Abstract

  ABSTRAK Tujuan utama dalam siklus pembelian adalah untuk meminimalkan biaya total memperoleh dan memelihara persediaan, perlengkapan, dan berbagai layanan yang dibutuhkan organisasi untuk berfungsi. Sebagai tambahan, pihak manajemen harus mampu mengawasi dan mengevaluasi efisiensi serta efektivitas proses siklus pembelian , yang membutuhkan kemudian akses ke data terinci mengenai sumber daya yang di gunakan dalam siklus pembelian, kegiatan yang mempengaruhi sumber daya tersebut, serta pelaku yang terlibat dalam kegiatan tersebut. Selanjutnya, agar dapat berguna dan relevan untuk pengambilan keputusan, data harus akurat, andal, dan tepat waktu. Analisa terhadap sistem pengendalian siklus pembelian perlu dilakukan agar dapat mengetahui apakah sistem pengendalian internal yang diterapkan perusahaan sudah cukup baik sehingga tujuan utama dari siklus pembelian dapat tercapai. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang mengarah pada studi kasus. Penelitian ini lebih menggambarkan fenomena atas obyek yang diteliti, dalam hal ini adalah analisis sistem pengendalian internal atas siklus pendapatan yang ada pada The Wing Ed-Hotel. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Setelah itu, fenomena atas obyek dianalisis dan dievaluasi untuk menemukan kemungkinan adanya suatu permasalahan serta memberikan beberapa saran yang mendukung. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi yang telah dilakukan, dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa secara umum pengendalian internal atas siklus pendapatan yang ada sudah cukup efektif. Namun ada beberapa kelemahan dari segi pengendalian organisasional. Hal ini disebabkan karena kondisi keuangan The Wing Ed Hotel yang lemah sehingga perlu dilakukan pengurangan jumlah karyawan yang menyebabkan terjadinya perangkapan jabatan. Saran peneliti, jika kondisi keuangan sudah semakin kuat, diharapkan untuk dilakukan penerimaan karyawan baru lagi, sehingga tidak terjadi perangkapan jabatan yang penting. ABSTRACT  1428 The main objective in the buying cycle is to minimize the total cost of obtaining and maintaining supplies, equipment, and a variety of services that organizations need to function. In addition, the management must be able to monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the buying cycle, which requires then access to detailed data about the resources used in the buying cycle, which affects the activity of these resources, as well as the actors involved in these activities. Furthermore, in order to be useful and relevant to decision-making, the data must be accurate, reliable, and timely. Analysis of the buying cycle control system needs to be done in order to determine whether the internal control system applied by the company is good enough so that the main purpose of the buying cycle can be achieved. Type of research is descriptive research that led to the case study. This study describes the phenomenon on the object under study, in this case is the analysis of the internal control system over existing revenue cycle on The Wing Ed-Hotel. The data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. After that, the phenomenon of objects are analyzed and evaluated to find the possibility of a problem and give some suggestions that support. Based on the evaluation that has been done, it can be concluded that the overall internal control over revenue cycle that is already quite effective. But there are some disadvantages in terms of organizational control. This is due to the financial condition of The Wing Ed Hotel weak so necessary to reduce the number of employees that lead to have a position. Suggestions researchers, if the financial condition is getting stronger, is expected to be acceptance of new employees again, so there is no significant concurrent positions.

Abstract

As an icon of national tourism, Bali has become a world-top tourist destination. In 2018, Bali gained an award from Trip Advisor as the world’s best tourist destination. It has helped Bali to boost the number of foreign tourist arrival including Chinese. However, the increase visitor of Chinese tourist has caused a dilemma between the quantity and quality tourists as it is shown by the current issue of zero-dollar tour. This article critically analyses discourse on Chinese tourist market segment and its challenges to realise tourism sustainable in Bali. Data were obtained by observation and in-depth interviews with stakeholders and from literature review. Discourse of power/knowledge, deconstruction, and communicative action theories were applied eclectically to undertake this study. The results revealed that a space of discussion to find solution for the problem faced on the discourse of Chinese tourist market segment are needed as this could contribute to realise sustainable tourism development in Bali.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to describe the implementation of sustainable development practices at Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali, in pursuing a green hotel. Design/methodology/approach: Methods of data collection used are by conducting depth-in interviews, distrib-uting questionnaires to 95 correspondents with incidental sampling technique, and observation. Data analysis method used is qualitative descriptive analysis through transcribing, coding, describing, and interpreting the data. Findings: Six Senses Uluwatu already implemented the best practices of sustainable de-velopment which including recycling waste paper, minimizing consumption and wastage resources, using a green-car electric vehicle, preventing in using dis-posable goods, using environmentally friendly cleaning chemicals, producing owned bottling plant water, practicing organic farming manner, applying zero-waste packaging, providing local employment, and equal opportunities to women and people of all background. Implications: These practices are aligned with the four key themes of Green Globe Standard including sustainable management, cultural heritage, social/economic, and envi-ronmental. Six Senses Uluwatu is eligible to become a green hotel through the implementation of best practices sustainable development at Six Senses Ulu-watu.

