Abstract

Kualitas layanan program pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD) menunjang keberhasilan peserta didik.  Kurangnya pemahaman pendidik mengenai pengelolaan manajemen PAUD terutama manajemen kurikulum menjadi hambatan dalam peningkatan kualitas layanan PAUD. Manajemen kurikulum sangatlah penting karena manajemen ini menentukan bahan ajar yang disesuaikan dengan aspek perkembangan anak dalam rangka mencapai tumbuh kembang yang optimal dengan pembelajaran yang efektif dan efisien. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan sosialisasi terkait pelaksanaan dan penataan manajemen kurikulum PAUD agar lebih terarah dan berkembang lebih optimal di lembaga PAUD. Sampel pengabdian adalah TK Aulia Surakarta. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan dan pendampingan berjalan dengan baik meskipun terkendala oleh pandemi, dan peningkatan pemahaman dan pelaksanaan manajemen kurikulum PAUD lebih terarah dan berkembang optimal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji tingkat efektivitas pelatihan screen time terhadap interaksi orang tua dan anak usia 0-5 tahun. Metode penelitian yang digunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen dan desain penelitian one group before-after. Pelatihan screen time diberikan kepada orang tua anak sebanyak enam sesi dengan durasi 60 menit pada setiap pertemuan. Pengukuran tingkat interaksi anak dan orang tua menggunakan kuesioner yang diberikan sebanyak dua kali kepada orang tua sebelum dan sesudah diadakan pelatihan. Teknik validitas instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan validitas isi, sedangkan reliabilitas pada instrumen ini menggunakan Alpha Cronbach (α=0,842). Partisipan yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini anak usia 0-5 tahun beserta orang tuanya (N=21) yang bertempat tinggal di Kampung Suronalan RW 08 Pajang, Laweyan, Surakarta. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji sample paired t-test dan uji N Gain untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh dan tingkat efektivitas pelatihan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan screen time kurang efektif untuk meningkatkan interaksi anak dan orang tua. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kondisi pandemi sehingga sebagian besar pelaksanaan pelatihan secara online dan kondisi orang tua. Kedua faktor tersebut mempengaruhi tingkat pemahaman dan konsistensi orang tua dalam melaksanakan materi yang telah diperoleh dari program pelatihan screen time terhadap pengasuhan anak setiap hari.

Abstract

The Climate Village Program (ProKlim) is a national scale program in order to encourage the community and all parties to take concrete actions to improve resistance to the negative impacts of climate change. In the village of Nusukan in particular RW 13 will be promoted by the Climate Village Program (ProKlim). To support the program, the procurement of a mini garden is carried out as an effort to move society and all parties in the face of climate change. The impact of this activity is to increase public knowledge and understanding of change climate and its impacts, as a real adaptation effort so that it can improve the degree of public health in the face of climate change, environment of RW 13 Nusukan, and can reduce GHG (Greenhouse Gas) emissions.

Abstract

Creativity is a crucial skill for early childhood education (ECE) teachers in fostering innovative and adaptive learning environments. The Merdeka Curriculum (Independent Curriculum) in Indonesia provides teachers with the flexibility to design and implement innovative teaching strategies tailored to students’ needs. This study examines the impact of the Merdeka Curriculum on ECE teachers’ creativity using a quantitative experimental method with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. A total of 100 ECE teachers in Surakarta participated in this study. Creativity was assessed before and after three months of curriculum implementation. The results showed a significant increase in teachers’ creativity scores from 49.80 (pretest) to 89.55 (posttest). A paired-samples t-test confirmed a statistically significant difference (p < 0.001), and the N-Gain score analysis indicated a high level of effectiveness (0.78). These findings suggest that the Merdeka Curriculum fosters teacher creativity by allowing greater autonomy in instructional design and innovative pedagogical practices. However, challenges such as limited professional training and inadequate resources hinder optimal curriculum implementation. This study contributes to the existing literature on teacher creativity by demonstrating the effectiveness of curriculum flexibility in enhancing instructional innovation. Future research should explore the long-term impacts across different regions and examine policy interventions that support sustainable teacher development in ECE settings.

Abstract

Luaran kegiatan pengabdian ini ialah adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan pelaksanaan manajemen kurikulum PAUD lebih terarah dan berkembang optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the implementation of the independent curriculum of two institutions in Sukoharjo District, namely TK Teladan and RA STIBA AZKIYAA. The study used a descriptive research approach to analyze the implementation of the independent curriculum at Teladan Kindergarten. Data was collected through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. This research was conducted for 3 months and used the principal and accompanying teacher of class B2 of Teladan Kindergarten and RA STIBA AZKIYA as research informants. The differences researchers found in implementing the independent curriculum in TK Teladan show the full utilization of the independent curriculum. In contrast, RA Stiba Azkiya is still in the process of fully implementing the curriculum. The findings suggest that Teladan Kindergarten's approach, which supports active learning, is highly effective in allowing children to explore and develop discipline and responsibility. However, RA Stiba Azkiya needs further time and support to implement the independent curriculum fully. Evaluations differ, with TK Teladan evaluating after each lesson and RA Stiba Azkiya reporting every 3 to 6 months. Both institutions recommended providing more intensive training and support to teachers to improve the implementation of the self-directed curriculum.

