Abstract

ABSTRACT Based on data from the 2013 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) groups of adolescents to young adults (15-24) have sedentary lifestyles (sedentary / lack of physical activity) of 52%. Lack of physical activity can lead to health risks especially the complications of non-communicable diseases such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension and heart problems. This study aims to determine the relationship of physical activity and its determinants. This study uses a quantitative method with a cross-sectional study design. A total of 846 FIKES UHAMKA students participated in this study. Data collected by filling out the questionnaire by students. Data analysis used the chi square test to determine the relationship between physical activity and its determinants and logistic regression to determine the predictors of physical activity. This study provides results that the average Metabolic Equivalent (MET) score is 1420.33 ± 2384.297. Respondents who have low physical activity by 47.8%, moderate physical activity by 39.6% and high physical activity by only 12.6% of respondents. There is a significant relationship between gender, work status, availability of sports facilities, lecturer support, and perception of sports on physical activity. Active physical activity is more common in male sex respondents, students who are already working, the availability of sports facilities at home or the surrounding environment, the invitation of lecturers to exercise and a good perception of sports. The results also showed that respondents who did not work, did not have sports facilities at home, and had a poor perception of sports were predictors of having passive / mild physical activity. Abstract

Traffic accidents are the leading cause of death in the young adult age group. This study aims to determine the relationship between risky behavior in driving and the incidence of motorbike accidents among students of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. This type of research is quantitative with cross sectional design. A sample of 502 students were selected using a purposive proportional sampling method. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that 32.1% of respondents had a motorcycle accident. The statistical test showed that there was a relationship between listening to music while driving (p = 0.013), driving at a speed of more than 50km / h (p = 0.001), sudden braking (p = 0.000), and overtaking without giving a turn signal (p = 0.006) with motorcycle accident. Risky behavior can reduce a person's concentration in driving so that it can increase the chance of a motor vehicle accident. The university in particular needs to tighten regulations and education for students to be able to increase safe driving behavior.

Abstract

Background: Personal mobile health applications, including the COVID-19 mobile app, offer various benefits for enhancing the effectiveness of health programs. Objective: This study aimed to investigate and compare the factors associated with the utilization of the Peduli Lindungi COVID-19 mobile application, employing the behavioral theory of the Health Belief Model (HBM). Methods: This cross-sectional survey study, conducted at the Department of Public Health in two universities in South Jakarta, Indonesia, involved 744 respondents. The independent variables were derived from the Health Belief Model (HBM), including components such as perceived vulnerability, severity, benefits, obstacles, and self-efficacy. The dependent variable was the use of the COVID-19 mobile application. Results: The majority of respondents, with an average age of 19.9 years, were female. Out of the total, 51.9% (386 individuals) used the PL application in the past seven days, albeit not on a daily basis, and 86.6% utilized the application to access public facilities. Non-users primarily cited a lack of necessity due to not having traveled in the last seven days. The variable of perceived usefulness was significantly associated with application use (p <0.001). Conclusion: There is a need for increased public education regarding the application's benefits. Furthermore, the safe entrance system feature of the app, utilized for accessing public spaces, could be consistently employed to monitor and prevent the transmission of infectious diseases, including COVID-19.

Abstract

Reporting patient safety incidents is essential in improving learning and patient safety. It is necessary to identify reporting challenges to improve the reporting process's success. This study assessed the challenges of patient incident reporting and learning systems in Indonesian private hospitals. This qualitative participatory action research is used. In October 2022, data was collected using a videoconferencing application. This study included 34 quality improvement and patient safety team members from 22 private hospitals. In this study, inductive analysis was used. The challenges of patient safety incident reporting are examined in six categories in this study: reporting environment, reporting rules and content, analysis and investigation, governance, action and learning, and patient and family engagement. The challenges mostly come from reporting environment components such as reporting difficulty and ignorance, a lack of time for analysis, the fear of making a mistake in the reporting process, and insufficient management support. Multiple challenges were encountered in different patient safety incident components. A positive environment for reporting patient safety incidents needs a multifaceted approach, including increased hospital leadership commitment and policies and procedures.

