Abstract

Education in Indonesia aims to produce a generation that is intelligent and has character according to Pancasila values. This research examines the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in developing the Big Five Personality dimensions in fifth grade students at SDN 59/IV Jambi City. With a qualitative approach, the results show that P5 supports openness, collaboration, responsibility and managing students' emotions, while strengthening Pancasila values ​​such as tolerance and diversity. This research confirms the importance of project-based learning innovation for adaptive and effective character education.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara regulasi diri berdasar­kan tiga aspek penyusunnya yaitu metakognisi, motivasi dan perilaku dengan prestasi belajar Kalkulus II. Sampel penelitian ini ialah mahasiswa angkatan 2012 yang memprogramkan mata kuliah Kalkulus II sejumlah 59 orang. Data diperoleh menggunakan skala metakognisi, skala motivasi dan skala perilaku serta dokumentasi nilai akhir mata kuliah Kalkulus II. Data di­analisis menggunakan analisis korelasi. Hasil analisis data menunjuk­kan: (1) terdapat hubung­an yang positif dan signifikan antara metakognisi dengan prestasi belajar Kalkulus II (r = 0,743; = 0,05); (2) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara motivasi dengan prestasi belajar Kalkulus II (r = 0,791; = 0,05); (3) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara perilaku dengan prestasi belajar Kalkulus II (r = 0,895; = 0,05); (4) Terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara metakognisi, motivasi dan perilaku secara simultan dengan prestasi belajar Kalkulus II (R = 0,778; = 0,05). Jadi, regulasi diri yang ditinjau dari aspek metakognisi, motivasi dan perilaku memiliki hubungan yang positif dan signifikan terhadap pencapaian prestasi belajar seseorang, khususnya pada mata kuliah Kalkulus II. Kata kunci: Regulasi Diri; Metakognisi; Motivasi; Perilaku; Prestasi Belajar.

Abstract

Abstrak This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) that aims to improve the learning activity of fifth grade students of SDN 55/I Sridadi through the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model. Data collection methods used observation, interviews, and documentation, analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The results showed that the implementation of the TGT model has increased student activity. In cycle I, meeting 1, student activity was 52.13% (low category), increasing in meeting 2 to 59.37% (low category) with an increase of 7.24%. In cycle II, meeting 1 reached 63.15% (sufficient category) with an increase of 3.78% from the previous meeting, and in meeting 2 it increased to 78.28% (high category) with an increase of 15.13%. The implementation of the TGT model makes students more active, brave, and independent in exploring knowledge through observation, asking teachers and friends, discussing, and presenting in front of the class. The conclusion of this study is that the TGT model is effective in increasing the activeness of fifth grade students in spatial geometry material, as evidenced by the increase in the percentage of activeness at each meeting in both cycles.

Abstract

This research uses a quantitative approach with experimental methods. The experimental design applied was one group pretest-posttest design. The population and sample in the research were students in class VA SDN 64/I Muara Bulian, totaling 27 students. The sampling technique used in this research was Probability Sampling with Cluster Random Sampling type. The data collection technique is a problem solving ability test. Validation of the assessment instrument uses validity tests and reliability tests. Data analysis techniques through normality and hypothesis testing activities. The research results show that the PMRI approach has quite an influence on the problem solving abilities of fifth grade elementary school students. This is proven by the average initial ability value, namely 47.34, and the final ability after being given the PBL model treatment, namely 68.60. According to N-Gain calculations, the average increase from pretest to posttest is 0.43 in the medium category. After carrying out the Wilcoxon test, the sig value was also obtained. < 0.05, namely 0.000 < 0.05, meaning Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Thus, it can be stated that the PMRI approach has quite an influence on the problem solving abilities of fifth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

