ABSTRAK Pembangunan Nasional pada hakekatnya adalah pembangunan manusia Indonesia yang berkualitas. Salah satu upaya yang strategis adalah melalui pendidikan kesehatan pada anak usia sekolah yang sudah mampu memahami kondisi sakit dan mampu berpartisipasi status kesehatannya. Permasalahan perilaku kesehatan anak sekolah dasar berkaitan dengan kebersihan perorangan dan lingkungan. Hasil penelitian Henny Cahyaningsih menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan rata-rata pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan pada kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol p-value 0.00. Terbukti efektif pemberdayaan keluarga dengan menggunakan modul terhadap pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan dalam pursed lips breathing. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan bagi parasiswa melalui pelatihan dan edukasi tentang latihan pursed lips breathing untuk mencegah gangguan pernafasan. Metoda yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan partisipatif dan pendampingan kepada kepada siswa melalui diskusi, tanya jawab, demonstrasi dan simulasi praktik langsung dalam kelompok masing-masing. Sasarannya adalah siswa Sekolah Dasar kelas 5 sebanyak 20 orang. Hasil terdapat peningkatan score reratasebelum dan setelah pelatihan pada siswa sekolah dasar, rerata pengetahuan (10.7 ke 13.4), rerata sikap (11.75 ke 16) dan rerata keterampilan (3.5 ke 5.75). Kesimpulan pada kegiatan ini, para siswa yang mengikuti pelatihan menunjukkan antusiasme dan mampu mendemonstrasikan latihan pursed lips breathing. Kegiatan ini perlu ditindak lanjuti baik oleh program Usaha kesehatan Sekolah (UKS) di sekolah maupun program kerja di Puskesmas dengan membuat pemetaan capaian pelaksanaan pelatihan pursed lips breathing untuk mencegah gangguan pernafasan di Sekolah Dasar di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas lainnya. One of the strategic efforts is through health education for school-age children who can understand the condition of illness and can participate in their health status. The problem of elementary school children's health behavior is related to personal and environmental hygiene. The results of Henny Cahyaningsih's study showed a difference in the average knowledge, attitude, and skills in the intervention and control groups, with a p-value of 0.00. It has been proven effective in empowering families using modules on knowledge, attitudes, and skills in pursed lips breathing. This community service aims to improve students' learning, attitudes, and skills through training and education on pursed lips breathing exercises to prevent respiratory disorders. The method used in this activity is participatory training and mentoring for students through discussions, questions and answers, demonstrations and direct practice simulations in their respective groups. The target is 20 elementary school students in grade 5. The results showed an increase in the average score before and after training in elementary school students, average knowledge (10.7 to 13.4), average attitude (11.75 to 16), and average skills (3.5 to 5.75). The conclusion of this activity, the students who participated in the training showed enthusiasm and were able to demonstrate pursed lips breathing exercises. This activity needs to be followed up by both the School Health Effort (UKS) program in schools and the work program at the Health Center by mapping the achievements of the implementation of pursed lips breathing training to prevent respiratory disorders in the Elementary Schools in other Health Center Work Areas.
