Abstract

The implementation of traditional marriages in the Mandailing community is still very strong today. Because for the Mandailing people, marriage is a procession carried out according to religion and custom. So, until now, marriage in the Mandailing community still follows the customs that have been carried out by the ancestors of the Mandailing community for a long time, even though they have joined the teachings of the Islamic religion which is strongly adhered to by the community. This research was conducted to determine the traditional marriage process in the Mandailing community and its relevance to Islamic law. This research is field research, namely using Tanjung Julu village in Mandailing as a research object. The approach taken is a normative legal approach. In collecting data, observation, interviews, documentation, and a literature study were carried out. Next, all data was analyzed descriptively. The results of the research explain that the traditional marriage practices carried out by the Mandailing community in Tanjung Julu village still take place according to customs that have been passed down from generation to generation. Starting from the process of manyapai boru (khitbah), patibal sere (determining the dowry), and horja (wedding procession). Furthermore, all stages carried out in the wedding procession are adjusted to State Law and Islamic Law, so it can be concluded that Islamic teachings are still very relevant in all processions carried out by the community and do not violate the Law and teachings of the Islamic religion.

Abstract

الأهداف هذا البحث هو: 1) لمعرفة عدد كلمة الساعة في القرآن الكريم، 2) لمعرفة الآيات و السور التي ذكرت فيها كلمة الساعة في القرآن الكريم, 3) لمعرفة معانيها بحسب سياقه. واستخدم الباحث في هذا البحث الأساليب التاريخية أو الأساليب التاريخية. تتكون الطريقة التاريخية من جمع البيانات ونقد المصدر والتفسير وأخيراً التأريخ. أما مناهج البحث المستخدمة في هذا البحث فهي المنهج الجغرافي، والمنهج السوسيولوجي، والمنهج التربوي، والتربية التاريخية. ومنهج هذا البحث هو البحث المكتبي بطريقة تحليلية. ونتائج هذا البحث هو: 1) عدد كلمة الساعة في القرآن الكريم ذكرت 48 مرة. 2) وذكرت في سورة الأنعام الآية 31 و40، سورة الأعراف الآية 34 و187، سورة التوبة الآية 117، يونس الآية 45 و49، يوسف الآية 107، الحجر الآية 85، النحل الآية 61 و77، الكهف الآية 21 و37، مريم الآية 75، طه الآية 15، الأنبياء الآية 49، الحج ألآية 1، 7 و 55، الفرقان الآية 11، الروم الآية 12، 14 و55، لقمان الآية 34، الأحزاب الآية 63، سبأ الآية 3 و30، غافر الآية 46 و59، فصلت الآية 47 و50، الشورى الآية 17 و18، الزخرف الآية 61، 66 و85، الجاثية الآية 27 و32، الأحقاف الآية 35، محمد الآية 18، القمر الآية 1 و46، النازعات الآية 42. 3) فيها معنيان يعني الوقت والقيامة، ومعنى "الوقت" ذكرت 8 مرة في القرآن الكريم, ومعنى "القيامة" ذكرت 40 مرة في القرآن الكريم.

Abstract

Perkawinan merupakan hal yang sangat sakral dalam kehidupan seseorang. Bagi masyarakat Mandailing bahwa perkawinan merupakan kegiatan yang harus dilangsungkan secara agama dan adat. Pelaksanaan rangkaian adat pada perkawinan menjadi bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dengan rangkaian agama pada upacara perkawinan. Bahkan, untuk sebagian daerah bahwa perkawinan yang belum dituntaskan bagian-bagian adatnya, maka hal tersebut belum dianggap sempurna sebagai sebuah rangkaian perkawinan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pergeseran pemahaman sebagian masyarakat Mandailing terkait rangkaiat adat dalam perkawinan khususnya di desa Purba Baru. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian lapangan. Dalam mengumpulkan data primer, maka dilakukan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan untuk data skunder, maka dilakukan studi pustaka terkait objek yang diteliti. Selanjutnya data-data temuan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa pelaksanaan sejumlah rangkaian adat pada masyarakat Mandailing khususnya di desa Purba Baru telah mengalami perubahan. Ada beberapa rangkaian adat dihilangkan dalam prosesi perkawinan, karena dianggap tabdzir dan perbuatan sia-sia.

