Abstract

Tea (Camellia sinensis) is a drink that is one of the favorites of Indonesian people. Black tea contains polyphenol compounds which act as antioxidants. The compound components of lime fruit (Citrus limon) have antioxidant activity. The brewing process is very beneficial because antioxidant compounds are obtained optimally and can maintain the quality of chemical compounds. The aim of this research was to determine the interaction based on the results of antioxidant activity tests on a combination of black tea liquid extract and lemon juice. This research is included in the experimental design carried out at the Tarumanagara University Laboratory, Cilandak, South Jakarta. The research methods used included phytochemical screening, ash content test, total flavonoid test and antioxidant test using SNI 01-1902-1995 tea brewing standards. The research results showed that the phytochemical screening combination of black tea liquid extract and lime juice contained flavonoid, saponin, tannin and terpenoid compounds. The ash content in black tea liquid extract has a value of 0.34%. The presence of flavonoid compounds which have a value of 472.115 mgQE/g extract indicates antioxidant activity. The combination of black tea liquid extract and lemon water has antioxidant activity. The combination of black tea A: lemon water (1:1) is included in the moderate antioxidant category with an IC50 value of 135.103 ppm and an AAI value of 0.740. The combination of black tea C: lemon water (2:1) gets an IC50 value of 74,742 ppm and an AAI value of 1,337, which is included in the strong antioxidant category. The combination of sample B black tea: lemon water (1:2) got an IC50 value of 105,400 ppm and an AAI value of 0.948, including the moderate antioxidant category. Keywords: Antioxidants, Lime juice, Black tea

Abstract

The development of science has found a way to prevent skin aging in menopausal women. One of the therapies is estrogen replacement therapy (17β estradiol). Skin aging in menopausal women is associated with decreased ERα expression. Leunca fruit (Solanum nigrum L) is known to contain phytoestrogens and has the potential as an antiaging agent. The purpose of this study was to predict the anti-aging effect of Solanum nigrum ethanol extract compounds through the Erα 1A52 [A] activation pathway. The research method of active substance analysis metabolite profiling was carried out by analyzing physicochemical properties using pkCSM. This analysis was carried out as an initial selection of compound safety for therapy. Molecular docking with the MVD (Free trial) application. The RMSD value ≤ 2Å indicates a valid docking and the application can be used. The results of the in silico study showed that the results of metabolite profiling showed that diosgenin was an agonist against ERα. The compound has physicochemical properties according to the Lipinski standard so that it can bind to ERα. The conclusion is that diosgenin has the potential and can act as a 1A52 [A] inhibitor so it can be used as an antiaging agent.

Abstract

Improving public health is a key priority in health development in Indonesia. Health education and health check-ups are interrelated activities and play a crucial role in both promotive and preventive efforts. Health education aims to increase public knowledge, awareness, and healthy living behaviors, while health check-ups serve as early disease detection and risk factor identification. This study aims to improve health in an integrated manner by increasing knowledge and early disease detection among the public in the Jakarta area, especially those visiting the National Monument. The methods used were experimental and lecture methods. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test questionnaires on counseling participants and the results of mass health check-ups. The examination results showed that the majority of visitors suffered from gout and hypertension. Health education for visitors went smoothly. In conclusion, this community service activity went smoothly and was well received by the community.
