Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) muatan jenis materi; (2) muatan pendekatan saintifik; dan (3) muatan penilaian otentik dalam buku teks Bahasa Indonesia Wahana Pengetahuan Kelas VII Kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif jenis analisis dokumen. Sumber data penelitian adalah buku teks Bahasa Indonesia Wahana Pengetahuan untuk Kelas VII Kurikulum 2013 edisi revisi terbitan Kemendikbud. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik pembacaan dan pencatatan dengan menggunakan instrumen yang telah divalidasi berupa panduan analisis dokumen. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) berdasarkan muatan materi, aspek keterampilan lebih mendominasi daripada aspek sikap dan pengetahuan. Hal ini menunjukkan buku teks tersebut belum memenuhi tuntutan Kurikulum 2013 yang menginginkan adanya keseimbangan antara ketiga aspek tersebut, (2) berdasarkan muatan pendekatan saintifik, muatan langkah mencoba merupakan kegiatan yang paling sering ditemukan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran yang terdapat dalam buku teks. Hal ini menunjukkan  buku teks tersebut meminta siswa untuk lebih aktif dalam proses pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan tuntutan dari Kurikulum 2013, dan (3) berdasarkan muatan penilaian otentik, penilaian keterampilan lebih mendominasi daripada penilaian sikap dan pengetahuan. Penilaian kompetensi sikap belum terpenuhi dengan baik, dengan hanya ditemukannya satu teknik penilaian sikap berupa teknik penilaian diri.KATA KUNCI: materi, pendekatan saintifik, penilaian otentik, Kurikulum 2013.  ABSTRACT: The research aimed to describe: (1) material type content; (2) scientific approach content; and (3) authentic assessment content in the Bahasa Indonesia Wahana Pengetahuan textbook for the 7th grade students with Curriculum of 2013. This research used qualitative descriptive approach with the type of document analysis. The data source in this research was Bahasa Indonesia textbook for the 7th grade students with curriculum of 2013 revised edition published by Kemendikbud. The data of the research was collected by writing and recording with instrument that had been validated. The research data was analyzed by using Miles and Huberman interactive analysis, which included reduction, display, and verivication. The result of the research showed that (1) based on materials content, skills content was more dominating than materials content of attitudes and knowledge. It means that the textbook has not fulfilled the standard of Curriculum 2013 which should have the equilibrium from the three aspects above, (2) based on scientific approach, step content was frequently found in textbook’s learning activities. It means that the textbook ask the students to be active in the learning based on Curriculum of 2013, and  (3) based on authentic assesment content, skills assessment was more dominating than assessment content of attitudes and knowledge. Competence attitudes assessment has not fulfilled well, it was found with the only one technique assessment attitudes that is self assessment technique.KEYWORDS: materials, scientific approach, authentic assessment, Curriculum of 2013.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze hate speech in the comments column of the SCTV YouTube account regarding the Leslar Domestic Violence case. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive design. The data in this study were collected through observation, listening and reading. The results of the study show that social media is an online-based communication tool that can be used to communicate remotely, not only that we can obtain various kinds of information from social media. This is what makes social media share a positive impact on human social life. Hate speech is interpreted as words, behavior and writing carried out by individuals or groups in the form of provocation, incitement, or insults to other individuals or groups. After conducting an analysis and discussion of hate speech that is rife on social media, it was found that most of the hate speech in the form of words or phrases was deliberately used to express the hatred of device users against an individual, none other than artist Risky Bilar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan santri Pondok Pesantren Tahfidz Tunanetra Sam’an Darus Shudur Cimenyak Kabupaten Bandung dalam mencari ayat Al-Quran dengan menggunakan aplikasi Qsoft4dblind. Penelitian ini dilakukan atas dasar kesulitan santri Tahfidz Tunanetra di pondok pesantren Tahfidz Tunanetra Sam’an Darus Shudur dalam melakukan pencarian ayat yang terdapat di dalam Al-qur’an, karena masih menggunakan media konvensional berupa Alqur’anBraille. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model Kurt Lewin. Subjek pada penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah santri tahfidz tunanetra yang berjumlah 6 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan signifikan sebesar 33,3% terhadap kemampuan santri tunanetra dalam mencari dan menemukan ayat Alqur’an. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi qsoft4dblind sebagai bentuk kecanggihan teknologi dapat digunakan untuk membantu anak berkebutuhan khusus disabilitas netra dalam proses pembelajaran Alqur’an. This study aims to improve the ability of blind students at Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School Sam'an Darus Shudur, Cimenyak Bandung, in searching for verses from the Qur’an using the Qsoft4dblind application. This research was conducted based on the inability of blind students in searching surah and verses contained in the Qur’an, because they still use conventional media such as Braille Qur’an. This research is a classroom action research. Class Action Research conducted in this study using the Kurt Lewin model. The subjects in this classroom action research were 6 students with visual impairments. The results of the study showed that there was a significant increase of 33.3% in the ability of blind students to search and find surah and verses of the Qur'an. Based on the results of the resesearch, it shows that the use of the qsoft4dblind application as a form of technological sophistication can be used to help children with special needs with visual impairments in the Al-Qur'an learning process.

