Abstract

In this modern era, doing business requires a marketing strategy to market a product. One good marketing method is to utilize a customer database. A database is a collection of data or information stored systematically. Meanwhile, the customer database is data that contains customer personal information, such as name, email, telephone number, age, gender, product search history, transaction history and other demographic and psychographic data. This database can be used to build and maintain a business, as well as establishing good relationships with customers. As Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), the hope is that they can keep up with developments by becoming familiar with data. When you are data literate, it will make it easier for MSMEs to develop their business in this digital era. The customer database will help MSMEs reach more consumers. Utilizing data coupled with knowledge in processing customer databases is one of the keys to successfully managing a business. As an MSME actor, you must also be able to use data optimally. The Sanan tempeh chips center, as one of the areas in Malang City, is the center of a home industry that produces tempeh chips that are still surviving in this global era. The aim of this research is to help MSMEs to manage customer databases, business actors know and of course create the best business strategies

Abstract

Artikel ini mendeskripsikan penggunaan digital photograph dalam pengajaran Bahasa Indonesia tingkat menengah di Polandia. Dengan menggunakan foto digital yang memediasi antar budaya (diadopsi dari Kusumaningputri dan Widodo) kegiatan ini meliputi fase (1) mengumpulkan digital yang sarat budaya foto, (2) mengamati foto yang dipilih, (3) mendeskripsikan teks visual ini, (4) membandingkan dan membandingkan teks fotografi, dan (5) mengevaluasi informasi / data yang berkaitan dengan foto-foto yang dipilih yang menggambarkan realitas sosiokultural. kegiatan ini membutuhkan persiapan yang cukup matang dan serius bagi pemelajar bahasa, khususnya untuk mengumpulkan informasi, mencari gambar (memilih dan memilah gambar yang sesuai dengan topik), kemudian menginterpretasi gambar dan menceritakannya di kelas. Melalui fase yang panjang ini mahasiswa membutuhkan alokasi waktu yang cukup banyak yang harus mereka investasikan dalam proses pembelajaran. Persepsi mahasiswa menggambarkan refleksi positif terhadap penggunaan foto digital untuk pembelajaran BIPA. Pemelajar Bahasa Indonesia memiliki motivasi yang tinggi dalam belajar dikarenakan melampaui fase pembelajaran mandiri dan aktif pada saat mereka di kelas. Hal ini mendukung perkembangan bahasa mereka secara terarah dan baik.

Abstract

Making the best use of technology has now become a challenge for language teachers. Most language teachers know how difficult it is to get students to use language in class, even more so in a meaningful way, especially at the oral level. Using online chatting can provide learners with opportunities for language interaction since it is within the context that negotiation of meaning and interlanguage development are most likely to occur. Second language acquisition research indicates that negotiation promotes interlanguage development and that learners are most likely to negotiate if opportunities for language interaction are provided. When used strategically with careful planning and focused discussions, chat can be a powerful learning tool which can engage the students with meaningful learning process. Through one-on-one conversations with the instructor, small group work, pairs, individual study of transcripts, and interviews, chat can accommodate difference learning styles. It can be a valuable option to language class, facilitating learning and enhancing communications. Thus, it is essential that language courses use online chat which can bring students to extend the learning process well beyond the traditional classroom approach, since it leads to effective communication tool that fosters a fascinating, authentic and enriching learning experience. The paper is elaborating how to set up online chatting activities in the learning of English as a foreign language. It also describes the strengths of this approach from a pedagogical point of view.

Abstract

Ditengah menggeliatnya industri film di Indonesia, kebutuhan akan subtitling tak bisa dihindari. Subtitling, atau terjemahan film, berfungsi membantu penikmat film dalam memahami cerita. Makalah ini mengupas uniknya penerjemahan film dan mengevaluasi ketepatan penerjemahan dalam film “Sex and the City”, suatu serial drama komedi TV HBO yang terkenal. Pendekatan pragmatik dilakukan dalam mengevaluasi ketepatan terjemahannya dan dibuktikan bahwa kualitasnya baik. Meskipun demikian, beberapa ungkapan yang syarat dengan muatan budaya seperti ungkapan humor dan vulgar hendaklah menjadi perhatian seorang subtitler untuk memelihara aspek pragmatiknya disamping mereka juga harus mempertimbangkan ruang dan waktu (segi tampilan) dalam subtitling.

Abstract

This community service program aims to provide assistance to members of the Dasa Wisma group in Duwet Village, Tumpang District, Malang Regency. The many local beverage products produced by residents of this village face challenges in production capacity and packaging quality. The manual packaging process still in use often results in untidy packaging, low durability, and less appealing product appearance. This situation not only hinders broader product marketing but also reduces competitiveness in the market. To address these issues, the procurement of cup and packaging sealing machines is an effective solution. These machines can speed up the packaging process while improving the quality and appeal of local products. This community service activity involves the procurement of cup and packaging sealing machines and guidance on their use for producers in Duwet Village, Tumpang District, Malang Regency. The provision of these tools can offer significant benefits, such as increasing packaging efficiency; ensuring tidier, stronger, and more visually appealing packaging; supporting product protection during distribution; enhancing product competitiveness in wider markets; and ensuring consistent packaging quality on an ongoing basis. With this solution, residents of Duwet Village can be more competitive while also boosting the economic growth of the local community.

Abstract

This thesis examines the persuasive language techniques used in Instagram advertisements by two leather shoe brands, TXTURE and Dr. Martens, from 2021 to 2023, highlighting how social media has transformed brand communication strategies. Using qualitative content analysis and a survey to assess audience perceptions, the study identifies a range of persuasive appeals—emotional, logical, and social—used in varying styles and frequencies by both brands. TXTURE primarily relies on suggestion (39.28%) and rationalization (33.14%), while Dr. Martens employs a broader array of techniques, with suggestion (51.31%) being most dominant, followed by displacement, identification, and conformity. The findings offer valuable insights into digital marketing strategies, particularly the use of persuasive language to boost audience engagement on social media platforms.
