Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk, pola, dan makna abreviasi bahasa Indonesia padabidang ekspor impor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Diawali denganpengumpulan data melalui kuisioner dan wawancara yang dilakukan terhadap karyawan PT ONE. Lalu,peneliti melakukan analisis dan interpretasi data. Data yang didapat dari hasil kuisioner danwawancara, terdiri dari 62 abreviasi, baik dalam bahasa Indonesia, maupun bahasa asing. Bahasaasing terdiri dari 46 abreviasi dalam bahasa Inggris dan satu abreviasi dalambahasa Belanda. Terdapatlima belas abreviasi dalam bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini difokuskan membahas abreviasi dalambahasa Indonesia. Teori kajian morfosemantik adalah teori yang sesuai dalam menelaah lebih lanjutabreviasi bahasa Indonesia dalam bidang ekspor impor ini. Morfosemantik akan ditelaah dari bentuk,pola, dan makna abreviasi dalam bidang ini. Hasil akhir penelitian ini memberikan penjelasan bahwaterdapat tiga bentuk abreviasi, yakni akronim, kontraksi,dan singkatan. Akronim terdapat pada kata API. Kontraksi pada kata Notul. Sedangkan, singkatan terdapat pada kata BC 11, EMKL, LHP, NIK, PEB,PIB, PPJK, SPJH, SPJK, SPJM, SPPB, SRP, dan UTPK. Selain itu, pola pembentukan dari abreviasiada yang memiliki kesamaan, yaitu pada akronimdan singkatan. Kesamaan tersebut terletak padapenggunaan huruf awal di setiap kata. Sedangkan dari segi makna, hanya singkatan API yang memilikimakna leksikal dan gramatikal. Untuk kontraksidan singkatan, hanya memiliki makna gramatikal, tetapi tidak memiliki makna leksikal.

Abstract

Indonesian language is an important communication tool in the context of international trade. In the field of international trade, there are various terms and vocabulary used to describe cross-border trade concepts. However, it is important to understand that the meanings of words in Indonesian language can develop and vary depending on the context in which they are used. The study of meaning in Indonesian language can take the form of meaning relations. Meaning relations emphasize the relationship and interconnection of meanings in words. The aim of this research is for readers to understand the relationship between the meaning of terms in the field of international trade and the lexical meanings contained in KBBI. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method by collecting vocabulary through the International Trade Dictionary and interpreting it by comparing the meanings contained in KBBI. There are five words, namely basis, bid, blocking, boa, and broker. The results show that there are two types of meaning relations, namely polysemy and synonymy. There are three polysemy meaning relations, namely in the words base, blocking, and boa. Meanwhile, the synonymous meaning relationship occurs in two words, namely bid and broker

Abstract

This research analyzed the Indonesia-English translation in journalistic text, which was published in BBC Online Newspaper. This research analyzed euphemism and dysphemism in journalistic text from BBC Online Newspaper covering the Palestine-Israel war from February to March 2024. This research aims to find out the use of euphemism and dysphemism in BBC Online Newspaper, the translation technique, and the translation quality. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods, purposive sampling techniques, FGD and content analysis, and cultural theme analysis. This study found that between euphemism and dysphemism, euphemism is the dominant diction in a total of 47 data with indirection as the most used with 12 data with the rest in sequence is understatement with 10 data, litotes with 5 data, abstraction with 7 data, semantic shift and metaphorical transfer both with 4 data and widening with 3 data while the dysphemism is 24 data in total. The translation quality is 2.61 from the range of score of 1 to 3, which is considered an accurate translation