Abstract

Writing is one of the most difficult language skills to master compared to the other four aspects of language skills. In the world of education, especially higher education, academic writing is a writing skill that must be mastered by students. This study aims to describe the academic writing competence of undergraduate students at UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi and to find out what factors influence student academic writing competence. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection was carried out by distributing closed questionnaires, document collection, and open interviews. The respondents of this study were 110 final-year students and 10 lecturers in the field of Indonesian science. Research data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis model which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that the academic writing competence of undergraduate students at the final level of UIN Sulthan Saifuddin Jambi was at a good level, with a note that there was a need for improvement in aspects of the content organization such as the ability to describe problems supported by scientific arguments. Two factors affect students' academic writing competence, namely internal and external factors. Internal factors include writing intensity, reading intensity, and self-motivation. While the external factors are academic writing teaching, access to references, and time allocation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis representasi nilai badunsanak dalam budaya Minangkabau melalui film Onde Mande, yang menggambarkan kehidupan masyarakat di sekitar Danau Maninjau. Nilai badunsanak mencerminkan solidaritas sosial, gotong royong, dan musyawarah yang melampaui hubungan darah. Dengan pendekatan semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce, penelitian ini mengkaji elemen visual, audio, dan naratif film menggunakan konsep triadik: representamen, objek, dan interpretant. Metode yang digunakan bersifat kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik observasi mendalam, dokumentasi adegan, dan studi literatur. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa film ini menampilkan badunsanak tidak hanya sebagai simbol budaya, tetapi juga sebagai praktik sosial yang kontekstual dan relevan. Rumah gadang, pakaian adat, bahasa lokal, serta narasi kolektif menjadi tanda kuat dari nilai tersebut. Film Onde Mande berperan sebagai media hiburan sekaligus edukasi budaya, serta memperkaya kajian komunikasi budaya dan semiotika film. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada fokusnya terhadap nilai badunsanak dalam sinema lokal serta penerapan komprehensif teori semiotika Peirce dalam analisis budaya Minangkabau.

Abstract

The ability to make news for a journalist must also be in line with his ability to use language as the main media in journalism. The language used in journalism is called journalistic language. Journalistic language should use good and correct Indonesian language rules in accordance with EYD Revision V. This service activity is aimed at providing writing training and language awareness assistance to the Jambi press student community, especially in the fields of EYD usage, word selection, and sentence effectiveness. This service method uses the ABCD Asset Based Communiy Development approach where this approach is based on existing assets, strengths and potentials that underlie the service objectives by analyzing the problems that arise through community service programs in language awareness assistance. The results of the activity show that language awareness training and coaching can improve the journalistic competence of Jambi young journalists in producing more quality journalistic products.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to describe the types, meanings and strategies of the words taboo in the SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water and the objects in this research are English dialogue and Indonesian subtitles. This research employs descriptive qualitative research. The object of this research is The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. The data of this research are all utterances spoken by nine of characters “SpongeBob, Patrick, Plankton, Mr. Krab, Seagull, Karen, Burger Beard, Sandy and Squidward”. The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water contains taboo word. The data are classified from taboo words according to Battistella theory. The meaning by using Abdul Chaer theory. Then, the strategies of translation by using Mona Baker theory. The findings of research shows that there are four types of taboo words, consisting of; 1 data of obscenity, 8 data of epithets, 2 data of vulgarity, 3 data of profanity and also the writer found that epithets data is more dominantly used by nine characters. Furthermore, there are two taboo meanings found, contextual 8 data, connotative 6 and contextual data which is more dominantly used in the movie. Finally, there are three strategies of translation found; translation by more general words 9 data, translation by cultural substitution 3 data, translation by neutral words 2 data and translation by more general words which is more dominantly used in the SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.

Abstract

The aims of this research are: (1) To find out the types of persuasive strategies are used by Greta Thunberg in her speeches with theme climate change, (2) To describe persuasive strategies are applied by Greta Thunberg in her speeches with theme climate change. By using qualitative method, the researcher felt easy to analyze the speech and the researcher will have right answer about the question. The writer used documentation technique for collecting data. The writer used content analysis for technique of analysis. The writer found three persuasive strategies that used by Greta Thundberg Speech During Campaign With Theme Climate Change. There are : forensic rhetoric, demonstrative rhetoric, deliberative rhetoric. There are 4 forensic rhetoric , 4 demonstrative rhetoric, 11 deliberative rhetoric. The writer found all of ways that used by Greta Thundberg Speech During Campaign With Theme Climate Change. There are : Appeal to Emotion, showing evidences, personal character of the speaker. There are 5 Appeal to Emotions(ethos), 9 showing evidences(logos), 7 personal characters of the speaker.

Abstract

Racism is always an interesting topic to debate and from the movie A United Kingdom by Amma Asante. The researcher wants to feeling the racism issues and impact of racism, and to feeling the racism that faced in the main character of Seretse Khama. The researcher used qualitative descriptive method. It is suitable for this research because when people analyze it, there are many interpretations and perceptions, and the qualitative method can bind the whole differences of interpretation and perception. The researcher took the data from the dialogues that contains racism which was taken from the script and movie. There are three issues of racism. First, discrimination the act of racism is the negative treatment from white people to black people. Second, prejudice was given by white people to people of their color for no reasons. The third, segregation was given by white people to black people by a great separation between whites and blacks. three impact of racism that experienced by main character Seretse Khama. Those are: Grief, rage, and humiliation.

Abstract

This research discusses metaphor used in politics articles in the Jakarta Post online newspaper during pandemic covid-19 era. The aim of this research is to find the kind of metaphor and conceptual meaning of metaphor. The methodology used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Sources of data iin ithis istudy iare iarticles iin i iThe iJakarta iPost ionline inewspaper, iespecially ipolitical iarticles. iData icollection iwas icarried out iby itaking iseveral iarticles ion iPolitics iin ithe iCovid-19 iPandemic iEra. This research using George Lakoof and Mark Jhonson theory for analyze kinds of metaphors, while analyzing the meaning of metaphor using Zoltan Covesces theory. The result of this research is 25 data containing all kinds of metaphor which are five data of orientational metaphor, five data of ontological metaphor, and fifteen data of structural metaphor. The meaning of metaphor is conceptual meaning, namely interpreting imetaphors iusing ithe isource iand itarget idomains, whie the most dominant metaphor is structural metaphors.
