Abstract

Marriage is not merely the completion of half of one's religion, a Sunnah of the Prophet that his followers should carry out, but also to produce a superior generation, both in character and deeds. Individuals who are about to marry should have a foundation of knowledge to build a harmonious family, Sakinah mawaddah warohmah (a harmonious family). However, in reality, most individuals are preoccupied with pursuing careers to meet the demands of life, but on the other hand, they do very little to prepare themselves to build a family. As a result, families are formed based solely on acquired experiences without knowing what is right or wrong or what is ideal. Consequently, many family problems arise, such as divorce, family disputes, juvenile delinquency, drug use, and others, which often break our hearts. Motivated by these issues, the School of Parenting Keluarga Samara (Creating a Harmonious Family, Shaping a Superior Generation) online program aims to provide a foundation for young families or future parents to build a strong and harmonious family and to produce a superior generation. The training is conducted with participants joining a WhatsApp group. Subsequently, participants receive structured material online through Zoom meetings. Pre-tests and post-tests are conducted before and after each material delivery. Alhamdulillah, the results of this activity have had a positive impact on the community, as the pre-test and post-test results show a significant difference between before and after participating in the activity, with a significance level of 0.000 (p<0.05). The post-test results show better results compared to the pre-test.

Abstract

Fulfillment of quality and safe food is the human right of every Indonesian citizen. However, research results show that many cases of disease in the community occur due to food poisoning, and in fact most often occur in children. Meanwhile, there is a government program called the national movement towards school children's snacks (PJAS) that are safe, healthy and clean. The facts show that many hawkers do not understand the importance of this movement in applying it to their merchandise. The aim of this service activity is to provide guidance, training, mentoring and inspection of food additives and microbes in the snacks of hawkers in the Sleman Regency area, especially for members of the Mugo Lestari School Hawker Community (KUPAS), especially in one of the elementary schools in Sleman. The methods used in this activity are guidance, training and assistance to hawkers. Various outreach activities, coaching the KUPAS organization and several times providing subsidies to carry out laboratory tests on school snacks produced by KUPAS members. One of the qualitative results of checking school snacks, there were still several member products that detected E Coli, rhodamine, borax, formalin. Efforts to follow up this activity by giving stickers to traders for those who meet the safe criteria for laboratory examination. Laboratory test results that still contain contaminated materials are carried out by coaching and food testing until the total is negative.

Abstract

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic validity of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) risk score for prediabetes screening among prospective Hajj pilgrims in 2025.Methods: A diagnostic cross-sectional study was conducted on 232 prospective pilgrims from KBIHU Multazam Addakwah using total sampling. The primary variables were the ADA risk score (cut-off ≥4) and fasting plasma glucose as the reference standard. Data were collected through the ADA risk questionnaire and fasting glucose measurement, then analyzed using ROC curve and diagnostic performance metrics. Results: The prevalence of prediabetes was 10.99%. The ADA risk score demonstrated a sensitivity of 65%, specificity of 57.4%, positive predictive value of 15.8%, negative predictive value of 93%, and overall accuracy of 58.2%. The area under the curve (AUC) was 61.0% (95% CI: 50.7%–71.3%; p=0.042).Conclusion: The ADA risk score shows good exclusion capability for prediabetes but limited discriminatory accuracy, and therefore cannot yet be recommended as a standalone primary screening tool for Indonesian Hajj pilgrims without further modification. Abstract

Background: Overweight and obesity are increasing globally and in Indonesia, particularly among pre-seniors and seniors. Age-related changes and behavioral factors heighten obesity risk. Data from the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (SKI) show a high burden of obesity among older adults in Central Java. Objective: To identify determinants of overweight and obesity risk factors among pre-seniors and seniors in Central Java based on the 2023 SKI data. Methods: A cross-sectional study using secondary data from 23,602 respondents aged ≥45 years in Central Java. Nutritional status was assessed using Body Mass Index (BMI). Sociodemographic characteristics, consumption patterns, and physical activity were analyzed using chi-square tests and multivariate logistic regression to estimate Adjusted Odds Ratios (aOR). Results: 42.2% of respondents were overweight or obese. Risk factors included age ≥60 years (aOR=1.695), urban residence (aOR=1.349), and daily sweet beverage consumption (aOR=1.374). Protective factors included male sex (aOR=0.414), low education (aOR=0.628), marital status (married/widowed), and heavy physical activity (aOR=0.808). Moderate physical activity was not significant after adjustment. Conclusion: Obesity among pre-seniors and seniors in Central Java is influenced by demographic, social, and behavioral factors, indicating the need for tailored prevention strategies for older adults.

Abstract

Integrasi Mahadata dan Internet of Things(IoT) berpotensi memperkuat kesinambungan layanan melalui data terstandar, pemantauan fisiologis real-time, serta peringatan dini komplikasi.
