Abstract

Let G be an undirected graphs with no multiple edges. There are many ways to represent a graph, and one of them is in a matrix form, by constructing an antiadjacency matrix. Given a connected graph G with  vertex set $V$ consisting of n members, an antiadjacency matrix of the graph G is a matrix B of order n \times n such that if there is an edge that connects vertex v_i to vertex v_j (v_i \sim v_j ) then the element of i^{th} row and b^{th} column of B is 0, otherwise 1. In this paper we investigate some properties of antiadjacency matrices for some strong product of two graphs. Our results are general forms of the antiadjacency matrix of the strong product of path graphs P_m with P_n for m, n\ge 3, and cycle graphs C_m with C_m for m \ge 3.

Abstract

The Basic Calculus course is one of the compulsory courses that must be mastered by prospective mathematics teachers. This study aims to analyze the errors in the topic of Continuity in terms of prospective mathematics teachers’ ability to (1) interpret function graphs, (2) draw functions, and (3) utilize relevant concepts to construct written solutions. This is a descriptive study involving 27 second-semester of prospective mathematics teachers enrolled in Basic Calculus course as the subject of the study. Data were collected through written tests to all subjects, and interviews to selected subjects. The analysis of students' written answers revealed five types of errors: (1) errors in reading function graphs, (2) errors in sketching function graphs, (3) errors in determining the limit value of functions, (4) errors in understanding the concept of division by zero, and (5) errors in using the concept of Continuity. The findings of this study indicate that 66.67% of prospective mathematics teachers continue to demonstrate a limited proficiency in reading function graphs, 59.26% of students exhibit a lack of competence in function sketching, and 25.93% of students have a low level of ability in utilizing concepts to construct written solutions.

Abstract

Abstract

Climate change has an impact on increasing the temperature of the earth's surface or what is known as global warming. The impact of global warming will affect the pattern of precipitation, evaporation, water run-off, soil moisture and climate variations which are very volatile can threaten the success of horticultural production, especially shallots. Shallots are a strategic commodity but are strongly influenced by fluctuations in production. The development of shallots is one of them constrained by the weather/climate which affects the production of shallots. From these constraints, shallots are also a commodity that contribute significantly to inflation. Hidden Markov Models (HMM) is one of the stochastic processes when the future only depends on condition now, in markov chain all of the element observable, and the probability move to another probability. Prediction and estimation of shallot crops with rainfall input, temperature, and humidity is done with data starting in 2016 until 2020. Estimated shallot crops follows the optimum movement pattern of prediction shallot in each of each variable. The planting months that are usually carried out in the two districts are around February, May, June and September the lowest shallot crops in April or May because transition of rainy to dry season. And the highest shallot crops in October or November. The best accuracy of estimation is rainfall factor with MAPE 5,89% with high accuracy category while 5,84% in MAPE temperature and in 5,55% in humidity factor in category high.
