Abstract

This study investigates how young leaders utilize social media as a strategic communication tool to influence public emotion within digital political environments. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach and guided by the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) framework, 15 peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2015 and 2024 were critically reviewed. The findings are categorized into four major themes: political engagement, emotional mobilization, public trust, and crisis communication. The analysis reveals that young leaders strategically use emotional narratives such as anger, hope, fear, and solidarity to shape public sentiment, mobilize action, and foster trust, especially during times of sociopolitical unrest and public health crises. Additionally, the study emphasizes the challenges posed by disinformation and the importance of authenticity, emotional tone, and adaptive messaging in digital leadership. This research contributes to the discourse on youth political communication by proposing the need for emotion-centered strategic frameworks to guide impactful and responsible social media engagement.

Abstract

This study discusses the role of the government in providing public services and infrastructure development to increase economic growth and community productivity. The case study focuses on the development of Rempang Eco City in Indonesia, which faced challenges due to the lack of involvement of the local community and the reliance on technical aspects only. The relocation efforts did not consider the social and emotional aspects of the community, leading to conflicts and human rights violations. It highlights the need for an effective communication strategy involving multi-actors to ensure that development projects are sustainable and do not discriminate against local indigenous populations. The government, indigenous communities, and BP Batam need to understand each other's interests and concerns to minimize the emergence of sectoral egos, dominance, and asymmetric information.  The research study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods to explore the conflict between sectors on Rempang Island. Data collection was conducted through document study, gathering information from various credible secondary sources. The data analysis was descriptive, aiming to provide an interpretation of the conflicts and their implications. The theoretical basis of the text is the importance of effective communication in policy formulation and implementation, which is crucial for the proper functioning of democracy in a developing country like Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the key determinant factors influencing poverty and inequality, as well as to examine their implications for village development planning. The research adopts a mixed-method approach by integrating robust regression-based quantitative analysis with qualitative literature studies derived from secondary sources. The findings identify five factors that significantly affect inequality: economic growth, the open unemployment rate, the human development index (HDI), the proportion of informal agricultural workers, and fiscal transfers from the central government to regional administrations. Furthermore, six determinant factors are found to influence poverty: economic growth, inequality, the open unemployment rate, the human development index, the proportion of informal agricultural workers, and fiscal transfers from the central government to local governments. As a key implication, the study emphasizes the need to prioritize the allocation of village funds toward programs that directly address the root causes of poverty and inequality. This strategic focus is essential to ensure that rural development planning contributes effectively to social equity and sustainable economic growth at the village level.
