Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tahapan penyusunan soal tes unsur bunyi (ashwat), kosakata (mufradat) dan struktur kalimat bahasa Arab (tarakib). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Desain and Development (D&D). Dalam Penyusunan butir soal unsur bahasa Arab ini dilakukan prosedur analize, desain dan development saja. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa butir soal unsur bahasa Arab disusun berdasarkan 7 tahapan. Yaitu; 1) memilih tema “al-Hiwayah” dan kompetensi dasar yang akan dicapai, 2) memilih materi tes yaitu unsur bunyi (ashwat), kosakata (mufradat) dan struktur kalimat bahasa Arab (tarakib), 3) memilih jenis tes tulis dalam bentuk pilihan ganda, 4) menentukan jumlah soal sebanyak 20 butir soal mudah, 20 butir soal sedang, dan 10 butir soal sukar, 5) menentukan skor maksimal adalah 100 per tipe soal, 6) menyusun kisi-kisi soal unsur bunyi (ashwat), kosakata (mufradat) dan struktur kalimat bahasa Arab (tarakib), serta 7) penyusunan butir soal berdasarkan kisi-kisi tersebut.

Abstract

Marriage is a religious ritual in Islam that was also followed by the Prophet Muhammad. Almost all ethnicities have different customs. One of the Javanese customs in conducting a wedding is by calculating the weton or day of birth. The weton determines a prediction about the future fate of the family. The purpose of this research is to find out how the connection between the weton tradition that takes place before the wedding with the perspective of one of the books of fiqh rules, namely the book of al-Faraid al-Bahiyyah. This research method is a library research genre using a content analysis approach. The findings of this study include: a) In the implementation of the weton tradition, the Javanese community is divided into two groups, firstly kejawen, a group that makes weton as a benchmark for marriage and believes in it. The second is potehan, a group that is afraid of polytheism. They do not use weton completely. b) Weton according to the book al-Faraid al-Bahiyyah has fulfilled the requirements of custom and can be used as a basis for law, the conditions are first, custom can be used as a basis for law if it is muththarid (applies evenly) in an area. Secondly, if there is a conflict between `urf jali and shara' then the former takes precedence, if it is not related to the law of shara'. Third, `Urf khash if it is not limited to a particular area, then it can be used as a legal basis.Fourth, the standard of `urf that can be used as a landmark

Abstract

Evaluasi merupakan hal yang penting dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah pembelajaran yang dilakukan telah memenuhi tujuan pendidikan yang telah dirumuskan. Begitu pula dengan penyusunan tes yang digunakan untuk evaluasi. Dengan demikian tujuan penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut; 1) untuk mengetahui langkah-langkah penyusunan tes tarkib di madrasah Al Falah Al Islami Bancelok Sampang; 2) untuk mengetahui contoh-contoh soal tarkib di madrasah Al Falah Al Islami Bancelok Sampang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dengan menggunakan Triangulasi pada teknik pengumpulan datanya dengan Observatif Partisifatif, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Adapun sampel dari penelitian ini adalah pembuatan soal kelas XI di MA AL-Falah AL Islami Bancelok Sampang. Adapun hasil penelitian dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut; 1) Langkah langkah penyusunan soal-soal tarkib kelas XI yang dilakukan sesuai dengan buku pedoman dan sesuai tujuan pembelajaran; 2) Contoh soal-soal tarkib di Ma Al falah Al Islami kelas XI Bancelok Sampang, yang terdiri dari soal pilihan ganda, soal essay dan ciri-ciri soal tarkib.

Abstract

Islamic education is the development of the mind, structuring behavior, emotional arrangements, and human relations in the world that allows his life in accordance with Islamic ideology. The aim is to achieve the qualities mentioned by the Qur'an and Hadith. This research is a research library research, then the data collection technique used in this research is literary data collection, namely by collecting coherent library materials with a research focus. The results of the study, namely that Hamka showed a harmonious relevance between religious and public sciences. The existence of religion is not only legitimizing the existing social system, but also needs to pay attention and control human behavior well.

