This study analyzes Uniqlo's Live Life in Flannel advertisement using a semiotic approach to understand the visual and audio symbols employed and their impact on Uniqlos brand equity. This qualitative research utilizes video advertisement analysis to identify key elements such as color, visual narration, and audio composition that build a positive perception of Uniqlo's flannel products. The study also includes interviews with consumers who interact with Uniqlo's flannel products at its Surabaya store to gain further insights into their perceptions of product quality and brand image.The analysis results show that the Live Life in Flannel advertisement successfully creates strong associations between Uniqlos flannel products and symbols of friendship, comfort, and confidence. These symbols effectively shape brand awareness and brand associations in consumers' minds, reinforcing the perceived quality of Uniqlo's flannel products. Thus, this study highlights the importance of semiotic analysis in understanding the role of visual and audio elements in strengthening brand image and provides insights into how Uniqlo can leverage visual strategies to enhance its brand equity in a competitive market

With the development of today's technology, it is not uncommon for AI to become a threat to young filmmakers in developing their ideas in the right way, and AI is only becoming an aid and not the main tool to achieve independent filmmaking. This study aims to observe how budget and technical constraints in independent film production drive innovation in narrative and filmmaking styles. This research takes the subject of a 2024 production film with the title "Angkara Murka" by filmmaker Eden Junjung. The main focus of this study is to observe how independent films are produced with limited resources and rely on the creativity of their creators to produce high-quality works that can compete with the production of commercial films and be presented in cinema media. In the process, this research uses a qualitative approach to analyze a case study of an independent film titled "Angkara Murka" which successfully uses the technique of film .In the process, this research uses a qualitative approach to analyze a case study of an independent film titled "Angkara Wrake" which successfully uses simple film techniques and strong narratives to create a visual experience that is acceptable in terms of message and story meaning by the audience. In indie film production, it is not uncommon for filmmakers to find that budget constraints often lead to the use of innovative techniques to create authentic cinematic effects, such as the use of natural light, locations with no rental fees, and low-cost cameras. In addition, these limitations also encourage the development of a more focused and intense narrative, with deeper characters and a more focused storyline. The study shows that despite the great challenges associated with small costs, cost constraints can motivate independent filmmakers to find creative solutions that produce good visual style and original narratives. Purpose: This community service activity aims to enhance the videography skills of students at SMKN 12 Malang, particularly in product video shooting and editing. This training is expected to support product promotion through creative and engaging video media. Method: The training included an introduction to basic videography techniques such as lighting, angles and shooting settings. Students were trained to use video editing applications such as CapCut to add visual effects, transitions, audio, as well as compiling video-based product e-catalogs. An evaluation was conducted using a questionnaire to measure participants' satisfaction with the training. Practical Application: Students who take part in this training are expected to be able to produce creative and quality product promotion videos. This ability is relevant to support the promotional needs of local products and the creative industry in general. Conclusion: The training received a positive response from the participants, with 88% feeling satisfied and showing high enthusiasm, as seen from their improvisation and creativity in producing videos. This activity is expected to provide long-term benefits in developing students' videography skills to support the needs of the creative industry.

Bahasa isyarat merupakan alat terpenting bagi penyandang disabilitas pendengaran dan bicara untuk berkomunikasi dengan orang di sekitarnya. Namun keberadaan bahasa isyarat kurang dipahami oleh masyarakat umum sehingga seringkali membatasi kebebasan bergerak para penyandang tunarungu dan tuna wicara. Anda memerlukan pendamping yang mampu menerjemahkan informasi di sekitar Anda, seperti ahli bahasa isyarat. Diperlukan inovasi-inovasi baru, khususnya di bidang teknologi, untuk membantu penyandang disabilitas pendengaran dan bicara berkomunikasi lebih nyaman dengan lingkungan sekitarnya. Secara khusus, penelitian ini memperkenalkan konsep pembuatan video animasi dalam bahasa isyarat, yang mengubah gerakan tubuh para ahli menjadi animasi 3D. Dalam ilmu videografi berbagai macam angle serta sudut pengembilan angle sangat diperlukan, namun seorang animator harus bisa menganalisa serta menentukan shot apa saja yang paling efektif dalam penerapann Bahasa isyarat agar menciptakan pergerakan animasi yang bisa diterima runa wicara.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the story of the daily routine of TPA Piyungan Yogyakarta in the documentary film The Waste On The Hills by Himawan Pratista. Social and environmental problems are clearly visible, where this TPA has actually exceeded its capacity. piyungan landfill has been operation since 1995, and it has to be stopped using in 2016, but until now, it still in use the height of the garbage dump from the ground has reached more than a 20 fibors building. Low public awareness in environmental management can be a cause of environmental pollution. Then efforts to manage waste that are not effective will result in health problems for humans and livestock around the landfill. In the middle of the pile of garbage there are lots of scavengers looking for trash to sell again. The results of writing this article aim to analyze and describe or explain the factors that cause and impact caused by piles of garbage. The writing of this article also uses a qualitative descriptive approach method opinion raising starting from 01:00 to 06:00 then the climax begins to appear at 09:15 on 3 quarters of the duration of the film.

