Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mediating role of affective commitment on the effect of perceived organizational support and procedural justice on job performance. Respondents in this study are Civil Servants at the BPS Statistics of the Province and the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The sample used was 188 selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method with Analysis Moment of Structural (AMOS) 24.0 software. This study found that perceived organizational support and procedural justice has no significant direct effect on job performance. This research also shows that perceived organizational support and procedural justice have a significant effect on affective commitment, and there is a significant effect between affective commitment on job performance. The finding of this research show that affective commitment was able to mediate perceived organizational support and procedural justice on job performance. Recommendation for leaders, employees, and future research are discussed.

Abstract

Objectives - In recent years studies on organizational engagement have increasingly been carried out to find out further, and more broadly, both antecedent variables and consequent variables, specifically involving individuals as research objects, and there are only a few studies involving groups as research objects. Therefore, this study aims to examine the antecedent model and the consequences of group attachment based on Social Exchange Theory. Design/Methodology/Approach - The population of this research is 113 social sciences study programs in private universities and college, and there are 105 study programs qualify as data. While the object of group research consists of heads and secretaries of the department. The research model uses a census model. Antecedents include perceptions of organizational support, distributive justice, and the consequences of group engagement, namely group performance. Findings - The results show that the perception of organizational support directly predicted group engagement and group performance, the distributive justice predicted group engagement but not group performance, and the group engagement predicted group performance. Indirectly, it was found that group attachment was significant as a mediator of the effect of perceived organizational support on group performance, and the effect of distributive justice on group performance. Originality - There are still a few studies on group engagement as a mediator and predictor of antecedents and their consequences using group data objects. Therefore, this study offers not only using group data but also providing a wider range of antecedent variables and their consequences based on social exchange theory.

Abstract

Nurse caring behavior is the core of nursing where nurses must be respectful and responsive to patient preferences, values and needs. Caring behavior is influenced by several factors, including workload, lack of time, and burnout. A nurse with a high tendency to burnout will experience loss of motivation, burnout and affect work professionalism, especially on the caring behavior of nurses to patients. This study aims to analyze the effect of work engagement on nurses' caring behavior with burnout as an intervening variable. This research used quantitative with cross sectional approach. The number of samples in this study amounted to 74 nurses. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. The analysis used is path analysis. The result of statistical test of work engagement variable with burnout on nurses has a significant effect in a negative direction. In addition, work engagement with nurses' caring behavior has a significant effect in a positive direction. Meanwhile, burnout with nurse caring behavior has a significant effect in a negative direction. The sobel test results show the effect of work engagement on nurses' caring behavior with burnout as an intervening variable.

Abstract

This study aimed to highlight the view of educators on the teachers’ willingness to change in adapting to online learning due to the Coronavirus disease 19 (COVID -19) pandemic. The sudden shifting required readiness to facilitate both synchronous and asynchronous learning interactions. The results of previous studies on the dissatisfaction with the online learning quality during the pandemic triggered this study. Teachers preferred to use task-based learning and resisted incorporating technology in the learning process. The limited literature provided a study gap investigated in the present study. Therefore, the real-time virtual focus group discussions were carried out to obtain viewpoints about teachers’ willingness to change in which 31 participants, including teachers, principals, and supervisors, shared their viewpoints. Moreover, dynamic discussions were conducted through brainstorming using Mentimeter, collecting viewpoints via zoom poll, and discussion engagements in the primary and breakout rooms. Content analysis revealed three categories: willingness to learn, try, and be open. The result provided novelty essential as a new perspective and proposed possible solutions to address the problems shifting from regular to online learning in Indonesia. Finally, this study recommends future investigation of teachers’ willingness to change as a new concept of professional development in establishing quality learning.

Abstract

Environmentally friendly trends are currently gaining global attention, including environmentally friendly businesses that play an important role in business sustainability. MSMEs are one of them, and they play a role in reducing negative environmental consequences on business operations. However, the goal of this study is to provide a broader viewpoint in understanding the owner- desire manager's to establish an environmentally friendly business based on the theory of planned behavior, specifically about the intention of the MSME owner- manager to develop an ecologically friendly business in their business. This research is a quantitative study with the research subject is the owner-manager of SMEs in Sleman Regency as many as 136 respondents with characteristics; owner-manager of MSMEs registered with the Cooperatives and SMEs Office of Sleman Regency, MSMEs are one of the MSME business sectors that are still actively operating today and are recommended by the Sleman Regency Cooperatives and SMEs Office. The primary data source is a questionnaire, which consists of 34 statement items, and is measured using a 5-point Likert scale. The data analysis technique uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of the Smart-PLS application. Theoretically, the analysis results show that attitude has a positive effect on environmentally friendly business intentions with a significance value of P-Value 0.001 and t-statistical 3.308; subjective norm has a positive effect on environmentally friendly business intentions with a significance value of P-Value 0.002 and t-statistical 3.162; and perceived behavioral control on environmentally friendly business intentions, the significance value of P- Value is 0.007 and t-statistic is 2.718. Empirically, this study reveals the owner-manager's intention to develop an environmentally friendly business, such as the environmentally friendly attitude of the MSME owner- manager, the support from the people closest to him to develop an environmentally friendly business in MSMEs, as well as perceived behavioral control which includes the knowledge and mastery possessed. MSME owner- managers for their abilities and resources needed to achieve environmentally friendly business intentions.