Abstract

Aim: This study investigates the implementation of the direct method through the use of synonyms in teaching Arabic vocabulary. Grounded in the theoretical framework of behaviorism, this research responds to ongoing challenges in delivering practical and effective Arabic vocabulary instruction to non-native learners. The primary objective was to examine how direct instruction and reinforcement strategies impact students’ comprehension and usage of Arabic vocabulary.Methodology: A qualitative descriptive methodology was employed, with data collected through semi structured interviews, classroom observations, and documentation. The participants consisted of Arabic language instructors and first-semester students enrolled in the university’s Arabic language program.Findings: The findings indicate that the direct method, when integrated with synonym-based vocabulary presentation, facilitates meaningful learning, especially when supported by creative instructional media, an immersive linguistic environment, and consistent reinforcement techniques. The active use of Arabic beyond the classroom setting, coupled with immediate corrective feedback from instructors, played a critical role in enhancing learners’ vocabulary retention and usage.Implications/Novel Contribution: This research contributed to language and instruction domains of research by providing policy directions. The involvement of native Arabic speakers further enriched students’ lexical acquisition, providing authentic exposure and modeling. These results underscore the pedagogical value of combining the direct method with contextual reinforcement in Arabic language instruction.

Abstract

Aim: Speaking skills are one of the main skills that must be mastered by students and are one of the ultimate goals of learning a foreign language. On that basis, various strategies based on learning theories have been developed to facilitate the process of language acquisition and learning Arabic. One of these theories is the constructivism theory. Constructivism theory understands learning as a process of forming (constructing) knowledge by the learner themselves. This study aims to explore the implementation of constructivism theory in teaching speaking skills in the Arabic Language Education Department, State Islamic University of Salatiga, Indonesia.Methodology: This study was a qualitative study with a case study. Data were collected through observation, in depth interviews, and documentation. The analysis technique used was data triangulation. In the data analysis process, the researcher used the following steps: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.Findings: Study brings key policy insights for learning and teaching higher authorities and governing bodies. The implementation of collaborative learning based on constructivism theory in teaching speaking skills is carried out with several strategies, namely: role play and drama, three-step interview, debate, and language games.

