Abstract

Uric acid is the end result of metabolism of purines in the form of nucleoproteins,which is one component of nucleic acid found in the nucleus of body cells.Celery boiled water that contains apiin and apigenin is believed to reduce levels of uric acid naturally without causing side effects. This study aims to examine the effect of celery stew water on decreasing uric acid levels in the elderly. Research in Ngegong chilhood Madiun City conducted on 07-13 May 2021. The study used pre-experiment with One Group Pretest Posttest design. The sampling technique with simple random sampling technique. Total sample 66 elderly. Respondents were checked for uric acid levels before and after therapy. Before the celery boiled water therapy was carried out, the average uric acid level of the respondent was 7.9 mg / dl, after being given therapy the celery stew water on average the respondents' uric acid level was 5.9 mg / dl. Statistical analysis using Paired T-Test. The result of Paired T-test on 66 elderly got decrease of uric acid level with p-value 0,000 (p <0,05). This shows that there is an effect of celery stew water on decreasing uric acid levels in the elderly. Based on the results of research, there is the effect of celery boiling water to decrease uric acid levels in the elderly. Provision of these therapies can be used to decrease uric acid levels in the elderly by done regularly with 200 cc every morning.

Abstract

The use of gadgets in children requires important attention for all parents because it influences the disruption of children's social interaction patterns, gadgets become a strong thing in children's memories. They use gadgets to watch YouTube, games, TikTok, listen to children's songs, cartoons, etc. When using gadgets, children tend to be engrossed in themselves, ignoring their surroundings, which has an impact at school, children prefer to play alone, when they try to call or talk to them, these children tend to remain silent, don't answer, don't look at the person they are talking to, children tend to be shy. , not confident. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between gadget use and social interaction in children aged 3-5 years. The research design that will be used to identify the relationship between gadget use and children's social interactions is an observational analytical design using a cross-sectional approach. The independent variable or what is called independent from this research is the use of gadgets in PAUD age children, while the dependent variable or what is usually called dependent from this research is the social interaction of children aged (3-5 years). The sample for this research is: In this study, the sample used was as many as respondents from all children aged (3-5 years) in PAUD Kuwiran Village, Kare District, Madiun Regency, totaling 42 children/students. The sampling technique in this study used the Simple Random Sampling research technique. The research instrument used is a closed questionnaire which will be given to the respondent's parents. The use of gadgets among children aged (3-5 years) is high for 26 children (68.4%). Social Interaction in Children Aged (3-5 Years) is moderate for 25 children (65.8%). There is a significant relationship of -0.362 which is categorized as sufficient (0.26-0.599) between the use of gadgets and the social interaction of children aged (3-5 years) in PAUD. Providing positive guidance and direction regarding the use of gadgets so that children's interactions with the surrounding environment are not disturbed, children can build social interaction relationships.

Abstract

Di era digital ini anak anak tidak luput dari gadget. Meskipun gadget memiliki dampak positif dan negatif, namun paparan awal terhadap gadget tumbuh sebagai kecanduan pada anak-anak di usia yang sangat muda dan dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan mental, fisik, kognitif, dan psikologi anak. Hal ini bisa mempengaruhi kualitas hidup yang mengacu pada penilaian subjektif terhadap kesehatan mental dan fisik seseorang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan durasi penggunaan gadget terhadap kualitas hidup anak usia sekolah di SD Negeri Patihan Kota Madiun. Penelitian ini menggunakan analitik cross sectional. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 78 siswa-siswi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dan jumlah sampel adalah 66 siswa-siswi. Uji statistik menggunakan uji Chi-Square dengan α=0.05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar kualitas hidup anak baik sebanyak 41 anak (62,1%) dan durasi penggunaan gadget kurang sebanyak 34 anak (51,5%). Uji statistik didapatkan nilai p = 0,056 artinya tidak ada hubungan antara durasi penggunaan gadget terhadap kualitas hidup anak usia sekolah kelas 4-5 di SD Negeri Patihan Kota Madiun. Sebagian besar anak memiliki kualitas hidup yang baik yang dikarenakan kualitas hidup pada anak tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan gadget, namun dapat dipengaruhi oleh banyak hal seperti lingkungan, keluarga, ekonomi atau yang lainnya. Maka diharapkan kualitas hidup anak tetap dijaga agar tidak berubah menjadi kualitas hidup yang buruk atau beresiko.

Abstract

Benson Relaxation Technique on improving cognitive function in elderly with Hypertension. Using a Quasi-Experimental design with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design approach. The research sample of 10 elderly with Hypertension who showed indications of mild cognitive impairment, was taken through a Purposive Sampling technique. The Benson Relaxation Technique intervention was given 3 times a week for 2 consecutive weeks (a total of 6 sessions), with a duration of 15-20 minutes per session. Cognitive function was measured using the Mini-Mental State Examination instrument. Analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The Pretest results showed all respondents were in the Mild Cognitive Impairment category. After the intervention, there was a significant increase in cognitive function: 40% of respondents experienced an increase in status to the Normal category while the other 60% remained in the Mild Cognitive Impairment category. The bivariate test Mann-Whitney U test showed a significance value of p = 0.001 (<0.05). These results prove a significant difference between cognitive scores after the Benson Relaxation intervention. Research results show that the Benson Relaxation Technique effectively improves cognitive function. Benson Relaxation activates the parasympathetic nervous system, improving memory and attention in elderly people with hypertension.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan sebagai upaya pemberdayaan untuk usaha budidaya ikan lele supaya keluarga mampu menambah sumber pangan dan pendapatan bagi keluarganya. Pengelolaan pekarangan sering juga disebut sebagai lumbung hidup, warung hidup atau apotik hidup (Van den Ban dan Hawkins, 1999). Pengelolaan pekarangan ini dapat dilakukan oleh keluarga sehingga mudah untuk pemeliharaan dan hasilnya bisa dinikmati oleh keluarga. Laporan The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World terbaru yang dirilis Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Indonesia sendiri tercatat sebagai negara dengan jumlah penduduk kurang gizi tertinggi di kawasan Asia Tenggara. Estimasi rata-rata jumlah penduduk kurang gizi di Asia Tenggara periode 2019-2021 menurut FAO Indonesia: 17,7 juta orang. pandemi Covid-19 dan ketahanan pangan akan membaik, nyatanya kelaparan global terus meningkat sampai 2021. Masalah ini menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan negara-negara tidak lagi berkontribusi dalam mengurangi kelaparan, kerawanan pangan, dan malnutrisi," lanjutnya. Upaya pemerintah negara memperbaiki kebijakan dalam sektor pertanian, supaya bahan pangan sehat bisa dijangkau oleh kelompok berpendapatan rendah. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan keluarga dalam pencegahan kurang gizi serta upaya dalam pencegahan stunting. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pemberdayaan keluarga adalah penyuluhan dan dilanjutkan dengan diskusi, serta pemberian bibit lele menggunakan ember. sasaran yang cukup strategis dalam kegiatan ini adalah 30 keluarga. Evaluasi yang dilakukan untuk menilai keberhasilan kegiatan ini terdiri dari evaluasi awal, evaluasi proses dan evaluasi akhir. Selain kegiatan demonstrasi keterampilan pemanfaatan pekarangan, dilakukan juga penyerahan bibit lele yang pada warga. Hasil kegiatan mendapatkan adanya partisipasi masyarakat dalam mengoptimalkan pekarangan rumah untuk sumber pangan. Kegiatan ini efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan tentang pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan rumah meningkatkan gizi keluarga dan terjadinya stunting.
