Abstract

Cerdas berteknologi pada anak dan remaja telah menjadi topik yang semakin penting dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Penggunaan teknologi dapat memberikan manfaat seperti meningkatkan keterampilan teknologi, kreativitas, dan akses ke sumber daya pendidikan dan informasi yang luas. Namun, penggunaan teknologi yang berlebihan atau tidak terkendali dapat menyebabkan dampak negatif pada kesehatan fisik dan mental anak-anak dan remaja. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendidikan dan pembatasan waktu layar yang tepat bagi anak-anak dan remaja untuk mengurangi dampak negatif penggunaan teknologi. Orang tua dan pengasuh juga dapat membantu anak-anak dan remaja untuk membangun keterampilan digital yang sehat dan melakukan kegiatan lain di luar teknologi untuk memperkuat hubungan sosial dan mengurangi waktu layar. Dengan mengambil tindakan yang tepat, penggunaan teknologi dapat memberikan manfaat yang bermanfaat bagi anak-anak dan remaja dan meminimalkan dampak negatif yang mungkin timbul.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze multimedia learning tools' impact on improving grade VI students' English language skills at SDN 02 Lubuk Buaya, Padang City. In today's digital era, technology in education is increasingly important, especially in improving language skills. The method used is a quantitative experiment with a pre-test and post-test approach. The sample consisted of 52 students and was divided into two groups: an experimental group using multimedia applications and a control group using conventional methods. The results showed that multimedia significantly improved students' English skills, especially vocabulary comprehension and speaking skills. Data analysis revealed a significant difference between the control and experimental groups, which showed better progress. These findings confirm the benefits of integrating multimedia technology in language teaching, which can help students be more engaged and motivated in learning English. This study provides empirical evidence regarding the effectiveness of multimedia use in improving students' English learning outcomes. Multimedia tools based on mobile applications and e-learning platforms are becoming more widespread to improve students' English skills. Therefore, it is important for schools and educators further to integrate multimedia technology into the English language learning curriculum. In addition, training for teachers in the use of multimedia tools is also needed to ensure that the technology is used effectively. Thus, students' English learning outcomes can be significantly improved by applying this method.

Abstract

This activity was motivated by the low level of digital literacy and the limited implementation of programming education in secondary schools, which have resulted in students’ lack of understanding of computational thinking from an early age. In fact, this ability is essential for developing critical and creative thinking skills to face the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0. This condition highlights the need for educational interventions that introduce the concept of coding starting from the high school level. The workshop aimed to introduce the fundamentals of programming to students of SMA INS Kayutanam through an interactive visual approach using the Scratch platform. This platform was chosen because it is beginner-friendly, featuring a block-based interface that is easy to understand without requiring complex syntax. Through this activity, students learned programming logic, algorithmic thinking, and problem-solving skills in a fun and practical way. The implementation used a project-based learning approach that combined short lectures, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and group discussions. The activity was carried out over two days in the school’s computer laboratory, involving 20 students and two accompanying teachers. Each session focused on introducing programming logic, creating mini projects using Scratch, and evaluating learning outcomes through pre-tests and post-tests. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ understanding, with the average pre-test score increasing from 43 to 82 in the post-test. A total of 90% of participants expressed satisfaction with the activity, and 85% were interested in continuing to learn programming afterward. The visual-based workshop model proved effective in enhancing students’ motivation, confidence, and understanding of technology. This activity not only developed students’ cognitive abilities but also encouraged them to experiment, collaborate, and create through simple projects such as animations or interactive games. The program has the potential to serve as a sustainable community engagement model that integrates educational, technological, and social aspects in supporting the digital transformation of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Siswa SD saat ini sudah memanfaatkan teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran di sekolahnya, bahkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Tapi masih banyak siswa SD yang belum memahami bagaimana seharusnya memanfaatkan teknologi digital ini dengan baik dan benar, juga agar lebih efisien dan etis. Teknologi digital yang biasa siswa SD gunakan saat ini adalah komputer maupun turunannya. Agar siswa SD dapat mengambil hal positif dari penggunaan teknologi ini, maka kami tim pengabdi perlu melakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini lebih dikhususkan kepada fluensi digital, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan fluensi digital siswa SD kelas V di SD N 02 Lubuk Buaya, Kota Padang. Kemampuan dalam menggunakan komputer menjadi penting bagi siswa untuk menghadapi era globalisasi. Sebelum melaksanakan kegiatan, tim pengabdi telah melakukan pretest terhadap siswa dengan cara tanyajawab langsung. Kemudian mensosialisasikan fluensi digital dan memberikan pelatihan yang berkaitan dengan fluensi digital. Kegiatan ini melibatkan metode pembelajaran interaktif yang mencakup permainan edukatif, proyek kelompok, dan simulasi. Setelah kegiatan selesai dilaksanakan, tim pengabdi kembali melaksanakan posttest terhadap siswa dengan tanyajawab langsung dan menggunakan aplikasi yang berkaitan dengan fluensi digital. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan komputer siswa. Kegiatan ini juga mendapatkan tanggapan positif dari siswa dan guru, menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan interaktif, informatif dan inovatif efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan partisipasi siswa SD kelas V SD N 02 Lubuk Buaya, Kota Padang.

