Abstract

This community service program by Universitas Riau's Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) involved planting 300 matoa tree seedlings in Sendayan Village to raise environmental awareness, expand green areas, and support ecosystem conservation. Matoa (Pometia pinnata) was chosen for its ecological benefits as a carbon sink and economic value as a tropical fruit. The program successfully engaged the local community, students, and village officials in collaborative efforts for environmental stewardship. The planted trees are expected to contribute to improved air quality, soil preservation, and provide future economic benefits through fruit harvesting. This initiative represents a sustainable step towards improving community welfare and promoting environmental responsibility in rural Indonesia.

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted in Poton Bako Village, Jerowaru District, where limited access to health services and low public awareness of routine health check-ups were identified. The activity aimed to improve access to healthcare services and promote early disease detection. A descriptive observational approach was used through a free health screening program involving 50 participants aged 3 to 45 years. The implementation included registration, vital signs examination, basic laboratory tests, medical examination by a general practitioner, as well as medication dispensing and education on proper drug use. The results showed that participants obtained initial information about their health conditions and demonstrated increased awareness of the importance of regular health check-ups. The activity also supported preventive efforts through health education and appropriate medication use. It was concluded that free health screening was effective in improving access to healthcare services and increasing community awareness of early disease detection.

Abstract

This study examines the differentiation of tourism workforce certification based on ASEAN MRA-TP and SKKNI standards within the KSATRIA Program to strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesia’s tourism human resources. A descriptive comparative quantitative approach was applied using secondary data from the 2025 KSATRIA Program. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, cross-tabulation, and Chi-Square tests with SPSS software. The results show that certification remains dominated by SKKNI standards with significant regional differences. These findings highlight gaps in ASEAN MRA-TP implementation and provide empirical support for strengthening ASEAN-aligned certification to improve workforce competitiveness and regional mobility readiness. Abstract

This study examines the limited effectiveness of digital promotion in developing cultural tourism in Cirebon. It aims to analyze the role of digital promotion and propose an integrated framework. A qualitative case study was conducted using observation, interviews, and documentation, analyzed through thematic analysis with NVivo 12. The results show that digital promotion enhances destination visibility and tourist attraction, but its effectiveness is constrained by limited human resources, weak content management, and insufficient stakeholder collaboration. The study implies that integrated digital strategies, strategic content development, and collaborative governance are essential to support sustainable cultural tourism development.
