Abstract

Omah Katresnan Orphanage faces challenges in creating economic independence due to a lack of human resources to manage businesses and a reliance on donor funds. This community service activity aims to improve the creative skills and independence of foster children through written batik and ecoprint training. The activity involved 25 participants consisting of foster children and orphanage administrators. The implementation method used a community-based training approach consisting of four main stages: observation, socialization, technical training phases 1 and 2, and evaluation. The results showed that participants were able to understand and apply basic batik techniques (using canting, coloring) and ecoprint techniques (selecting natural motifs, hammering). In addition to producing economically valuable products such as tote bags and decorative fabrics, the program succeeded in increasing participants' self-confidence, creativity, and cultural awareness. This program recommends sustainable independent practice by the orphanage to strengthen entrepreneurial potential in the future.

Abstract

The potential of hybrid corn in Karangkajen Village, Magelang Regency, has not been optimally utilized because the harvest is only sold raw as animal feed with low economic value. This community empowerment aims to empower PKK mothers and women farmers through product diversification to create added value and business opportunities. The method used was Participatory Action Research with participatory training techniques, involving 34 participants in the practice of making cornstarch and paper glue from hybrid corn. As a result, the participants successfully produced both products, understood production cost analysis, and simple packaging and marketing strategies. This activity received an enthusiastic and participatory response from the community. It was concluded that assistance in processing agricultural products has the potential to increase income and encourage economic independence based on local potential, so it needs to be supported by sustainability strategies.

Abstract

ABSTRACTOne of the policies taken by the Indonesian government to encourage tourism is to establish Super Priority Tourism Destinations, of which Borobudur Temple is one of them. To support this, villages around Borobudur Temple are also encouraged to develop their respective tourism potential, especially Borobudur Village. This is because administratively Borobudur Temple is in the administrative area of Borobudur Village. The aim of this research is to analyze the components of tourist destinations in Borobudur Village. This research uses qualitative methods by collecting data through focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, observation and literature study. The research results show that the attraction components are complete from natural, cultural and artificial attractions. Accessibility is still constrained by the width of the entrance roads to several tourist attractions, the availability of parking spaces and the optimization of directions to the Tourism Village. In the amenities component, supporting facilities are available ranging from accommodation, shopping, health services, banking, but the quantity and quality still need to be improved. In the ansillery component, the parties involved in tourism activities in Borobudur Village are quite diverse, both at the central and village levels. BUMDes Graha Mandala and the Borobudur Tourism Village Team have shown positive contributions in developing tourism in Borobudur Village. It's just that communication between tourism actors at all levels needs to be improved so that stakeholder aspirations can be accommodated optimally.ABSTRAKSalah satu kebijakan yang diambil pemerintah Indonesia untuk mendorong pariwisata adalah menetapkan Destinasi Pariwisata Super Prioritas dimana Candi Borobudur menjadi salah satunya. Untuk mendukung hal tersebut, desa-desa yang berada di sekitar Candi Borobudur pun didorong untuk mengembangkan potensi wisatanya masing-masing terutama Desa Borobudur. Hal ini dikarenakan secara administratif Candi Borobudur berada dalam kawasan administratif Desa Borobudur. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis komponen destinasi wisata yang ada di Desa Borobudur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui focus group discussion, wawancara mendalam, observasi dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komponen atraksi sudah lengkap dari atraksi alam, budaya dan buatan. Untuk aksesibilitas masih terkendala pada lebar jalan masuk ke beberapa tempat wisata, ketersediaan lahan parkir serta optimalisasi penunjuk arah ke Kampung Wisata. Pada komponen amenitas, fasilitas pendukung sudah tersedia dari mulai penginapan, tempat belanja, layanan kesehatan, perbankan namun secara kuantitas dan kualitas masih perlu ditingkatkan. Dalam komponen ansileri, pihak yang terlibat dalam kegiatan wisata di Desa Borobudur cukup beragam baik level pusat maupun desa. BUMDes Graha Mandala dan Tim Desa Wisata Borobudur telah menunjukkan kontribusi positif dalam pengembangan wisata di Desa Borobudur. Hanya saja komunikasi antarpelaku wisata di semua level perlu ditingkatkan sehingga aspirasi stakeholders dapat diakomodir dengan maksimal.