Abstract

Development of the tourism sector in the province of Bali need to be developed in accordance with the conditions, potential and resources owned by each district in Bali. Tourism in fairly rapid growth requires new breakthroughs in anticipation of the saturation that may occur on tourists. Then came the development of tourism opportunities that promote the preservation of the natural environment in order to prevent destruction and/or environmental pollution caused by tourism activities, better known as the " Back to Nature ". Involvement as an alternative tourism attraction will provide an option for international travelers and domestic tourists to enjoy and extend their stay in Bali in particular and Indonesia in general. One of agrotourism development in Bali Bagus Agro Pelaga done by adding, promote or improve the necessary facilities and manage them well so crowded so interesting and beneficial to the government, investors and local communities. Development of the Agro done gradually and in accordance with the concept of development in the area of tourism development does not rule out the required resource sustainability for next generations..

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengujisignifikansi hubungan antar variabel dan mengetahui besarnya pengaruh kompetensi individu mahasiswa dan kedisiplinan pembimbing dengan mutu praktek kerja lapangan. Analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik regresi berganda,korelasi berganda dan koefisien determinasi dengan variable bebas kompetensi individu mahasiswa dan kedisiplinan pembimbing dan variable terikat adalah mutu praktek kerja lapangan. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 30 mahasiswa dengan teknik random sampling. Berdasarkan analisis data dengan alat analisis statistik diketahui bahwa nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,768 , artinya terjadi hubungan yang kuat antara variabel bebas dengan variabel terikat. Koefisien determinasi sebesar 59%, artinya variabel bebas (X1 dan X2) mempengaruhi variabel terikat (Y) dan persamaan regresinya Y= 16.004-0,418X1+ 0,404X2

Abstract

Purpose: This paper aims to describe the fact that how a crisis is managed by implementing the right strategic management in the luxury hotel chain. Research methods: The author in this qualitative method conducted interviews with executive members, owner representatives, and heads of departments who are in the organizational structure of crisis management at the hotel. Findings: The hotel chain head office is very concerned about the credibility aspect of its product; scattered hotels are required to follow all standard operating procedures in overcoming crisis situations. The head office requires hotel owners to have insurance in accordance with international standard criteria which are bound in the agreement of both parties. All employees who are in the crisis management organizational structure are to attend training organized by the head office. The head office requires the hotel to work with local agencies to assist with issues and manage communication crises if they occur. Implication: A structured collaboration synergizing between the head office, hotels, local agencies, and hotel owners in managing the crisis that occurs will result in minimizing material and non-material losses.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the interest of guests in the recreation activities program as a complimentary to guests staying at a 5-star hotel in Ungasan, Bali, Indonesia, and to find out which recreation activities were most in demand by guests at the hotel. Research methods: Data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis technique and descriptive statistics. Results and discussion: The study shows that the TTH (The Tree House) Activities that were most attractive to guests in 2019 were art & craft (5.48%), painting (5.40%), nature painting (4.68%), learning Balinese (4.46%), Balinese dance (4, 46%). The year 2020 is a temple tour (4.77%), hotel tour (4.72%), clay making (4.31%), painting and gardening (4.19% each), and music class (3.91 %). Implication: The guests’ interest in the recreation activities program is very good, which can be seen in the percentage of guests participating in the recreation activities program of 35.8% of the total number of guests at the hotel in 2019 and 2020. Abstract

Human resources are the first elements of an organization. This study aims to find out and analyze the efforts made by the human resource (HR) department in improving the employee performance of JW Marriott Surabaya. This research was conducted to Human Resources, they are Assistant HR and Training Manager and Human Resources Coordinator took using Purposive Sampling technique, which is considered to know the efforts to improve employees’ performance. Data collection techniques by using observation, interviews, documentation, and studies literature. Data analysis in this study uses a qualitative method with technical triangulation analysis. The results showed that performance improvement efforts began with, employee placement, training and development, discipline in employee attendance, and the provision of salaries and compensation to employees but the need for supervision, multiplying variants of methods in training, and acting decisively to employees who are less disciplined to existing regulations.

Abstract

Desa Menanga sebagai salah satu desa yang terletak di jalur wisata di Kecamatan Rendang, Kabupaten Karangasem memiliki potensi sumber daya alam dan manusia yang sangat memadai untuk dikembangan menjadi Desa Wisata. Kondisi kontur tanah Desa Menanga yang memiliki kemiringan dan ketinggian yang beragam, sehingga berdampak pula pada areal persawahan. Hal ini menyebabkan beberapa sisi dari areal persawahan dengan kemiringan cukup terjal, sehingga memberikan pemandangan yang eksotis baik ke arah persawahan maupun ke arah Gunung Agung. Program pengabdian bertujuan untuk memen-uhi komponen- komponen yang diperlukam sebagai desa wisata, yaitu 3A (attractions, amenity dan accommodation). Pada program pengabdian ini, fokus kegiatan adalah pengembangan sumber daya manusia (pelaku wisata) dengan metode pelatihan. Pelatihan dilakukan kepada pemilik warung di sepanjang jalan Desa Adat Batusesa, Desa Menanga dengan topik English for Guiding, teknik presentasi/penyajian kuliner serta promosi produk melalui media sosial. Selain itu, dilakukan pemasangan plang nama penanda area di jalur Desa Adat Batusesa yang diharapkan bisa memberikan penanda bahwa jalur tersebut adalah bagian dari Desa Menanga dan menjadi ikonik bagi Desa Menanga. Hasil yang dicapai adalah adanya peningkatan keterampilan anggota UMKM binaan BUMDes Desa Menanga dalam hal English for Guiding, teknik presentasi kuliner, dan promosi produk melalui media social yang dapat dilihat pada google maps.