Taneyan Lanjang merupakan salah satu kebudayaan yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat Madura dalam corak permukiman. Sumenep adalah bagian dari pulau Madura yang memiliki karakter kebersamaan yang kuat, tangguh, keras, ulet, persaudaraan dan kekerabatannya, dan kepribadian lainnya. Taneyan Lanjang berasal dari bahasa Madura yang artinya Taneyan adalah halaman dan Lanjang itu adalah panjang. Taneyan Lanjang merupakan halaman panjang yang terdiri dari suatu kumpulan rumah yang berjejer dalam satu keturunan keluarga yang mengikatnya. Banyak masyarakat Madura khususnya Sumenep kurang mengetahui dengan budaya ini. Bahkan untuk generasi remaja masyarakat madura di Sumenep kurang tertarik dengan kelestarian budaya Taneyan Lanjang. Peneliti luar negeri menganggap budaya Taneyan Lanjang itu sebagai aset yang harus diberdayakan.Maka dari itu diperlukan budaya Taneyan Lanjang Sumenep untuk dipublikasikan berupa video dokumenter expository sebagai media informasi. Karena bentuk dokumenter ini memberikan sajian sebuah narasi dengan pesan persuasif yang dikombinasikan dengan serangkaian gambar yang bertujuan agar lebih deskriptif dan informatif. Supaya masyarakat Madura di Kabupaten Sumenep dapat mengenal dan mengetahui budaya Taneyan Lanjang kepada generasi muda di Sumenep dan dapat melestarikanan budaya Taneyan Lanjang sebagai identitas wilayah di Kabupaten Sumenep yang masih bertahan hingga saat ini.

Transformasi relief candi ke dalam motif batik telah banyak dilakukan, namun sebagian besar penelitian masih menekankan adaptasi dekoratif tanpa analisis konseptual mengenai transformasi visual dan makna simboliknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji perancangan motif batik modern berbasis relief Nadiswara dan ornamen kepala Kala Candi Singosari Malang dengan menitikberatkan pada proses transformasi morfologi dan reinterpretasi simbolik. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif eksploratif berbasis praktik desain melalui tahapan observasi visual, analisis morfologi bentuk, stilasi motif, serta pengembangan komposisi batik. Landasan teoritis menggunakan pendekatan bahasa rupa dan semiotika visual untuk memahami proses translasi ikonografi sakral ke dalam desain tekstil kontemporer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa stilasi mengubah elemen relief tiga dimensi menjadi sistem ornamen dua dimensi dengan tetap mempertahankan penanda visual utama seperti kontur ekspresif, ritme dekoratif, dan atribut simbolik. Integrasi ikonografi Nadiswara dan Kala menghasilkan sistem visual khas yang menyeimbangkan simbol proteksi kosmologis dan spiritualitas Siwaistik. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada kajian desain budaya melalui pengajuan kerangka konseptual pengembangan motif berbasis heritage yang melampaui adaptasi dekoratif menuju reinterpretasi visual dan negosiasi kultural. Temuan ini menegaskan potensi batik sebagai medium revitalisasi warisan arkeologis dalam konteks fashion kontemporer.

Childhood obesity persists as a significant global public health challenge, influenced not only by dietary factors but also by parental perceptions that frequently associate objectively overweight children with good health. This prevalent misconception can severely impede early prevention efforts and negatively impact children's physical and psychological development. This study aimed to develop and evaluate a digital picture book as an educational medium to enhance self-awareness among children aged 9–12 years concerning obesity prevention and the adoption of healthy lifestyles. Using a direct research method, data were systematically collected through structured interviews with parents, questionnaires administered to the target children, and direct observations during the intervention. The comprehensive evaluation specifically assessed children's understanding of health concepts, their engagement with the visual content, and their overall acceptance of the educational material. The developed digital picture book, titled "Aku Terlindungi dari Obesitas!" (I Am Protected from Obesity!), achieved a 'very good' effectiveness rating of 89% based on responses from 30 child participants in Malang City. These findings robustly indicate that the integrated visual and narrative approach effectively supports children's comprehension of obesity risks and actively promotes the adoption of healthy behaviors. This study significantly contributes to the field of visual communication design, demonstrating the potent capability of engaging visual storytelling in digital picture books to serve as an effective and accessible educational medium for the early prevention of childhood obesity.

Purpose: This study aims to enhance SMK-NU Donomulyo's digital promotion capacity through 2D animation training, addressing the school's limited resources for producing effective promotional content in the competitive educational landscape. Method: A participatory action research design was employed, engaging teachers and Visual Communication Design students in hands-on training using Figma for graphic design, complemented by Canva and Animaker for animation development. Practical Applications: The findings enable sustainable, independent creation of promotional content, strengthening the school's digital marketing capabilities and enhancing visibility across social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Conclusion: With 96% of participants mastering animation fundamentals and 100% successfully producing promotional animations, this training demonstrates that accessible, cost-effective tools can effectively build institutional digital capacity for educational promotion in the digital era.
