Abstract

Kata Kunci: Untirta, PTNBH, dana abadi perguruan tinggi AbstractThis research aims to explore the discourse and aspirations of the academic community of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University about the institution's efforts to switch from the Public Service Agency (BLU) to the State University with Legal Status (PTN BH) and the institution of university endowment funds. Becoming a PTN BH is a momentum to become a world-class university as stated in Untirta's vision, because there is autonomy in the management of institutions both academic and non-academic. Endowment Fund is one of the funding opportunities to realize this goal. Through public donations, grants, CSR funds and so on, Untirta can make a good investment scheme as a sustainable source of funding. Untirta can adopt the institutional form of endowment funds from PTNBH campuses that have already run endowment funds such as ITB, ITS, UI, IPB University and others. However, among the academic community of Untirta, both PTN BH and university endowment funds have not been well socialized so that negative sentiments among students are dominant. Keywords: untirta, PTNBH, university endowment fund

Abstract

Background: Over the past decade, private investments in health care including hospital have grown significantly, more than doubling. As the number of hospitals in Indonesia increases, a competitive business environment develops. Identifying hospital market structure can help various stakeholders to optimize the hospital's performance. Aims: This study analyzed the market structure and concentration of the hospital industry in Indonesia. Methods: This study used hospital characteristics data from Ministry of Health of Indonesia that retrieved in October 2020. Market concentration is determined by the number of industry players operating in a market, the distribution of services, and the types of services offered. The hospital market concentration was identified by measuring the Concentration Ratio (CR) and the Herfindahl–Hirschman index (HHI). Results: The results showed that the market share of hospitals in Indonesia was still dominated by government hospitals, which represent 51.4% of the market share. The concentration ratio of four companies (CR4) remains <40, indicating that competition remains relatively open among private hospitals at the national level. Conclusion: Several cities have established hospital markets that are characterized by robust competition, whereas in other cities, the hospital industry remains oligopolistic or monopolistic. It is important to note, however, that this does not imply that the market structure is ineffective on account of competition; rather, it is the result of a scarcity of hospitals in a number of Indonesian cities. Abstract

Religious hate speech has become more visible in social media, following high-profile cases such as the Church bombing in Sri Lanka and the Friday Prayer shooting in New Zealand in 2019. This research examines the understanding of youth in Banten, an Indonesian province with low religious tolerance, regarding the circulation and consumption of religious hate speech. Using a case study approach and focus group discussions with 33 youth in Banten who consume religious content online, the researchers found that online/social media are becoming the primary platform for learning about religion, despite the frequent exposure to religious content associated with hate speech, especially in relation to politics. The researchers also found that the presence of opinion leaders (religious teachers, parents) and media literacy are important factors in mitigating the spread of religious hate speech.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged teenagers to become active users of social media in their daily lives. However, the high intensity of use is not always accompanied by adequate awareness of ethics, information security, and the social impact of digital activities. This study aims to analyze the level of awareness of teenagers in using social media and how digital literacy affects their mindset and behavior in the digital space. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method in Serang City. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 12 teenagers aged 15–18 years from various educational backgrounds, as well as observations of their social media usage habits. Data analysis was carried out thematically to identify patterns of awareness, understanding of digital risks, and reflective abilities in interacting on social media. The results of the study show that most teenagers have a functional understanding of social media, but have not shown critical awareness of its impact, both on themselves and their social environment. The digital literacy they have tends to be technical and comes from personal experience or peer environment, while support from family and formal education is still minimal. This study recommends the importance of integrating digital literacy education into the school curriculum and strengthening the role of the family in forming a healthy and responsible social media culture

Abstract

Conflicts over sea sand mining in Indonesia has intensified over the past ten years as more concessions have been granted to companies engaged in sea sand production. The location of the sea sand mine overlapping with fishermen's fishing grounds and the lack of communication cause conflicts between coastal and small islands society and local governments, as well as companies that hold license or companies that conduct sea sand mining. The sea sand mining conflicts in three provinces has occurred, escalated and reached the stage of violence. The research used a variety of conflict analysis tools to explain the typology, stages, cycles and applicable conflict management. The research used qualitative methods with a multi-special approach and data collection was carried out by interviewing several informants, and researching documentation studies including literature from similar previous research documentation. The research found that the resolution of sea sand mining conflicts that occurred on the islands of Sumatra, Sulawesi and Nusa Tenggara was competitive with a lose-win orientation. Conflict settlement took place with one party conceding to the other, third-party intervention and consideration on the demand of sea sand market. In three research locations it is known that conflict resolution fails to address the root cause of the issue, causing it to revert to the basic stage of conflict. As a result, at some point, conflict can escalate and become apparent as in line with market demand after the legalization of sea sand exports.

Abstract

The development of digital space has opened up new opportunities for female politicians to negotiate their identities and expand their representation beyond the boundaries of conventional media. This study aims to analyze how female members of the Banten Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) construct gender equality narratives through podcasts on the Banten Podcast channel. Using qualitative content analysis with a social construction approach, this study examines narrative patterns, self-representation strategies, and the framing of gender issues that emerge in podcast conversations. The results reveal three main findings: first, female politicians articulate gender equality issues by combining personal experiences with structural issues, resulting in more authentic and contextual narratives; second, podcasts are used to assert political competence through discussions of the legislative process, policy evaluation, and women's substantive roles in parliament; and third, personal narratives are used as a moral legitimacy strategy that strengthens emotional closeness with the public and challenges gender stereotypes. These findings emphasize the function of podcasts as a digital democratic arena capable of expanding the space for women's political articulation and offering a more equal model of gender representation at the local level.

Abstract

Safeguarding is a critical component of healthcare services, particularly as it relates to protecting vulnerable populations. It aims to shield individuals from violence, exploitation, sexual abuse, and neglect. The concept of safeguarding goes beyond physical protection, encompassing psychological, social, and legal dimensions that uphold individual rights—especially for vulnerable groups such as children, women, persons with disabilities, and those with limited access to safe healthcare services. This community engagement initiative aimed to raise awareness and understanding of safeguarding and risk mitigation in healthcare services. The safeguarding workshop involved participants from Muhammadiyah organizations and utilized group discussions, case studies, role-plays, and scenario-based simulations. Pre- and post-training evaluations were conducted to assess the increase in participant understanding. The results indicated an improvement in safeguarding knowledge and led to the drafting of the initial Safeguarding Guidelines for Health Council of Muhammadiyah Central Board. These guidelines encompass safeguarding definitions, core principles, preventive strategies, case-handling procedures for violence, exploitation, and sexual abuse (VESA), and reporting mechanisms tailored to Muhammadiyah’s context. iven the novelty of safeguarding as a concept, some participants found it challenging to identify forms of VESA or understand preventive measures. Thus, continued efforts through advanced training and broader policy dissemination are necessary to deepen understanding and enhance implementation.
