature, aiming to provide an overview of the conditions in the field. The data used in this research includes both primary and secondary sources. The research results indicate that the majority of households among SME operators fall into the category of being food secure, with an average Food Expenditure Share of less than 60 percent. Additionally, the levels of energy and protein adequacy in the households of entrepreneurs in Abinisa's SMEs average above 80 percent. Keywordsi: food Security; SME; local food products

Abstract

Marine and fishery development is closely related to coastal development since the majority of the development actors in the fishery and marine sectors are coastal communities. Economic capacity development of an area is an attempt to realize sustainable coastal development. This study aims to elaborate to what extend the community economic capacity development and how the development policies of the government are in supporting the community economic capacity development. The study uses qualitative and quantitative methods (a mixed method). The qualitative method employs data collection techniques in the form of observations, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussion (FGD). The quantitative method applies data collection techniques of structured interviews and a survey technique. Supported by local development policies that have been formulated in the mid-term and long-term development plans, the community-based economic capacity development in the coastal areas of Serang City aims at improving the economic prosperity of the coastal community as well as improving coastal area management. At large, the economic capacity development consists of (1) improvement of human resource capacity, (2) enhancement of economic competitiveness and (3) improvement of economic facilities/infrastructures as the support. The conomic capacity improvement involves full participation of communities and stakeholders who mutually interact, collaborate, and cooperate to enhance each capacity and together they encourage coastal economic improvement.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pengembangan urban farming melalui usahatani hidroponik berbasis kemandirian ekonomi lokal, dengan fokus pada Riyan Farm di Kota Serang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan analisis SWOT. Hasil analisis SWOT menunjukkan bahwa Riyan Farm memiliki kekuatan dalam lokasi usaha yang strategis, orientasi profit berbasis kemandirian ekonomi lokal, inovasi, dan teknologi dalam pengembangan hidroponik. Namun, Riyan Farm juga dihadapkan pada beberapa kelemahan, seperti biaya produksi awal yang tinggi dan fluktuasi harga bahan baku, serta ancaman dari persaingan produk sejenis dan risiko kerusakan produk.Berdasarkan hasil analisis, strategi yang dianjurkan untuk Riyan Farm adalah memanfaatkan kekuatan internal untuk memaksimalkan peluang eksternal, seperti memanfaatkan lokasi strategis dan meningkatkan kualitas produk untuk tetap bersaing di pasar. Selain itu, Riyan Farm perlu mengatasi kendala biaya produksi awal dan akses modal terbatas dengan mencari sumber pendanaan alternatif dan manajemen yang efektif terhadap fluktuasi harga bahan baku. Pengurangan risiko kerusakan produk dan peningkatan strategi pemasaran juga menjadi kunci untuk menghadapi persaingan produk sejenis.Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam pemahaman strategi pengembangan urban farming melalui usahatani hidroponik berbasis kemandirian ekonomi lokal, serta memberikan rekomendasi bagi pelaku usaha dalam menghadapi tantangan dan memanfaatkan peluang yang ada.Kata kunci: Pengembangan Usahatani,  Urban Farming, Hidroponik, SWOT, Kemandirian Ekonomi

Abstract

This research aimed to analyse the agribusiness system and local wisdom in the fulfilment of food, and the mechanism for meeting the food needs of fishermen households in Lontar Village, Tirtayasa District, Serang Regency. Direct interviews were conducted with fishermen living in the coastal area of Lontar Village who are members of the Joint Business Group using a list of questions. The data was analysed using the Food Coping Strategy Index to study the mechanism of fishermen's households for meeting their food needs to increase food security. The research results showed that fishermen's households in Lontar Village rely on coastal agriculture and fisheries business diversification as the main strategy for filling food needs. Based on the Food Coping Strategy analysis, fishermen's households implemented mechanisms to face the crisis with defensive behavior to meet food needs from Level I to Level III. This defensive behavior is dominated by efforts in Phase I, such as looking for a side job (61.11%), gardening (33.33%), raising goats (44.44%), reducing the type of food consumed (66.67%), and reducing meal frequency by 50% of households. On the other hand, the behavior of often using their savings to buy food dominated level II by 16.65%, borrowing money from close relatives by 55.56% and buying food needs by paying later as much as 22.22% of households. Stage III was carried out with migration to cities and abroad by 66.67% of households.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berfokus pada pemberdayaan wirausaha mikro di Desa Kertarahayu, Kecamatan Banjarsari, Kabupaten Lebak, melalui inovasi produksi Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) dan pendampingan legalitas usaha. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi masyarakat adalah terbatasnya pengetahuan mengenai teknik pengolahan VCO serta rendahnya pemahaman tentang legalitas usaha, khususnya Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB) dan sertifikasi halal. Kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang menekankan partisipasi aktif masyarakat pada setiap tahap kegiatan, serta dipadukan dengan prinsip Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) yang memanfaatkan potensi lokal berupa komoditas kelapa sebagai aset utama. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas peserta (52%) sangat membutuhkan pendampingan legalitas usaha, sementara 15% membutuhkan pendampingan namun terkendala sarana dan waktu. Selain itu, 29% peserta menekankan pentingnya pelatihan teknis pengolahan VCO, dan 4% lainnya menyatakan kebutuhan tersebut namun terbatas oleh ketersediaan alat dan bahan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa program pemberdayaan UMKM kelapa perlu difokuskan tidak hanya pada peningkatan keterampilan produksi, tetapi juga pendampingan legalitas usaha, sehingga pelaku usaha dapat berkembang menjadi lebih profesional, berdaya saing, dan memiliki akses pasar yang lebih luas.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM) memberikan kontribusi untuk meningkatkan pendapatan daerah namun permasalahan yang banyak dijumpai adalah pengurusan Nomor Identitas Berusaha (NIB). Desa Cijaku, Kabupaten Lebak selaku mitra yaitu usaha emping melinjo Mak Edol juga memiliki permasalahan terkait legalitas usaha. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut Tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa membantu memberikan solusi agar pelaku usaha untuk mendapatkan izin usaha dan izin komersial atau operasional. Tujuan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan pemaham mitra terkait legalitas usaha dan memberikan pendampingan dalam pembuatan Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB) melalui sistem online Single Submission dan Sertifikasi Halal melalui sistem SiHalal. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan substansi Iptek. Berdasarkan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat yang telah dilakukan bahwa usaha emping melinjo Mak Edol telah berhasil memperoleh Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB) dan sertifikat halal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi keberhasilan relatif rantai pasok agroindustri ubi kayu di Maluku Tenggara sebagai dukungan adopsi ubi kayu sebagai makanan pokok. Fokus utama penelitian mencakup ketersediaan pasokan ubi kayu, peran teknologi dalam meningkatkan efisiensi rantai pasok, dan daya saing rantai pasok ubi kayu di wilayah tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, memungkinkan investigasi mendalam terhadap rantai pasok agroindustri ubi kayu di Maluku Tenggara. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi literatur yang mendalam. Hasil penelitian diharapkan memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang keberhasilan relatif rantai pasok agroindustri ubi kayu, peran teknologi dalam meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, dan daya saing rantai pasok. Informasi ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar untuk pengembangan strategi yang lebih efektif dalam mendukung agroindustri ubi kayu di wilayah tersebut, sekaligus mengatasi berbagai tantangan yang mungkin muncul dalam perubahan pasar dan lingkungan. Keseluruhan, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pemahaman dan pengembangan agroindustri ubi kayu sebagai faktor utama dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi pedesaan dan ketahanan pangan di Maluku Tenggara.
