Abstract

This paper wants to provide a mapping of the urgency of peer counseling services in the Islamic boarding school environment. Using qualitative research methods with a meta-analysis approach to analyze the content of previous studies. The results of this study are Showing a mapping of the importance of implementing peer counseling or peer counseling in terms of the point of view of students, pesantren managers, and kiai who are elements of pesantren. This argument is built by seeing that pesantren are one of the institutions that still need to be optimized for the application of counseling services. Seeing the complexity of existing problems, especially those experienced by students.

Abstract

This article examines the existence of a tradition and the content of the values of the Islamic scriptures (Al-Qur’an and Hadith) inherent and practiced in the Gugur Gunung tradition carried out by the community in Gunungpring Village, Magelang. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed qualitatively through Karl Mannheim’s sociological perspective of knowledge into three meanings: objective, expressive, and documentary. The results of the study are presented as follows. The objective meaning of the Gugur Gunung tradition is a tradition that has existed for a long time and is still being maintained today in various conditions. While expressive meaning can be captured two inherent meanings, namely the meaning of life in the later days and the meaning of the inheritance of past lives from ulama. The documentary meaning of this tradition is to foster harmonization (gotong royong, tolerance, please help) and as a medium of spirituality education for the community in maintaining a tradition. Through reading the Sociology of Knowledge using the three meanings above, it can be understood that the existence of a tradition that can survive in society will always continue to be preserved if two aspects are built that are bound together. First, internally there is a spiritual belief in  the values of the past and life in the later days. Secondly, externally, it deals with the order of socio-religious harmonization in society. The various values inherent in this tradition are in line with the teachings of the Islamic scriptures. Thus these values will continue to be produced and practiced in life in society.

Abstract

Social media that is currently still loved by the public is Instagram. Of course, Instagram contains many elements in each post, for example, posts on Instagram regarding religious matters, namely about posting Islamic quotes that contain posts about verses of the Qur'an (qur'anic quotes). One of the accounts that displays content containing various kinds of Islamic quotes, reminders, and Islamic stories is @kulometer_. Uniquely, every video content of these quotes always uses the background or video background of a K-Pop artist named Jaemin, both in the content about ordinary quotes and quotes containing verses of the Qur'an, hadith, and Islamic stories. This research is descriptive research supported by Max Weber's social action theory which is oriented towards the motives and goals of the actors. This research explains the reason why the creator (account owner) uses K-Pop artist; Jaemin in his content. He does this so that K-Popers are interested in seeing what messages are conveyed in it, especially when the content contains religious elements, such as reminder quotes to always remember God. So, the results obtained contain the message that the owner of the @kulometer_ account wants to convey to his followers and to other netizens, such as religious messages where the source is quoted from the Qur'an directly. The content of these contents is a reminder to himself and others to always do good deeds, stay away from bad and bad deeds, not to be too complacent about worldly things, to always love Allah rather than worldly things.

Abstract

Isu kesetaraan gender dan feminisme semakin mendapat perhatian global, masih terdapat kesenjangan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan penerapan nilai-nilai ini di kalangan mahasiswa Indonesia. Banyak mahasiswa yang belum sepenuhnya memahami atau menginternalisasi prinsip-prinsip feminis sosialis, yang meliputi kesetaraan gender, keadilan sosial, dan pemberdayaan perempuan. Pendekatannya melalui kualitatif dengan metode interview research feminist, observasi, dan studi literatur. Buku Sarinah mengandung nilai feminisme sosialis seperti memperjuangkan hak perempuan dalam lingkup keluarga, upah kerja, maupun kesejahteraan sosial. Internalisasi nilai feminis sosialis pada sarinah dilakukan kepada tiga orang dari dua DPK. Melalui wawancara dan observasi, diketahui pada proses transformasi nilai, transaksi nilai, serta trans-internalisasi, tiap individu memiliki faktor dan latar belakang yang beda dalam menginternalisasikan nilai feminisme. Pada konsep perjuangan, mahasiswa GmnI masih terpaku dengan pemikiran Soekarno dan mengenyampingkan fakta bahwa perjuangan Soekarno terhadap hak perempuan sebatas gerakan politisasi, dukungan terhadap gerakan patriarki, memposisikan laki-laki sebagai kepala rumah tangga utama, berpoligami, serta menolak konsep feminisme. Implikasi penelitian ini yaitu memberikan rekomendasi bagi universitas dan lembaga pendidikan untuk mendukung program-program yang mempromosikan kesetaraan gender dan pemberdayaan perempuan, seperti pelatihan kepemimpinan berbasis gender dan penyediaan platform untuk dialog dan advokasi isu-isu feminis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi proses internalisasi tersebut, termasuk dinamika internal organisasi, strategi pendidikan dan pelatihan yang digunakan, serta tantangan dan hambatan yang dihadapi oleh kader dalam mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai feminis sosialis.