Abstract

Digital Pedagogy in Early Childhood Education: Exploring Teacher and Parent knowledge, expectations, and problems. Objectives: This study identifies teachers’ and parents’ knowledge, expectations, and problems related to the implementation of digital pedagogy in ECE. Methods: A mixed-methods approach was used to present quantitative and qualitative data in an explanatory design. The main respondents in this study were teachers. Data related to parents were obtained from teachers’ answers, which were also filled in the questionnaire. There were 196 respondents of ECE teachers from 5 provinces in Indonesia. Quantitative data analysis with SPSS version 25 software was used to examine perceptions, abilities, and correlations between both. Qualitative data using thematic analysis to identify expectations and problems related to digital pedagogy implementation. Findings: Teachers have positive perceptions but low digital pedagogy implementation capabilities. The quantitative data findings regarding low teacher capabilities (average score <3.0) are confirmed by the qualitative data findings regarding challenges to the implementation of digital pedagogy in the teacher training needs and infrastructure limitations as the most significant potential factors. Several expectations were found related to improving teacher competency and technical understanding of the use of digital devices. Other challenges to implementing digital pedagogy include a lack of parental support and several issues related to children’s physical, social, and psychological health. Conclusion: Teachers’ knowledge of digital pedagogy confirms paradoxical interactions. Positive perceptions are not yet in line with teachers’ abilities in implementing digital pedagogy. Play-based Digital Pedagogy (PBDP) and Domestication theory have excellent potential to be considered in this context. This theory is able to provide clear guidelines to improve teachers’ abilities in implementing digital pedagogy ideally. Furthermore, the phases recommended by domestication theory are expected to be able to meet expectations and resolve obstacles to the implementation of digital pedagogy. Keywords: pedagogy, digital, early childhood, teacher competency, domestication theory.

Abstract

Abstrak  Pendidikan saat ini berada di era revolusi industri 4.0. Maka dari itu, pendidikan dituntut untuk selalu berinovasi mengikuti perkembangan zaman. Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) merupakan pondasi pendidikan harus bersiap dan berinovasi untuk menghadapi perkembangan zaman. Salah satu media pembelajaran digital yang efektif diterapkan di PAUD adalah whiteboard animation. Guru dapat menyampaikan materi pembelajaran kepada anak usia dini secara jelas sesuai dengan tema dan materi yang sedang berjalan melalui whiteboard animation. Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan ketrampilan guru PAUD dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran digital untuk menghadapi era revolusi industri 4.0. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di TK LKMD Marsudisiwi dan TK Siwi Peni, Gugus 2 Bougenville, Kecamatan Laweyan, Surakarta. Materi yang disampaikan dalam pengabdian ini, terdiri dari: 1) pemberian materi media pembelajaran digital berbasis whiteboard animation, 2) workshop media pembelajaran digital berbasis whiteboard animation, 3) simulasi kelompok kecil pendampingan pembuatan media pembelajaran digital berbasis whiteboard animation, 4) implementasi whiteboard animation dalam pembelajaran daring sesuai tema berjalan, dan 5) evaluasi dan rencana tindak lanjut. Kegiatan ini berlangsung dengan memadukan berbagai metode, yaitu metode ceramah, tanya jawab, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dalam jaringan (daring)/ online melalui zoom meeting dan whatsapp group. Hasil kegiatan ini, semua peserta dapat membuat media pembelajaran digital whiteboard animation sesuai dengan tema dan tujuan pembelajaran yang diharapkan. Kata kunci: media pembelajaran digital; whiteboard animation; guru PAUD

Abstract

Used cooking oil is a household waste that may pollute the environment and harm human health if disposed of or reused improperly. This community service program aimed to provide a waste management solution while enhancing the community’s economic skills through training on producing aromatherapy candles from used cooking oil. The implementation method included awareness sessions on the hazards of used cooking oil, technical training using a learning by doing approach, and assistance in production and marketing. A total of 30 participants from the Family Welfare Movement (PKK) took part in the program. The results indicated improved knowledge and skills, the production of approximately 50 aromatherapy candles with lavender, rose, and vanilla scents, and the establishment of a community group committed to continuing independent production. The program contributed positively to the environment by reducing around 15 liters of waste oil per month and created new entrepreneurial opportunities for residents. Therefore, this initiative can serve as a sustainable community empowerment model based on circular economy principles.
