Abstract

A lack of accurate and effective information causes difficulty in choosing the right shares. Therefore, an accurate analysis model is needed for stock selection management. One algorithm model often used is Deep Learning Long Short Term Memory, which utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning technology. This research aims to prove whether the Deep Learning Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) prediction results are close to real prices. The method used is deep learning long short-term memory, which uses six well-established sectors in the Indonesian stock market: large banks, medium banks, digital banks, property, pharmaceuticals, and consumers. The daily stock prices used were taken from the Yahoo Finance API from January 1 2021 – June 6 2023, to predict stock prices on June 16 2023. A trading window simulation for each sector was carried out for one week, starting on June 7, 2023, and liquidated on the 16th. June 2023. The simulation was carried out for one hundred thousand USD invested at the edge of the estimated efficient frontier, optimizing the risk and return tradeoff. The results show that the predicted and actual values are not significantly different, meaning that LSTM can be relied on to predict stock prices. Furthermore, including fundamentals and technicalities and further refinement of LSTM hyperparameters, coupled with genetic algorithms, can increase prediction precision.

Abstract

Abstract

This study integrates economic and geospatial approaches to analyze the effectiveness of capital expenditures, fund allocation, and physical monitoring in regional development and improving community welfare, particularly in Kalimantan. This integration aims to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the contribution of fiscal policy to regional development. Fiscal instruments such as the General Allocation Fund (DAU), Special Allocation Fund (DAK), and Regional Original Revenue (PAD) are analyzed to determine the extent to which each impacts regional economic growth and improves the quality of life of the community. In addition to the fiscal aspect, this study also evaluates the use of geospatial technology in monitoring the progress of physical development in the field. This technology was assessed in terms of accuracy, efficiency, and its potential to support real-time development planning and monitoring processes. A quantitative approach was used, applying panel data regression models, Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis, and spatial analysis to comprehensively describe the relationships between variables. The results of the study indicate that the integration of fiscal and spatial data can provide more accurate and relevant information for decision-making in regional development planning. The combination of these two approaches has been proven to strengthen the effectiveness of development policies and can be used as a reference in developing data-driven, sustainable development strategies that are oriented towards equitable distribution of community welfare.

Abstract

Construction is a high-risk activity that can lead to accidents. Workplace accidents can be caused by unsafe behavior. One way to reduce workplace accidents is by establishing a safety culture. A safety culture can be formed through the presence of factors that shape a safety culture. This study aims to examine the relationship between factors that shape a safety culture and safety behavior. This study is descriptive, observational, and uses a cross-sectional design. The population in this study was 73 respondents, and data were collected using a questionnaire. The independent variables were management commitment, occupational safety and health regulations and procedures, communication, competence, worker involvement in occupational safety and health, and the worker's social environment, while the dependent variable was safety behavior. the results showed that factors that shape a safety culture with a strong but weak relationship to safety behavior were management commitment, occupational safety and health regulations and procedures, and worker involvement. Factors that shape a safety culture that have a strong relationship to safety behavior were communication (c = 0.414) and the worker's social environment (c = 0.477). It is recommended that companies optimize safety culture through communication and the social environment of workers by holding safety talks and safety inductions.

Abstract

Organizational culture is part of an integrated system, whether it's a structured organization or an unstructured community. Most research on organizational culture discusses the relationship between culture and other variables within the organization, or how to measure culture within an organization. In an era of technological advancement, rapid change, and high complexity, a method is needed to effectively change organizational culture. This study attempts to examine three concepts that offer methods for changing organizational culture. All three concepts offer the same paradigm: that cultural change does not begin with changing something abstract and soft-system. Rather, cultural change needs to begin with changing something concrete and tangible. This includes procedures, work methods, infrastructure, and other artifacts within the company organization. These three concepts are then synthesized to produce a proposed concept. This proposed concept is expected to be easier to implement and understand for activists and researchers in the field of organizational culture.