Abstract

AbstractWomen are systematically deprived of the opportunity to think about the public sphere and make decisions that actually determine their survival. Even though women have a strategic role in efforts to save the environment. This paper aims to understand the topic of women and the environment by focusing on studies in the Perempuan Peduli Leuser community. Qualitative research was chosen as a research method with primary sources through interviews. The results of the study show that the Perempuan Peduli Leuser community voices environmental issues through writing. Thus, writing is useful as a bridge to promote grassroots women who escape the mainstream media as well as social control. The programs undertaken include building relationships, educating the public, writing and researching, conducting greening, campaigning for a plastic diet, calling for environmental protection, and promoting women who make changes. .Keywords: Women; Environment; Ecofeminism; Perempuan Peduli LeuserAbstrakPerempuan secara sistematis dibuat tidak berpeluang memikirkan wilayah publik dan mengambil keputusan yang sejatinya juga menentukan keberlangsungan hidupnya. Padahal perempuan mempunyai peran strategis dalam upaya penyelamatan lingkungan. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui topik perempuan dan lingkungan dengan memfokuskan studi di komunitas Perempuan Peduli Leuser. Penelitian kualitatif dipilih sebagai metode penelitian dengan sumber primer melalui wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa komunitas Perempuan Peduli Leuser menyuarakan isu lingkungan melalui tulisan. Sehingga, tulisan berguna sebagai jembatan untuk mempromosikan perempuan akar rumput yang luput dari media arus utama sekaligus sebagai kontrol sosial. Program yang dijalani antara lain membangun relasi, mengedukasi masyarakat, menulis dan meneliti, melakukan penghijauan, mengampanyekan diet plastik, ajakan penjagaan lingkungan hidup, dan mempromosikan para perempuan pembuat perubahan.Kata Kunci: Perempuan; Lingkungan; Ekofeminisme; Perempuan Peduli Leuser

Abstract

This article aims to examine the influence of Ibn Atiyyah (d. 451 H) to al-Qurtubi (d. 671 H) in the al-Jami' li Ahkam al-Qur'an. Tafsir al-Qurtubi is one of the most well-known interpretations that referred to in the Islamic scientific tradition. This research is a qualitative research using analytical descriptive method. This research is library research and taking the book of al-Jami' li Ahkam al-Qur'an and al-Muharrar al-Wajiz as primary sources. This article departs from the necessity of being influenced in every thought and science. Every interpreter must be in certain situations that can affect his understanding of the interpreted text, or in Gadamer's hermeneutics it is called historically effected consciousness. This article finds that the influence of al-Qurtubi from Ibn Atiyyah is very strong, both in the methodological and thought aspect. The influence of Ibn Atiyyah in the interpretation of al-Qurtubi can be seen from the many opinions and thoughts of Ibn Atiyyah that adopted by al-Qurtubi in his interpretation, both from the aspect of bi al-ma'sur interpretation, qira'at aspects, grammatical nahwu, balagah, fiqh and Islamic law. In addition, in several respects, al-Qurtubi also discussed, commented on, and criticized Ibn Atiyyah's opinion in al-Muharrar al-Wajiz.

