Abstract

The aim from this study is to improve English skills mastery of students by applying the SOLE (Self Organized Learning Environment) learning model. The study conducted qualitative research by case study type. The research result showing the improvement of students self-confidence in explaining their idea towards other students, after getting the stimulus of challenging question from the teacher.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Purpose ­ The aim of community service are: Providing provisions and insight to teachers and students on the importance of healthy food types for students, Providing insight into the dangers of indiscriminate snacking and unhealthy food, Providing insight into safe and healthy snack behavior, Increasing awareness of school residents to jointly choose healthy snacks and provide access and facilities for healthy snacks. Methods - This community service activity is carried out in the form of counseling / training containing material both online and offline to increase understanding of the importance of choosing healthy and nutritious snacks for school children. Training/counseling is a method or effort made by certain parties to increase the understanding of teachers or students by providing certain material in a planned and programmed manner. The stages of this training/counselling adapt the conceptual model. Health counseling is an activity to provide health education that has a method by disseminating messages and instilling confidence. So that people are not only aware, know, and understand but are also able to do or follow recommendations related to the health information Result and discussions - This service activity was responded well by both teachers and students because it proved to have a significant impact. Through counseling activities related to safe snacks for children, teachers and students gain additional knowledge and information related to healthy and nutritious snacks. In addition, they can find out the dangers of careless snacking. Both teachers and students felt happy and satisfied with this activity. Increasing awareness in choosing healthy snacks and taking preventive efforts and real steps to provide healthy snacks for students at school.Conclusion - Community service activities went well, smoothly and received a good response as seen from the participation of all teachers, students and partners. Teachers and students were very enthusiastic during the service and felt happy because they had increased their knowledge about safe types of snacks. This service also succeeded in opening the insights of teachers and students to be careful with the snacks available and try to bring provisions on certain days or optimize the role of the school canteen.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the acceptance of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) by students at Makassar State University using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) framework. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with data collection methods through online questionnaires. The research instrument was developed to measure eight dimensions of UTAUT: performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, computer self-efficacy, attitude towards technology, behavioral intention, and actual use. The results showed that students have a fairly positive perception of the use of MOOCs as a digital learning medium. They considered MOOCs useful in increasing learning productivity, supporting online group discussions, and facilitating access to learning materials. However, some obstacles are still felt, especially limited technical knowledge, usage experience, and social support from the surrounding environment. These findings indicate the importance of strengthening digital literacy, technical training, and sustainable supporting policies to optimize the utilization of MOOCs in the learning process. This research is expected to contribute to the development of digital learning strategies in higher education, especially in integrating technology effectively into the teaching and learning process in the digital era.

Abstract

This study explores university students’ perceptions of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing critical thinking skills within higher education. Using a quantitative cross-sectional design, data were collected from 90 Indonesian students who had used AI tools such as ChatGPT or Grammarly in academic contexts. The study examined five independent variables: perceived credibility of AI, AI quality, cognitive absorption, emotional well-being, and user satisfaction, and their relationship to students’ overall perception of AI benefits. Descriptive statistics revealed that students’ perceptions were generally moderate, with emotional well-being and perceived credibility emerging as significant predictors of positive perceptions. Multiple linear regression showed that emotional well-being had the strongest influence, followed by credibility. These findings emphasize the importance of affective experiences and trust in shaping acceptance and effective use of AI in learning. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of how AI integration can support 21st-century skills development, and suggests the need for emotionally engaging and trustworthy AI systems in educational environments

Abstract

The importance of innovation in learning methods cannot be ignored, especially in the digital era where access to information is very easy. Collaborative learning methods have been shown to increase student engagement and understanding. This study evaluates the implementation of collaborative learning methods in three private universities in Magetan, namely Universitas Doktor Nugroho and STAI Ma'arif Magetan, using a quantitative survey method. The study shows that collaborative learning methods are effective in increasing student understanding and engagement. Technology plays an important role in supporting collaborative learning with very high usage, although infrastructure support still needs to be improved. The role of lecturers is very significant in facilitating collaborative learning, and student satisfaction with this method is high. However, there are still moderate obstacles in implementing this method. In addition, collaborative learning methods show a positive impact on student academic achievement. To improve the effectiveness of collaborative learning, it is necessary to improve infrastructure support and training for lecturers and the implementation of innovative teaching strategies. This study provides recommendations for further development in the implementation of collaborative learning methods in universities, especially in the context of technology use and improving the overall quality of education.

Abstract

Remaja Generasi Z seringkali menghadapi tekanan emosional dari berbagai sumber seperti stres akademik, interaksi sosial, dan harapan masyarakat, yang berpotensi menyebabkan masalah kesehatan mental seperti kecemasan dan depresi. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberikan kontribusi analisis terbaru tentang manajemen karakter dan regulasi emosional yang disesuaikan dengan Generasi Z, dengan fokus pada nilai-nilai moral dan etika yang tinggi. Strategi seperti pendidikan emosional, penggunaan teknologi yang sehat, akses ke layanan kesehatan mental, dan lingkungan yang mendukung sangat penting untuk membantu. Keterlibatan orang tua, pelatihan guru, dan partisipasi dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler juga diperlukan. Upaya kolaboratif dari para pemangku kepentingan penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung pertumbuhan positif Generasi Z. Manajemen pendidikan karakter menjadi kunci dalam memastikan kesejahteraan mental dan emosional. Dengan memahami tantangan yang dihadapi dan menerapkan strategi yang sesuai, kita dapat membantu Generasi Z mengembangkan keterampilan yang diperlukan untuk mengatasi tekanan dan menjadi individu yang sehat dan kompetitif di era digital.