Abstract

Background: Over the past decade, private investments in health care including hospital have grown significantly, more than doubling. As the number of hospitals in Indonesia increases, a competitive business environment develops. Identifying hospital market structure can help various stakeholders to optimize the hospital's performance. Aims: This study analyzed the market structure and concentration of the hospital industry in Indonesia. Methods: This study used hospital characteristics data from Ministry of Health of Indonesia that retrieved in October 2020. Market concentration is determined by the number of industry players operating in a market, the distribution of services, and the types of services offered. The hospital market concentration was identified by measuring the Concentration Ratio (CR) and the Herfindahl–Hirschman index (HHI). Results: The results showed that the market share of hospitals in Indonesia was still dominated by government hospitals, which represent 51.4% of the market share. The concentration ratio of four companies (CR4) remains <40, indicating that competition remains relatively open among private hospitals at the national level. Conclusion: Several cities have established hospital markets that are characterized by robust competition, whereas in other cities, the hospital industry remains oligopolistic or monopolistic. It is important to note, however, that this does not imply that the market structure is ineffective on account of competition; rather, it is the result of a scarcity of hospitals in a number of Indonesian cities. Abstract

The existence of inactive BPJS Kesehatan participants who are in arrears to pay their dues can disrupt the sustainability of the JKN program. Until February 2020, it is known that the proportion of inactive participants has reached 50%. The group of participants who experienced the highest arrears came from the informal sector workers who were included in participants who do not receive wages (PBPU). This study was conducted to determine the factors that influence the intention to pay JKN contributions to informal workers in Depok City in 2020. This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The sample is 110 informal workers in Depok City that selected using non-probability sampling technique. The research data collection was carried out through a questionnaire distributed online. The results showed that most respondents had the intention of paying JKN contributions ≥ Rp. 25,500. Then there is a significant relationship between the attitude variable and the intention to pay JKN contributions (p-value 0.027), where this attitude is obtained from his belief and evaluation of BPJS Kesehatan. Meanwhile, the variable subjective norm (p-value 0.340) and behavior control (p-value 0.093) did not have a significant relationship with the intention to pay JKN contributions. BPJS Kesehatan should adjust the JKN rate to the willingness and ability of participants so that they are willing to pay JKN dues regularly.keyword: Willingness to pay, informal sectors, National Health Insurance, theory of planned behaviorAbstrakKeberadaan peserta tidak aktif BPJS Kesehatan yang menunggak membayar iuran dapat mengganggu sustainabilitas program JKN. Kata kunci: Keinginan membayar, sektor informal, Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional, theory of planned behavior

Abstract

This paper describes PPIM’s research entitled “ The Impact and Resilience of Senior High School Education Institutions in Islamic Boarding Schools (Pesantren) during the COVID-19 Pandemic Crisis: Study of 15 Pesantren in Jakarta, Banten, and West Java” (PPIM, 2021). This study is to observe the resilience and vulnerability of a pesantren towards the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the research also aims to explore the role of nyai (a wife of kiai, a pesantren leader) during the pandemic. The study was conducted from May to November 2021. The result of this study was presented to the public in January 2022.The Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) Republic of Indonesia reported that the pandemic impacted around 68 million students who were forced to do online learning (Puspita, 2021). Pesantren are one of the educational institutions in Indonesia that focus on Islamic teaching. One of the most critical aspects of a pesantren is the dormitory that enables students (santri) to live together in one environment. The essence of pesantren is to train the santri to be independent and educate them to have Islamic values. This essence can only be achieved through direct teaching. When most schools carried out online learning to avoid transmission of the COVID-19 virus, pesantren continued to conduct offline learning as mandated by the joint decision of four Ministries; MEC, Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA), Ministry of Health (MOH), and Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) (Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI, 2020). Even though the Indonesian government has established a set of strict health protocols, it was found that 4.328 santri from 67 pesantren in 13 provinces were confirmed positive of COVID-19 in 2021 (Putri, 2021). A recent study by PPIM UIN Jakarta in 3 Islamic Universities found that pesantren alumni have lower knowledge, behaviour, and perception than non-pesantren alumni. In addition, the study also revealed that male students have more inadequate knowledge, behaviour, and perception than females (PPIM, 2021). On that note, the role of nyai is essential as the messenger of kiai to deliver accurate information and become a role model for santri in enforcing the rules.

Abstract

Posyandu Remaja (Posmaja) is a community-based adolescent care service in Indonesia that comprises a group of adolescents working as volunteers and healthcare workers under the guidance and responsibility of the Public Health Centre and City Health Office. The study aims to provide a formative evaluation program of Posmaja using the Reach, Effectiveness, Adoption, Implementation, and Maintenance (RE-AIM) framework. This research used a qualitative approach and took place in South Tangerang City, Indonesia. The data were collected from July until December 2018. Nineteen people participated in the study. The study used in-depth interviews and focus group discussions that adopted the RE-AIM framework for data collection. Content analysis was used to analyze the collected data. The majority of Posmaja’s participants were male adolescents aged around 15 years old. Common themes generated were “adolescent empowerment,” “increasing health knowledge,” and “monitoring health and nutrition” as a result of doing the pilot program. Volunteers and healthcare workers recognized the benefits of Posmaja and thus encouraged the adoption of the program. This awareness, followed by the city Health Office’s willingness to fund and adopt the program, was viewed as highly necessary for the program’s continuation.