Abstract

This article aims to explain Ibn Atiyya’s method to revealing Israiliyyat stories in his interpretation of al-Muharrar al-Wajiz. This research is an attempt to see how far Ibn Atiyya’s consistency is in applying the general method he has described in the preliminary of his tafsir when interacting with Israiliyyat stories. Apart from that, this research also seeks to explore Ibn Atiyya’s detailed method when presenting the Israiliyyat narrations in its interpretation and expose the practical examples as the application of the method. Using the analytical descriptive method, this study finds that Ibn Atiyya is quite consistent in applying the general method he has described in the preliminary of his tafsir by mentioning important Israiliyyat stories that can’t be separated from the explanation of the meaning of the verse. In contrast to the previous commentators who mentioned the Israiliyyat narrations in length and width, Ibn Atiyya described Israiliyyat reports briefly and criticized the narrations that had no basis or arguments sahih that could be justified. In addition, this study also found that Ibn Atiyya was careful in taking Israiliyyat stories and trying to free the tafsir from the Israiliyyat stories which was not based on the explanation of the Prophet Muhammad. Ibn Atiyyah also calls for reducing the stories of Israiliyyat in the tafsir literature and sometimes also adding comments and criticisms to the narrations of Israiliyyat that he mentions.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the relationship between digitizing interpretation, texts, messages, and societal practices through the transformation, reception, and deconstruction of Tafsir Al-Mishbah. The issue of digitizing interpretation is often viewed solely through the lens of technological transition and historical narrative, overlooking its societal implications. This study seeks to delve into the interplay among these elements by examining the digitization process, features of the digital application, and societal reception of Tafsir Al-Mishbah. It outlines three problem formulations: the digitalization process, features in the digital application, and reception within the digitization phenomenon. To address these formulations, a qualitative netnographic research method was employed. Data were collected through observation and documentation, primarily from video recordings on the Quraish Shihab YouTube channel, which provides insights into the digitization process and various versions of Tafsir Al-Mishbah. The research concludes that digitalization serves as a means to transform Tafsir Al-Mishbah, enabling independent Qur’an study while maintaining ties with authoritative figures. It bridges innovations with limitations present in printed editions, catering to the public's needs. Furthermore, the digitization of Tafsir Al-Mishbah is closely tied to Quraish Shihab's interpretation of divine promises, as referenced in QS. al-Qamar [54]: 17, 22, 32, and 40. This study highlights the often-overlooked aspects of digitalization, showcasing its relationship with innovation, ideology, and public reception. It underscores that the transformation of religious texts, including the Qur’an and Tafsir, contributes to the discourse on the living Qur’an and living Tafsir.

Abstract

As a method of traditional medicine, cupping began to be in great demand by the public. Of course, this is an interesting phenomenon to be discussed. With the development of science, especially in the field of therapy, cupping is combined with modern communication techniques, namely Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). The attempt to combine cupping with NLP is a novelty aspect in the study of cupping. This practice is carried out at Kopsen Rumah Sehat Thibbunnabawi, one of the few cupping clinics that use NLP techniques as a medium. Therefore, this article examines how Neuro-Linguistic Programming becomes a medium used in cupping practice. This research is a type of qualitative research using a phenomenological approach. Data collection methods used are interviews, observation, and documentation. Using the descriptive analysis method, there were five research informants, consisting of one therapist and four patients. This study found that: first, understanding of text internalization from cupping hadiths is still limited to the patient’s educational background or practical experience of each individual. Thus, various reasons from patients believe in cupping as a treatment. Second, the application of NLP as a cupping medium makes patients more comfortable and confident in doing therapy. Third, the application of NLP might be a solution so that patients who come are healed physically and psychologically.[Sebagai metode pengobatan tradisional, bekam mulai banyak diminati masyarakat. Tentu ini menjadi fenomena yang menarik untuk di diskusikan dan dikaji. Terlebih seiring berkembangnya ilmu pengetahuan terkhusus dalam bidang terapi, bekam dipadukan dengan teknik komunikasi modern yakni Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). Upaya untuk memadukan antara bekam dengan NLP merupakan aspek kebaharuan dalam ranah kajian mengenai bekam. Praktik seperti ini dilakukan di Kopsen Rumah Sehat Thibbunnabawi menjadi salah satu dari sedikit klinik bekam yang menggunakan teknik NLP sebagai medianya. Oleh karenanya, artikel ini mengkaji bagaimana Neuro Linguistic Programming menjadi media yang digunakan dalam praktik bekam. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologis. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian berjumlah 5 orang, terdiri dari 1 orang terapis, dan 4 pasien. Dengan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa: pertama, pemahaman mengenai internalisasi teks dari hadis berbekam masih sebatas latar belakang pendidikan pasien ataupun pengalaman empiris dari tiap individu. Sehingga beragam alasan dari pasien meyakini bekam sebagai sebuah pengobatan. Kedua, pengaplikasian NLP sebagai media bekam menjadikan pasien lebih nyaman dan percaya diri untuk melakukan terapi. Ketiga, penerapan NLP mungkin bisa menjadi solusi agar pasien yang datang tidak hanya sembuh secara fisik namun sembuh pula dari segi psikologis.]

Abstract

The study of guidance and counseling at this time is very much discussed. The counseling process is the provision of assistance to clients who experience problems. This paper tries to examine how the personality of the counselor must be possessed when the counseling process is carried out. This study used the literature review method, where data mining was obtained from searching journal articles and other related sources. This research produced the personality counselors must have, namely: (1) have faith and piety to God, (2) practice God's teachings, (3) have empathy and be able to motivate, (4) uphold human values, (5) appreciate, (6) a sincere heart to help, (7) consistent and responsible, and (8) have intelligence, skills, and a strong personality. This personality functions during pre-counseling, during counseling, and post-counseling.