The research method used by the author is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The subjects of the study are teachers and students at SDN 173/IX Rantau Harapan who are involved in the implementation of literacy and numeracy activities in the Independent Curriculum. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. Based on the results of the research, the implementation of literacy and numeracy in SD Negeri 173/IX Rantau Harapan using the Independent Curriculum shows an improvement in student ability, although there are still challenges. Literacy activities are carried out through various methods such as reading together, group discussions, and the use of diverse reading materials to improve student understanding. Meanwhile, numeracy activities are applied with a practice-based approach, such as calculation in the context of daily life and educational games to strengthen the understanding of mathematical concepts. School report cards in literacy and numeracy activities show significant development and improvement. This increase can be seen from the 2024 SDN 173/IX Rantau Harapan education report report. In the report, it can be seen that the change in the value of literacy and numerical achievement from last year has increased. The increase in literacy was 13.33% from 86.67% in 2023, an increase of 100%. Meanwhile, the increase in numeracy achievement value was 36.30%, which initially in 2023 was in the range of 60% numeracy ability, increasing by 96.3% in 2024. It is hoped that the implementation of literacy and numeracy can be more effective in supporting the achievement of the goals of the Independent Curriculum in improving the basic competencies of students as a whole.

Abstract

Mathematics learning is a systematically designed process to enable students to achieve understanding and mastery of the mathematical concepts being taught. However, in practice, many students show low interest in learning mathematics, which affects their comprehension and engagement in the learning process. This study aims to describe the implementation of project-based learning and how it improves students' learning interest in mathematics for Grade V students at SDN 134/I Merbau. This research is a classroom action research (CAR), carried out in two cycles, where each cycle consists of two meetings and includes four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 13 fifth-grade students of SDN 134/I Merbau, consisting of 5 boys and 8 girls. The data collection techniques used were observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The observation instruments used were a student interest questionnaire and an observation sheet for the learning implementation activities. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the project-based learning model could increase students' interest in learning mathematics. The researcher measured the level of student interest using a questionnaire instrument, which showed a success rate of 59.48% in the first cycle and 90.89% in the second cycle. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the implementation of project-based learning can improve students' learning interest, as evidenced by the increase exceeding 70%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of using Canva-based interactive multimedia on the ability of addition and subtraction of fractional numbers in grade V of elementary school. This study uses a quantitative approach of the Pre experimental design type. The design used in this study is one group design, where there is only one experimental class. The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference in the average value of the ability of fractional arithmetic operations in the experimental class. This can be seen from the results of the t-test using an independent sample t-test, obtained a t-count value greater than the t-table value, namely 8.472 > 1.708, and a significance value of P-value 0.00 < 0.05. then Ho is accepted. Then based on the effect size test, the Cohens'd value of 2.357 is included in the large effect size criteria d > 0.8. Based on the results of the study, there is an effect of using Canva-based interactive multimedia on the ability of addition and subtraction of fractional numbers in grade V of elementary school. As well as a large influence of the use of Canva-based interactive multimedia on the ability of addition and subtraction of students' arithmetic operations.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the contextual learning approach on the critical thinking skills of third-grade elementary school students on the topic of length and weight. The research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental design, specifically the One-Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The research subjects consisted of all third-grade students of SDN 124/1 Batin, totaling 26 students. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments designed to measure students’ critical thinking skills. The obtained data were analyzed using statistical tests with the assistance of SPSS version 21. Prior to hypothesis testing, prerequisite analyses in the form of normality and homogeneity tests were conducted. The results of the normality test indicated that the data were not normally distributed; therefore, hypothesis testing was carried out using the nonparametric Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Descriptive analysis results showed an increase in the average score of students’ critical thinking skills from 43.04 in the pretest to 63.73 in the posttest. The results of the Wilcoxon test revealed a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference in students’ critical thinking skills before and after the implementation of the contextual learning approach. Thus, it can be concluded that the contextual learning approach has a significant effect on improving the critical thinking skills of third-grade elementary school students on the topic of length and weight

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a learning media called Pos Jumlah for addition materials and to examine its validity and practicality. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects included first-grade students of SDN 076/I Sungai Buluh, a firstgrade teacher, and material and media experts as validators. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and numeracy tests in the form of pretests and posttests.The validation results showed that the Pos Jumlah learning media achieved an average score of 91%, categorized as very valid. The results of small-group and large-group trials indicated a very high level of practicality, as reflected by positive responses from both teachers and students, with percentages of 91% and 89%, respectively. These findings indicate that the media is easy to use, engaging, and able to increase student participation during the learning process.Based on the results, it can be concluded that the Pos Jumlah learning media is feasible to be used as an alternative instructional medium in mathematics learning, particularly for addition material in first-grade elementary school. This media is expected to help students understand addition concepts concretely and meaningfully, as well as improve their numeracy skills.
