Abstract

Abstract - This research aimed to study the effect of storage temperatures and durations on the physico-chemical characteristics of chilli (Capsicum annuum) puree.The storage was done by using laminated aluminium foil at the storage temperature 5, 28 and 45oC for 10 weeks of storage. The characteristics observed during storage were pH, water activity and Capsaicinoid content of chilli puree. Based on the results, it can be concluded that different storage temperatures gave significant effect on water activity and Capsaicinoid content of chilli puree, storage duration gave significant effect on pH, water activity and Capsaicinoid content of chilli puree. The combination of storage temperatures and durations gave significant effect on the pH and water activity but not on the Capsaicinoid content of chilli puree. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan  tiga varians multimedia untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis calon guru biologi pada konsep embriologi manusia. Multimedia yang digunakan adalah varian-1 yang terdiri dari unsur animasi dan narasi, varian-2 terdiri dari unsur animasi, narasi, dan musik, serta varian-3 terdiri dari unsur animasi, narasi, musik, dan teks. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di FKIP program studi pendidikan biologi semester IV pada tahun ajaran 2009/2010. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Weak Experimental The Static Group comparison Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel penelitian diambil sebanyak tiga kelas merupakan seluruh populasi yang terdiri dari tiga kelas paralel. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes awal dan tes akhir pada keterampilan berpikir kritis dan  angket siswa dan wawancara guru terhadap tiga varian multimedia yang digunakan. Data dianalisis dengan uji beda rerata one-way anova. Rerata N-Gain pada kelas multimedia varian-1, varian-2,  dan varian-3 adalah 0,35, 0,51 dan 0,41. Guru dan siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap pembelajaran dengan menggunakan multimedia. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa ketiga varian multimedia berbeda secara signifikan  dalam  dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis calon guru biologi. Multimedia varian-2 secara signifikan lebih efektif dibandingkan varian-1 dan varian-3.   Kata kunci:  Berpikir kritis, Pendidikan karakter, Multimedia.

Abstract

Abstract- This study aims to evaluate of plant composition andvegetation structure  inas supporting development strategy ecotourism inSei . Mempura which combines elements of tourism and conservation of nature so that the emphasis on aspects of nature conservation will always be maintained in the absence of concerns about environmental degradation and exploitation . The method used in this study is a survey method of vegetation analysis techniques premises . This research was conducted in Sei . MempuraKab. Siak Sri Indrapura . Data collection was conducted in January 2014 . Based on the results of the analysis of vegetation known that species that dominates the mainstay and economic value and can be highlighted as supporting ecotourism program in the village of SeiMempura is mangosteen ( DR = 9,584 ) and durian ( DR = 8582 ) . The area is famous for its fruit nimanggisnya species that are small and have a very sweet flesh .Spessies durian is also the appeal of  Sei. Mempura to attract tourists locally and nationally on a particular season to visit this village. This sector is a strength yangseyogyanya should continue to be encouraged in this area  Keywords : Plant structure, vegetation analysis , ecotourism