Abstract

The volatility of quarterly Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) growth across economic sectors poses a significant challenge for regional governments in determining investment priorities. This study develops a decision support system (DSS) to rank investment priorities among economic sectors in West Sumatra Province using a hybrid Analytic Hierarchy Process–Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (AHP-TOPSIS) method. Five criteria were extracted from three dimensions of GRDP growth rates, namely C-to-C, Q-to-Q, and Y-on-Y, for 2024–2025: average C-to-C growth, average Y-on-Y growth, Q-to-Q stability (the inverse of standard deviation), latest quarter growth (Q4 2025), and positive consistency (the number of quarters with growth > 0). Criteria weights were determined through an AHP pairwise comparison questionnaire completed by regional economic experts, resulting in a consistency ratio (CR) of 0.015. The TOPSIS method was then applied to rank 17 economic sectors. The results show that the top five investment priorities are Government Administration, Defense, and Mandatory Social Security (O) = 0.711; Health Services and Social Activities (Q) = 0.671; Financial Services and Insurance (K) = 0.633; Other Services (R) = 0.594; and Real Estate (L) = 0.573. The system was implemented as an interactive dashboard using Python Streamlit. The ranking results are consistent with regional development conditions, as validated by experts. This DSS provides an objective, data-driven tool for regional investment policymaking.

Abstract

Metode VIKOR (VIšekriterijumsko KOmpromisno Rangiranje) merupakan teknik pengambilan keputusan multi-kriteria yang cocok untuk seleksi penerima beasiswa karena mempertimbangkan banyak kriteria sekaligus. Dalam penerapannya di SMA N 5 Padang untuk penyeleksian beasiswa kurang mampu, langkah awal adalah mengidentifikasi kriteria penilaian seperti nilai akhir raport, jumlah tanggungan keluarga, kepemilikan rumah, dan penghasilan orang tua. Setelah data dinormalisasi dan bobot kriteria ditentukan, indeks preferensi (S, R, Q) dihitung untuk menentukan peringkat setiap calon. Calon dengan indeks terendah dianggap terbaik dan hasil ini divalidasi sebelum implementasi. Pendekatan VIKOR memastikan keputusan yang efisien, objektif, dan proporsional sesuai kriteria yang ditetapkan.