Abstract

Job involvement is crucial to worker performance and productivity. This paper investigates the effects of extraversion and agreeableness on job involvement. We also suggest a link between collectivism and job involvement. The data were submitted by 190 registered nurses who worked at two public hospitals for additional research by employing PLS-SEM analysis. The findings show that extraversion, agreeableness, collectivism, and employee job involvement are all positively correlated. We consider the study's practical implications and conclude that personality traits can affect job involvement.

Abstract

Background: RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul is a privately-owned public hospital that has been burgeoning. Leadership held at PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital in Bantul today is a transformational leadership. While, for motivating employee, the management of the hospital strives to provide adequate and fair compensation based on employee status, class rank and tenure. Hence, the compensation system will encourage every employee to give excellent service for each patient. Methodology: The research is a quantitative analysis using cross-sectional survey method. Data is obtained by disseminating questionnaire to the population, the whole permanent employee up to 104 respondents. Result: The statistical result indicates that management’s policy transformational leadership and distributive justice and procedural compensation rate affect to the satisfaction of work of the nurses at RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul. Summary: Regarding to the result of the research, management’s policy to appreciate its employee through a good and fair compensation can significantly improve the satisfaction of work of the nurses at RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul. Moreover, the management should maintain a workable situation and pay a lot of attention to the nurses.

Abstract

Nurse’s working satisfaction can push nurse’s productivity and performance. Working satisfaction can affect performance and increasing working motivation. Working satisfaction namely can be accomplished by compensation fairness. Dissatisfaction on compensation will impact on decreasing work achievement. This research aim is to know effect of compensation fairness on nurse’s working satisfaction at Region General Hospital of Sultan Imanuddin Pangkalan Bun. This research is quantitative research using cross sectional approach. Research population is nurse that work at Region General Hospital of Sultan Imanuddin Pangkalan Bun. Sampling technique in this research is population samplings with sample number are 152 people. Data collection uses questionnaire. Data analysis uses double regression analysis. Distributive fairness significantly has positive effect on nurse’s satisfaction. Procedural satisfaction do not significantly affect on nurse’s working satisfaction. Interpersonal fairness significantly has positive effect on nurse’s working satisfaction. Compensation fairness significantly affect on nurse’s satisfaction at Region General Hospital of Sultan Imanuddin Pangkalan Bun.

Abstract

The PKU Muhammadiyah HospitalOf Yogyakarta is referred Islamic hospital type B in Special Governmental State Yogyakarta and Central Java. In spite of being referred hospital, in giving service and nursing care has not been optimal. Head of nursing section has significant role in organizing associate nurse in effort of better service. A successful head section must be a good identifier and could appreciating the spirit of curiosity. Four situational leadership style such as, instructing, consulting, participating and delegating, will be analyze to see the tendency of leadership style that be used by the head of nursing section of PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Yogyakarta.This research is the quantitative-descriptive research. Measurement tools of this research using questioners that being distribute to 94 respondent. The subject of this research is vocational nurse on inpatient room of the PKU Muhammdiyah Hospital of Yogyakarta.Result of this research in the way of leadership assessed by associate nurse on head nursing section in patient room shows that ibnu shina room used consulting style 72,7%, marwah 56,3% consulting, roudhoh 63,3% consulting, arafah 53,8% participating, shofa-musdalifah 71,4% consulting, zam-zam 81,8% participating, and multazam 72,2% consulting.The style of situational leadership dominantly applied by the head nurse section of PKU based on the assessment of associate nurse is consulting leadership. The style of situational leadership not applied by the head nurse section is instructing.

Abstract

Managers Hospital admit that Strategy planning is important forces management, but this Strategy planning still become problem because some obstacles that faced to manage it well and exact. Basic obstacle relate to human resource obstacle that very determine quality and axact strategy planning.There are some obstacles that make strategy planning doesn’t yet optimal as important forces management that very needed on face change environment that change quickly. Key factor success strategy planning is formation systematic strategy, implementation strategy that effective, and restrain even follow up from Implementation (Brenes, et al.2008). According to view of resource, the resource based view of the firm(RBV), Resource that had Hospital can become source that enable to approximating and implementation that can increase efficiency and effectiveness of Hospital (Barney, 1991). Resource and capability determine factor Hospital strategy and profitability determiner factor Hospital (Grant 1997;Collis&Montgomery, 1998). Kind of Research that used in this Research is Qualitative, Populations are head room Nurse, Midwife and all Components that support data Research.Every staff in Hospital hope in order to business strategy planning Hospital can informed spread all to all staffs Hospital through special seminar because Hospital that qualified become hope and wish all of Hospital Components. Strategy business planning Components Hospital generally has prepared well but doesn’t socialised yet to employee in Muhammadiyah Hospital of Petanahan.
