Abstract

The Islamic banking industry has transformed into an industry with prospects that can surpass conventional banking. This study analyzes the effect of the financial performance and soundness of Bank Syariah Indonesia before the mega-merger on profitability. The research uses bank health indicators, including Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non-Performing Financing (NPF), Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR), Operational Efficiency Ratio (OER), Net Operating Margin (NOM), and Return on Assets (ROA). The research method uses multiple linear regression. The results showed that CAR, NPF, and NOM did not affect ROA. However, FDR and OER affect ROA. Indonesian Islamic banks need to pay attention to the feasibility aspect of financing to avoid non-performing financing. Islamic banks use FDR and OER to increase their profitability because the conditions experienced by Bank Syariah Indonesia as the leading Islamic bank in Indonesia after the mega-merger, are considered capable of simultaneously representing.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how job demand, task repetitiveness, and role ambiguity influence employee boredom among Generation Z employees in startups in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through a survey of 150 purposively selected respondents. Respondent criteria included Generation Z employees who had worked for at least one year and held staff positions in startups operating in five major cities in Indonesia. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale, and analysis was conducted through multiple linear regression. The results show that collectively, job demand, task repetitiveness, and role ambiguity have a significant influence on employee boredom. Individually, all three variables also show a positive influence, meaning that the higher the job demands, the more frequently tasks are repeated, and the more unclear the employee's role, the greater the likelihood of boredom at work. These findings contribute to the organizational behavior literature and provide practical recommendations for startup management to develop more effective human resource management strategies, such as balancing workloads, creating variety in tasks, and clarifying each employee's role to reduce the risk of boredom and increase overall team productivity.

Abstract

In the past five years, PLO fertilizers in the Southern Sumatra (Sumbagsel) operational area, which covers six provinces, have experienced 11 complaints originating from customer complaints (PBSN, retail market, and government), related partners such as trucking companies, warehouse parties, as well as internal PLO Fertilizer parties. These complaints have not been optimally managed because there is no PLO fertilizer branch office in the Sumbagsel working area. This has impacted the last five-year period, during which there has been a decline in PLO fertilizer sales in the Sumbagsel work area, with a decrease ranging from 10% to 15%. The aim of this research is to encourage the availability of PLO fertilizer branch offices in the Sumbagsel work area. The method in this study uses a qualitative approach with source triangulation through in-depth and structured interviews conducted repeatedly with informants who meet specific criteria. The research results identified six key success factors in determining strategic locations for PLO fertilizer branch offices in the Sumbagsel working area. These six factors were obtained from processing and analysis using the rating factor method. The processing results show that South Sumatra Province, with its capital Palembang, received the highest ranking weight compared to other provinces, which is 77.77. It is recommended that the city of Palembang be designated as the location for a branch office that manages and serves PLO Fertilizers in the South Sumatra working area. With six key success factors inherent in the city of Palembang, it is expected that operational productivity in the South Sumatra working area will grow and improve.
