Abstract

This study aims to 1) Know the ICT-based geography learning media currently used, (2) to know teachers’ and students’ need for Android-based geography interactive multimedia, and (3) determine the appropriate type of interactive multimedia to be developed. The type of research is qualitative research with a questionnaire as the instrument. Qualitative data was used to answer research objectives. Respondents in this study were geography teachers and students of class XI IPS of Public Senior High School 12 Pekanbaru. The results showed that; (1) the type of ICT-based learning media used in geography learning is still dominated by the use of PowerPoint slides, instructional videos, and the internet, (2) teachers and students desperately need interactive multimedia on Android-based geography to help the learning process of geography be more interesting and interactive. (3) Types of interactive multimedia based on android that can be developed are drill and practice, tutorials, simulations, and games. This research suggested developing interactive multimedia based on android geography as well as training for geography teachers to produce their own.Keyword: need assessment; interactive multimedia; geography learning

Abstract

Kabupaten Pesisir Barat merupakan salah satu kabupaten yang paling rawan bencana di Provinsi Lampung seperti bencana gempa, tsunami, longsor dan banjir. Untuk itu perlu adanya upaya agar dapat meminimalisir dampak bencana. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi kepada guru baik di tingkat SMP maupun SMA untuk mengintegrasikan materi mitigasi bencana di setiap mata pelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan salah satu bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui kegiatan focus group duscussion (FGD) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa belum adanya upaya untuk mengintegrasikan materi mitigasi bencana di setiap mata pelajaran meskipun materi ini sangat penting untuk diaplikasikan mengingat banyak sekolah di Kabupaten Pesisir Barat berada di daerah rawan bencana. Solusi yang di tawarkan peneliti adalah adanya pelatihan bagi guru mengenai cara mengintegrasikan materi mitigasi bencana di setiap mata pelajaran.

Abstract

Pendidikan artinya proses untuk mengembangkan potensi menjadi eksklusif yg bisa berkontribusi bagi masyarakat . Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan primer untuk melihat korelasi antara contoh pembelajaran Snowball Throwing dengan minat belajar siswa di mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) di SMPN 6 Bandar Lampung. Metode penelitian ini ialah naratif kuantitatif, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan datanya berupa observasi, wawancara, serta dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui beberapa uji statistik, yaitu uji F, uji t, uji N-gain, serta uji korelasi Pearson Product moment. sesuai hasil yang ditemukan bahwa ada keterkaitan antara penggunaan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing dengan minat belajar siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai koefisien hubungan sebanyak 0,619 (relatif kuat) serta nilai signifikansinya 0,021 lebih kecil asal 0,05, yg berarti korelasi tersebut signifikan secara statistik. Jadi kesimpulannya ialah ada korelasi yg konkret antara model pembelajaran serta minat belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Kabupaten Pringsewu, Provinsi Lampung, memiliki kerentanan terhadap bencana seperti kebakaran, banjir, dan gempa bumi. Upaya mitigasi bencana di lingkungan pendidikan merupakan langkah strategis untuk menciptakan Satuan Pendidikan Aman Bencana (SPAB). Program ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas guru Geografi melalui forum Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Kabupaten Pringsewu dalam mengintegrasikan materi mitigasi bencana ke dalam pembelajaran Geografi. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi koordinasi dengan BPBD dan MGMP, penyusunan modul pembelajaran berbasis lokal, pelatihan penyusunan perangkat ajar, serta pelatihan teknis penggunaan Alat Pemadam Api Ringan (APAR) dan simulasi evakuasi darurat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman guru terkait SPAB dan mitigasi bencana dengan rata-rata peningkatan skor pemahaman ±30%. Guru menghasilkan perangkat ajar berbasis kebencanaan dan menyusun dokumen Rencana Aksi SPAB di sekolah masing-masing. Kolaborasi antara universitas, BPBD, dan MGMP terbukti efektif menciptakan dampak multiplikasi ke berbagai sekolah asal peserta. Temuan ini mendukung bahwa pendekatan berbasis komunitas profesi guru dapat menjadi model replikasi implementasi pendidikan mitigasi bencana secara berkelanjutan di tingkat kabupaten.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir spasial siswa dalam pembelajaran geografi yang masih didominasi metode konvensional. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik berbasis Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir spasial siswa pada materi mitigasi bencana di SMA Negeri 1 Pringsewu. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas X yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling, masing-masing sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada kelas eksperimen dengan rata-rata posttest 78,44 dan N-gain 43,71% kategori sedang, lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol dengan rata-rata 61,69 dan N-gain 29,89% kategori rendah. Uji Mann-Whitney menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,017 (<0,05) yang menegaskan perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Dengan demikian, penggunaan LKPD berbasis Problem Based Learning terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir spasial siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the spatial pattern of the distribution of public junior high schools (SMP) in Metro City as a basis for evaluating equitable access to education in urban areas. A quantitative approach was used with the Nearest Neighbor Analysis (NNA) method based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). School location data was obtained from the Education Office and field mapping results, then analyzed using ArcGIS 10.8 software to calculate the spatial distribution index (T). The results showed that the 10 public junior high schools in Metro City were spread across five subdistricts with an even distribution pattern (T value = 1.8). These schools were generally located around collector road networks and residential centers, indicating a strong correlation between the location of educational facilities and factors of accessibility and population density. These findings indicate that local government policies have taken into account the principle of spatial justice in the provision of educational services. GIS-based spatial analysis has proven to be effective in evaluating the equitable distribution of educational facilities and can be used as a basis for planning new schools in potentially developing suburban areas. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating spatial planning and educational policy to achieve sustainable access equity. Abstract

Sleman Regency does not have a landfill after the issuance of the Piyungan Landfill Decentralization Letter. According on Government Regulation No. 81 of 2012 Article 23, the Regency/City Government are required to provide a landfill in accordance with the RTRW and meet technical requirements. In Sleman Regional Regulation No. 13 of 2021 concerning RTRW, the PKN area is conditionally permitted to build a landfill. This research aims to evaluate the feasibility of landfill locations designated in the RTRW based on the parameters outlined in Article 23 paragraph (3) of the Government Regulation. The spatial analysis method was by overlaying and assigning scores to each parameter. Secondary data were used, obtained through agency surveys and literature studies. The results showed that the PKN area does not have an site feasible for a landfill. The research findings can be used as input in reviewing the landfill location policy.