Abstract

One key indicator of successful learning is the achievement of students' learning outcomes. If students show improvement in their learning results, it indicates that the teaching and learning process has been effective. Therefore, to ensure a high-quality learning experience, teachers must possess the ability to implement appropriate teaching methods that align with the needs and characteristics of students in the classroom. This study aims to analyze the correlation between the application of reciprocal teaching learning and the cognitive learning outcomes of Mts dahlia mantofani students. The research method used is quantitative, researchers will calculate the relationship between variables using a correlational type of research. The data collection method is through interview, questionnaire, and test techniques. The population of this study were all seventh grade students at Mts dahlia mantofani totaling 48 students with a sample size of 24 students with the sampling technique used, namely cluster random sampling. The results showed that the correlation coefficient value between the variable application of reciprocal teaching method and cognitive learning outcomes amounted to 0.778**. Significance in the spearman correlation, shows a significance of 0.000 where the value is less than significance <0.05. Based on the explanation of the data analysis above, that the application of reciprocal teaching learning has a correlation relationship that is in the same direction / in line with student learning outcomes. And it can be concluded that the correlation between the variable learning application of reciprocal teaching method and students' cognitive learning outcomes is that it has a strong and significant correlation level relationship strength. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the extent to which the Olympiad questions correspond to the five key components of the ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) 5C standards: Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities. A qualitative library research method was employed, focusing on the collection and analysis of Olympiad test items alongside ACTFL guideline documents. The analysis explored how each question reflects communicative competence, cultural relevance, cross-disciplinary connections, opportunities for language and cultural comparison, and its potential to foster engagement with the broader global community. The findings reveal that the Olympiad questions adequately addressed the Communication and Culture components by promoting interpretive and cultural understanding tasks. However, indicators of interpersonal and presentational communication were less emphasized, indicating a gap in fostering interactive language use. The questions effectively integrated Connections by linking Arabic language learning to interdisciplinary themes such as economics, health, and history, thereby enhancing students’ critical thinking and contextual understanding. Additionally, elements of Comparisons and Communities were implicitly present but lacked explicit engagement with global multicultural perspectives. Overall, the study concludes that the 2024 Alef Education Olympiad provides a valuable model for Arabic language assessment aligned with contemporary global standards, though further refinement is needed to strengthen interpersonal communication and global community integration. It recommends that Arabic language curricula incorporate more authentic, culturally diverse, and communicative tasks to better prepare students for participation in a multilingual and interconnected world. ملخص تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تقييم مدى توافق أسئلة الأولمبياد مع المكونات الرئيسية الخمسة لمعايير ACTFL (المجلس الأمريكي لتعليم اللغات الأجنبية) 5C: التواصل، والثقافات، والروابط، والمقارنات، والمجتمعات. استُخدمت منهجية بحث مكتبي نوعي، مع التركيز على جمع وتحليل عناصر اختبار الأولمبياد إلى جانب وثائق إرشادات ACTFL. استكشف التحليل كيف يعكس كل سؤال الكفاءة التواصلية، والأهمية الثقافية، والروابط بين التخصصات، وفرص المقارنة اللغوية والثقافية، وإمكانية تعزيز التفاعل مع المجتمع العالمي الأوسع. تكشف النتائج أن أسئلة الأولمبياد تناولت بشكل كافٍ مكوني التواصل والثقافة من خلال تعزيز مهام الفهم التفسيري والثقافي. ومع ذلك، لم يتم التركيز بشكل كافٍ على مؤشرات التواصل بين الأشخاص والعرض التقديمي، مما يشير إلى وجود فجوة في تعزيز الاستخدام التفاعلي للغة. دمجت الأسئلة الروابط بفعالية من خلال ربط تعلم اللغة العربية بمواضيع متعددة التخصصات مثل الاقتصاد والصحة والتاريخ، مما عزز التفكير النقدي لدى الطلاب وفهمهم السياقي. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، كانت عناصر المقارنات والمجتمعات حاضرة ضمنيًا، لكنها افتقرت إلى التفاعل الصريح مع وجهات النظر العالمية متعددة الثقافات. إجمالًا، خلصت الدراسة إلى أن أولمبياد ألف التعليمي لعام ٢٠٢٤ يُقدم نموذجًا قيّمًا لتقييم اللغة العربية يتماشى مع المعايير العالمية المعاصرة، مع ضرورة إجراء المزيد من التحسينات لتعزيز التواصل بين الأفراد والتكامل المجتمعي العالمي. وتوصي الدراسة بأن تتضمن مناهج اللغة العربية مهامًا أكثر أصالة وتنوعًا ثقافيًا وتواصلًا لإعداد الطلاب بشكل أفضل للمشاركة في عالم متعدد اللغات ومترابط.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of the final semester evaluation items for the Arabic language subject of fifth-grade students at Thoriqul Huda Islamic Elementary School (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah) in Wagir. The study employed a quantitative descriptive method with documentation techniques as the data collection tool, which included the test items, answer keys, and student responses. The data were analyzed using "Anates" software to measure reliability, difficulty level, discrimination power, and distractor quality. The results showed that the test instrument had a high reliability level with a coefficient of 0.78, and most of the questions were at a moderate difficulty level. There were 22 items with good to excellent discrimination power, 14 items with poor discrimination, and 2 items with negative discrimination power. Regarding distractor quality, the analysis indicated that some answer choices still need improvement. Based on the analysis, 19 items can be reused in future tests, while 21 items require revision and further development. The study recommends that the item development team pay more attention to question quality standards to ensure effective measurement of students' learning achievements.
