Abstract

The dynamics of growth and development of Madrasa Tsanawiyah Darud Dakwah Wal Irsyad Palu are covered in this research from an educational management perspective. The methodologies used in research are library research. Data is collected based on books, journal, written works, including research results both published and unpublished. The aim of this research is to evaluate and examine the dynamics of the expansion and progress of the Temporary Darud Dakwah Wal Irsyad Madrasa Tsanawiyah (1969–2013). The study’s findings suggest that the dynamic growth of Darud Dakwah Wal Irsyad Madrasa Tsanawiyah year over year year from 1969 to the present not seeing any notable expansion. Several things have been done, such as exploring the hamlet to look for prospective students, disseminating information, and promoting the local community. However, the results did not show significant progress. Several factors that influence this include: Planning has not been integrated with the planning function. Through coordination between the Darud Dakwah Wal Irsyad of Regional Management and Darud Dakwah Wal Irsyad Madrasa Tsanawiyah, the implementation function remains unchanged while the supervision function continues to run simultaneously. It seems that the implementation of this function is carried out simultaneously with both the internal control monitoring duties carried out by the head of Madrasa Tsanawiyah, Darud Dakwah Wal Irsyad Palu, and the exterior supervision carried out by the Regional Management of the Madrasa Committee and Darud Dakwah Wal Irsyad.

Abstract

Radicalism has become one of the recent world problems faced by many countries, including Indonesia. The radical movement in this country is growing rapidly, especially after the reformation era. The spirit of democracy has provided opportunities for radical Islamic groups to express their beliefs openly and use religious symbols in their religious and social movements. This article aims to analyze the historical roots of radicalism in Indonesia and the factors that influence it. This article uses descriptive qualitative methods. The results of the study indicate that the radical movement in Indonesia can be traced from the tendency of groups trying to realize the Islamic State system (the khilafah) in Indonesia. This tendency can be found in several radical groups such as Darul Islam (DI/TII), Jama'ah Islamiyah, Hizb ut-Tahrir Indonesia (HTI), Laskar Jihad, Laskar Jundullah, Laskar Fisabilillah, Islamic Defender Fronts (FPI), and Preparatory Committee for the Application of Islamic Sharia (KPPSI). The study concludes that radicalism in Indonesia is the response of Muslims to the social, economic, and political conditions of Muslims in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the history and dynamics of Persis educational institutions. The research method uses library research with data sources in books form and scientific journals related to the dynamics of educational institutions, and data analysis techniques use content analysis. The study results revealed that Persis birth began with a Tadarusan formation (Islamic religious study) group in Bandung city led by H. Zamzam and H. Muhammad Yunus. Persis has been led by several figures who have their own characteristics of thought, including KH. Zamzam as Persis founder. Ahmad Hasan is the main teacher and founder of Persis. Mohammad Natsir is a political scholar. KH. E. Abdurrahman was a great scholar and a humble legal expert. Persis gives great attention to the education field. In this education field, Persis has established educational institutions ranging from early childhood or kindergarten to tertiary institutions, both in madrasas form, schools, and Islamic boarding schools. Apart from that, Persis also organizes courses and discussion groups. Sources of data were obtained from books and journals of the West Java Ulama Association. Data analysis using content analysis. The study results stated that the Ulama Association was a manifestation of the renewal movement in the Majalengka area, West Java. Ulama Association is a renewal movement founded by KH. Abdul Halim in 1887 in Cibelerang, Majalengka, West Java. KH. Abdul Halim founded Hayatul Qulub, which is engaged in education & in the economic field. Finally, after four years of activity, in 1915, the Hayatul Qulub organization was closed by the government due to fights with traders from China in 1916 KH. Abdul Halim founded Majlisul 'Ilmi, which is well connected with Jam'iat Khair & Al-Irsyad in Jakarta. Then, in 1917, assisted by H.O.S. Cokroaminoto, it became the Ulama Association. The Ulama Association Education System has two stages. First, the Alaqah system or traditional education system, the halaqah system is also called the Weton system, namely where the students take lessons by sitting around kiai in the room, and kiai explains the material in lectures. Second, the modern education system is an education model that uses classes using chairs and tables that are guided and/or organized in the form of class levels over a period of time. The influence of the establishment of the Ulama Association on the Education System increased knowledge such as religious, social, arithmetic, and linguistics, as well as skills teaching. Based on this description, it can be concluded that in development, the organization of the ulama union experienced various changes from time to time.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the dynamics of the Al-Azhar Hamka Islamic educational institution, past, present, and future. This research was written based on a literature review and in-depth understanding and accumulated understanding from various trusted primary book sources. This research type is qualitative with a library research approach. Data collection techniques are carried out with documentation. Sources of data come from books and journals. Data analysis technique using Content Analysis. The study results show that Hamka's Thought in Al-Azhar is actually very centered on instilling values, ethics, and respect for nationalism as an important part of education. Without these three elements, Hamka sees that education is not yet a complete system. These three things are then elaborated in the spirit of Islam as well as Islamic values and the cultural heritage of science, language, and literature from Islamic civilization. Educational management from Al Azhar and Hamka must eventually learn to apply the values needed for modern education. The system used is no longer a top-down system but an engagement study and continued with the implementation of activities that are appropriate for existing students.