Abstract

In the Panyabungan community, customary law plays a strong role in regulating various aspects of life, including matters of divorce. However, these customary practices often do not align with the provisions of Islamic law, which has strict principles regarding divorce. This study aims to understand how customary divorce is practiced, the reasons for divorce recognized by customary law, and to compare these with the regulations of divorce in Islamic law. The approach used is qualitative with a descriptive-analytical method. Data were collected through field observations, interviews with customary leaders and the community, as well as literature reviews related to Islamic law and customary practices. The results of the study indicate that although there are similarities in some basic principles, such as the mutual consent of both parties, there are significant differences in the procedures and reasons for divorce between customary law and Islamic law.

هذا البحث من دراسة مكتبية، بذلك أن يعتمد فيه الكاتبة على المعلومات النصية من الكتوب للحصول على مادته العلمية. ومصادر البيانات الأساسية هي كتاب القاموس المساعد لكتاب العربية بين يديك، ومصادر البيانات الثانوية هي الكتب المتنوعة التي فيها علاقة في هذا البحث . والنتيجة من هذا البحث تدل على خصائص من القاموس العربية بين يديك أن هذا الكتاب ألفه لطلاب الإندونيسين الذين يتعلمون اللغة العربية بكتاب العربية بين يديك.

Abstract

This research explores traditional values in the traditional inheritance distribution system carried out by the Sidojadi community in Mandailing Natal Regency from the perspective of Islamic law. So, the research aims to understand how local customary values and traditions coexist with various principles contained in Islamic law regarding the inheritance distribution process. The data found were analyzed using the descriptive-analytical method, namely analyzing primary and secondary data obtained through interviews and literature studies and trying to see the relationship between the two. The results of the research explain that the relationship between the customary inheritance system and the principles of Islamic law which is reflected in the arrangements for the distribution of inheritance in the Sidojadi community, starting from the appointment of heirs, as well as the involvement of traditional institutions in this process has illustrated a very positive thing. Apart from that, the research results also explain that the harmony between traditional values and principles in Islamic law related to the context of inheritance distribution in Sidojadi society is very appropriate.

Abstract

Teaching young children foreign languages, particularly Arabic, optimizes their developmental potential. This community service program aims to implement and analyze effective strategies for introducing Arabic vocabulary that children can memorize and articulate proficiently. The activities are participatory and involve local residents at PAUD An-Nur Serba Jadi IV, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang. The strategies employed include introduction, approaches, routine activities, the use of visual media, memorization through singing and movement, individual and group evaluations, and the provision of rewards. The program results indicate a 53% increase in the recognition of Arabic vocabulary, with a breakdown showing a 12% increase in Cycle 1 and a 65% increase in Cycle 2. The enjoyable learning-through-play method, which aligns with the characteristics of early childhood, has proven effective in enhancing vocabulary recognition and memorization. Recommendations for future community service initiatives include expanding the vocabulary scope, extending the duration of activities, and fostering collaboration with students' parents to create a conducive Arabic-speaking environment for children. Collaboration between academics, education practitioners, and policymakers is also necessary to optimize foreign language education from an early age.

Abstract

This community service program was implemented to enhance Qur'anic literacy and strengthen ibadah practices among the community around Jabal Rahmah Mosque and Rumah Tahfiz Qur'an (RTQ) Ibnu Mas'ud, Nagari Sago Salido, Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra, through a Service Learning approach. The "Manjapuik Barokah" themed program involved 41 participants, 30 congregational mothers, and 11 RTQ students, using participatory and educational methods over 15 days during Ramadan. The Service Learning stages encompassed preparation (needs identification), service (implementation of tahsin halaqah, practical fiqh workshops, and religious social activities), reflection (student-community evaluation and reflection), and celebration (program closure and sustainability). Evaluation results demonstrated significant improvements in Qur'anic reading abilities, with 80% of students experiencing increased memorization of at least ¼ juz, 25% improvement in mothers' tajwid reading quality. They strengthened ukhuwah Islamiyah through religious social activities. Students acquired experiential learning experiences that enhanced pedagogical and leadership competencies through systematic reflection. This program successfully established a sustainable community-based religious education system involving local halaqah coordinators. The Service Learning approach effectively bridges academic theory with real community needs while developing student character through critical reflection processes.