Abstract

Pengembangan destinasi pariwisata di Provinsi Sumatera Utara memiliki potensi yang besar, namun masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur dan belum diterapkannya perencanaan berbasis data. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK) yang mengintegrasikan metode TOPSIS dan Borda guna menentukan prioritas pengembangan pariwisata secara lebih efektif. Metode TOPSIS digunakan untuk mengevaluasi alternatif destinasi berdasarkan kedekatannya dengan solusi ideal, sementara metode Borda memperkuat proses pengambilan keputusan melalui sistem pemeringkatan yang mencerminkan preferensi para pemangku kepentingan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kampung Ulos Huta Raja, Paropo Silalahi, dan Desa Bakkara merupakan destinasi utama yang direkomendasikan untuk diprioritaskan dalam pengembangan. Integrasi metode TOPSIS dan Borda menghasilkan keputusan yang lebih objektif, konsisten, dan berbasis pada kriteria terukur. Pendekatan ini menawarkan solusi inovatif bagi pengelolaan pariwisata, mendukung transformasi digital, serta membantu pemerintah dan para pemangku kepentingan dalam mengambil keputusan yang lebih strategis dan efektif.

Abstract

Islamic educational institutions such as madrasas often experience delays and data errors in grade processing and report preparation because administrative processes are still carried out manually. This study aims to automate grade recaps and academic report generation by applying artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the efficiency and accuracy of educational management. The methods used include needs analysis in one Islamic high school (MA), AI-based system design, and implementation of a machine learning module for grade analysis. This trial was conducted in one Madrasah Aliyah (MA) with 150 student grade records collected between July and December 2024 and 20 teaching and education staff. The test results showed that the average grade recap time was reduced from approximately 2–3 days to only 8–10 minutes (≈97%), academic report generation from 3–5 days to 1–2 hours, and the input error rate decreased by more than 90%. A total of 85% of teaching and administrative staff stated that the system was very helpful in their work. These findings confirm that AI integration significantly improves the efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of Islamic educational administration while making an important contribution to the madrasah digitalization agenda. This research is expected to make a tangible contribution to the digitalization of Islamic education through the use of AI technology. Although the prototype was demonstrated at a single institution, its modular architecture illustrates a novel adaptation of AI in Islamic educational administration.

Abstract

The growth of the poultry industry has led to an increase in chicken waste volume, which may cause environmental and health problems if not properly managed. However, chicken waste also has the potential to be processed into value-added products that support sustainable agriculture and a circular economy. This study aims to develop an objective and systematic decision support system to determine the most sustainable chicken waste product based on economic efficiency and environmental impact within the operational context of the Agricultural Modernization and Assembly Agency (BRMP) of North Sumatra. A hybrid Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) approach was applied by integrating the Criteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation (CRITIC) method and the Measurement of Alternatives and Ranking according to Compromise Solution (MARCOS) method. The CRITIC method determines criteria weights objectively based on data variability and inter-criteria correlation, while the MARCOS method ranks alternatives based on utility values relative to ideal and anti-ideal solutions. Fifteen chicken waste product alternatives were evaluated using seven economic, technical, and environmental criteria. The results show that chicken manure compost is the best alternative, with the highest utility value (Kᵢ > 1), indicating superior performance in terms of production cost, market feasibility, environmental impact, and raw material availability. Sensitivity analysis confirms that the ranking results remain stable despite changes in criteria weights. This study contributes to the development of hybrid MCDM methods for agricultural waste management and provides a transparent and reliable decision-making framework for policymakers.

Abstract

The rapid development and growth of information technology has a positive impact on agencies engaged in industry, sales, and services. Currently, sales are no longer carried out by sellers and buyers who meet face-to-face at the point of sale. Sales can already be done without having to go to the point of sale, and the seller and the buyer do not have to meet in person. Sales systems such as utilizing internet services for buying and selling online This research was conducted at the Mass Furniture Store using a field research methodology and library research. The Mass Furniture Shop is a shop that sells teak furniture. In selling furniture, it turns out that the shop has problems providing information to the public about the activities that exist in the store. Data processing is still done manually, or, in other words, there is no special program designed to process sales data, so the preparation of sales reports often experiences delays. The Mass Furniture Store's website design for socialization media, ordering media, and online sales media is built with the PHP programming language and MySQL database, and it is expected to optimize product sales, facilitate sales transactions, and make data processing faster, more precise, and more efficient. With the design of the website as a medium for socializing, selling, and ordering goods online, it can provide convenience for users, both the general public and customers, to get to know the Mass Furniture Store more easily, closely, and without being limited by space or time.
