Abstract

Purpose: A lot of perspectives have been discussed about Bali and this paper will discuss it from the angle of the learning process of art and culture in the Balinese art studios in Gianyar Regency. Research methods: The research was conducted on the months of July and August 2019. Qualitative data was obtained during the research because the method of data collection was interviewing the owner of the dance studio. Results and discussions: One of the A’s in tourism is attraction and Bali have a strong attraction for tourists both domestic and foreign tourists. The art and culture is the breath of tourism in the island of Bali, which is based on the Hindu religion. The resources for these art and culture are nurtured in several forms, which one of them is through sanggar or studios, which is a non-formal education institution for learning Balinese art and culture. Various types of art and culture and developed and nurtured in these studios, such as performing arts, fine arts, and local wisdoms. The tourism industry has given positive and negative impacts for Balinese art and culture, depends on how one may argue if seen through different perspectives. Performing arts have flourished in terms of daily performances taken places in hotels and designated performance theaters. The types which can be easily watched are the music and dance of Bali. Conclusion: Tourism in this sense is not a direct aspect but, in the future, has a direct impact: providing culture resources for performances in tourism objects and destinations. This as a part of social sustainability, also the sanggars, is a part of the sustainable tourism family

Abstract

Dengan adanya isu-isu mengenai pemanasan global, dan kerusakan lingkungan perusahaan-perusahaan yang inovatif menjadikan green marketing sebagai cara untuk menarik minat konsumen dan publik sebagai strategi pemasaran. Selain sebagai strategi pemasaran perusahaan, konsep green marketing dapat dijadikan perusahaan dalam mendukung pariwisata berkelanjutan atau sustainable tourism, (Panungkelan et al., 2018:1179). Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Data dari penelitian ini diperoleh dengan cara observasi dan wawancara, wawancara dilakukan kepada narasumber yang dianggap paham dan mengetahui lebih detail mengenai permasalah dari penelitian yang dilakukan, sehingga dapat mengumpulkan informasi untuk dilakukan proses reduksi data kemudian verifikasi data untuk dapat menarik kesimpulan mengenai permasalahan yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini. Dari hasil observasi dan wawancara menunjukan bahwa dari 4 (empat) indikator (green poduct, green price, green place, green promotion) dan total 11 (sebelas) subindikator green marketing sudah diterapkan oleh Aruna Senggigi Resort & Convention dan masih ada beberapa kendala-kendala dalam penerapan green marketing. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dari 4 (empat) indikator (green poduct, green price, green place, green promotion) dan total 11 (sebelas) subindikator green marketing sudah diterapkan oleh Aruna Senggigi Resort & Convention. Indikator yang belum diterapkan dengan optimal yaitu green price dengan dan green promotion. Subindikator yang belum diterapkan dengan baik oleh Hotel Aruna Senggigi Resort & Convention yaitu harga sebuah green product lebih mahal dibanding produk konvensional dan untuk subindikator green promotion yang belum diterapkan dengan optimal yaitu promosi dengan mengangkat isu lingkungan. Adapun kendala dalam penerapan green marketing di Hotel Aruna Senggigi Resort & Convention yaitu segmen pasar terbatas, harga yang relative tingg, dan ada beberapa keluhan konsumen mengenai refill air

Abstract

Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel establishing cooperation with several source of reservations such as online travel agents, offline travel agents, free independent travelers (FIT) and groups in increasing volume room sales to win the competition between 5-stars hotels in Kuta. Data obtained through observation, interviews, library research and documentation. Data analysis is performed by quantitative analysis of secondary data, such as tests; partial correlation analysis, multiple correlation analysis, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression test, hypothesis test analysis, multiple determination coefficients, standardized coefficient beta statistical analysis, and effective contribution with the help of SPSS version 23. Based on the results of the analysis, partially there is a significant influence positive and significant between online travel agents for room sales volume with p-value 0.000 <0.05, offline travel agent for room sales volume with p-value 0.000 <0.05, FIT for room sales volume with p-value 0.000 <0.05 and group for volume room sales with p-value 0,000 <0.05. Also, online travel agents, offline travel agents, FIT and groups have a positive and simultaneous effect on room sales volume with p-value 0,000 <0.5 and total value of effective contributions of 99.2%. The most dominant variable is the offline travel agent with an Effective Contribution value of 45.83%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Purpose: This study was conducted to determine the application of SOP (standard operating procedures) in the Housekeeping Department before the Covid-19 pandemic and after being certified CHSE (cleanliness, health, safety, and environmental sustainability at the Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa Hotel, Bali, Indonesia. Research methods: The study uses a qualitative descriptive method using narrative analysis of data sources. The interviews and the informants are addressed were executive housekeepers, housekeeping supervisors, and housekeeping staff at the Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa Hotel. Results and discussion: There was a significant difference between the application of SOP in the Housekeeping Department (room attendant, public area attendant, and laundry station) before the covid-19 pandemic and after being certified CHSE at the Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa Hotel. Implication: There are significant differences in the application of SOP at the Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa Hotel after being certified CHSE in the room. Abstract

ABSTRACT Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the interest of guests in the recreation activities program as a complimentary to guests staying at a 5-star hotel in Ungasan, Bali, Indonesia, and to find out which recreation activities were most in demand by guests at the hotel. Research methods: Data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis technique and descriptive statistics. Results and discussion: The study shows that the TTH (The Tree House) Activities that were most attractive to guests in 2019 were art & craft (5.48%), painting (5.40%), nature painting (4.68%), learning Balinese (4.46%), Balinese dance (4, 46%). The year 2020 is a temple tour (4.77%), hotel tour (4.72%), clay making (4.31%), painting and gardening (4.19% each), and music class (3.91 %). Implication: The guests’ interest in the recreation activities program is very good, which can be seen in the percentage of guests participating in the recreation activities program of 35.8% of the total number of guests at the hotel in 2019 and 2020.
