Abstract

Although service industries are invisible compared to manufacture, the global economy becomes more service oriented. The main characteristic of service feature is their production and sales occur simultaneously. It is quite difficult to measure service performance. However, the service quality of hospital service is considered to be an important topic of service management. IGD Dental and Medical service “X” in Surabaya is one of the hospital which provides Dental and Oral health in particular. This paper aims to identify the importance and performance of “X” Dental and Oral hospital which two methods (SERVQUAL and IPA) are able to explain significant amount of service quality.At the same time, the service quality factors of IPA model had more comprehensive consideration in comparison to SERVQUAL. SERVQUAL has five dimensions named Tangible, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Emphaty . The research involving 70 participants. and the result is several dimensions of Importance Performance Analysis were proposed to improve service quality.Performance Analysis is important to improve the quality of services, such as by providing more complete and sophisticated medical facilities and equipment.

Abstract

Global staffing is an important aspect of the human resource management, and international assignments play vital role for expanding and building global skills. Many factors affecting the success of international assignments, cross-cultural adjustment received the most attention from researchers. International experiences of expatriate can influence expatriate adjustment because expatriate’s international experience involves living, thinking and learning new set of business practice in foreign business environment. This study focused on international experiences and mentoring behavior on expatriates adjustment. Firstly, this study explored international experiences and mentoring behavior on expatriate adjustment. Secondly, this study explored expatriate adjustment on job performance. The results of this study explained that international experiences and mentoring behavior has positive influence on expatriate adjustment and expatriate adjustment has positive relationship on job performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of Lean Production implementation in Kopi Pak Tani. Waste and a big map of the production process originated from Kopi Pak Tani will be used as data. While the big map of the production process is obtained by observation. The background of this research is to achieve a competitive advantage in the production process in order to compete with other competitors. This research applies the qualitative method which consists of 2 different ways for gaining data. First, data obtained by the interview process will proceed to the data reduction method, data presentation method, and conclusion determination method. Second, data from observation will through VALSAT Process Activity Mapping Analysis. The results of this study will become a guideline to implement a lean business process by looking at the mapping analysis of process activity. Furthermore, from this study, the discovered wastes are in lead time, inventory, defect, and transportation.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of information quality and service quality on the organizational impact of implementing information systems at PT Terminal Teluk Lamong. PT Teluk Lamong terminal is the first terminal port in Indonesia that uses a semi-automated concept, so research on this information system is important to do. This study uses a test tool in the form of Smart PLS to see the results of the outer model and the inner model, which in turn will produce relationships between variables. Supply chain management significantly and positively mediates between quality system, information quality, service quality, and organizational impact. Data is collected by distributing questionnaires to all company employees. Of the total 260 employees, only 101 employees of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong participated in filling out the questionnaire given. The participants represented a total of 9 departments in the company. The results found in this research are that there is a significant relationship between the information quality and service quality variables on organizational impact. This research will be used as an evaluation material for the management of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong to update on the implementation of the company's information system.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada UMKM Nanda Beton yang merupakan industri pengolahan bahan dasar bangunan berupa hiasan beton jenis roster. Tujuan penelitian ini antara lain untuk mengetahui sumber kecacatan pada produk hiasan beton roster dengan menggunakan metode Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) dan Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), dan untuk memberikan usulan perbaikan kepada UMKM Nanda Beton. Analisis produk defect pada hiasan beton roster dilakukan dengan menggunakan dua metode analisis yaitu FTA adalah pendekatan analisis kegagalan untuk mengetahui sumber kegagalan pada proses produksi dengan mencari top event kemudian menyusunnya ke dalam pohon kesalahan dan FMEA yang merupakan teknik analisis untuk identifikasi potensi penyebab kegagalan dengan melakukan penilaian untuk memperoleh Risk Priority Number (RPN) yang selanjutnya dilakukan usulan perbaikan. Kedua metode ini digabungkan untuk memperoleh hasil analisis yang lebih baik. Data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga proses produksi yang memiliki jumlah produk gagal (defect) di atas batas toleransi 1% per fungsi produksi, antara lain proses pelepasan cetakan dengan jumlah defect terbanyak sebesar 2,14% dari setiap produksi, proses pencetakan sebanyak 1,77% dari setiap produksi, dan proses pemadatan beton sebesar 1,48% dari setiap produksi. Pada proses produksi terdapat faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya kecacatan produk seperti faktor human error maupun faktor alat. Sehingga dilakukan usulan perbaikan berupa pengawasan dan pengecekan secara berkala, penerapan standarisasi terhadap setiap proses produksi dan melakukan pelatihan pekerja serta pemeliharaan terhadap alat produksi untuk menghasilkan produk kualitas baik bebas cacat (defect). Kata kunci: defect, FTA, FMEA ABSTRACT This research was conducted on “Nanda Beton” MSME a building materials processing industry in form of rooster concrete decoration. The purpose of the research is to know the source of a defect in the rooster concrete decoration use Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) methods and also to provide improvement suggestions to “Nanda Beton” MSME. The analysis of defect product in rooster concrete decoration was done using two analysis methods, namely FTA is a fault analysis to identify the source of failure in the production process by looking for the top event, and then arrange it into a fault tree. FMEA is an analytical technique for identifying potential causes of failure by conducting an assessment to get a Risk Priority Number (RPN) then make further improvement suggestions. Both of the methods are combined to get a better analysis result. The data showed that there are three production processes have the number of defect product above the tolerance limit 1% each production function, including the mould release process with the most number of defects 2.14% of each production, the moulding process 1.77% of each production and the concrete compaction process 1.48% of each production. Production process has the factors that influence the occurrence of product defects in each production such as human error factor and equipment factors. So, improvement suggestions needed, there are made the regular supervision and checking periodically, standardization of each production process, conducting worker training and maintenance of the production equipment to produce a good quality product without any defects. Keywords: defect, FTA, FMEA

Abstract

Rumah sakit memiliki kewajiban untuk terus berbenah dan belajar dari kesalahan. Tak hanya hidup dan mati yang dipertaruhkan setiap harinya, namun juga sistem operasional yang terkait dengan eror, masalah, maupun kesempatan belajar lainnya dalam upaya memberikan pelayanan terbaik. Sebelumnya, rumah sakit hanya bergantung pada tenaga kesehatan ahli, dengan sedikit pertimbangan pada kegagalan dari sisi operasional dan organisasi yang terjadi selama proses penyampaian layanan kesehatan. Hal tersebut memicu munculnyaberagam wasteyang menjadi penyebab menurunnya kualitas sehinggaleanhealthcare dihadirkan. Penelitian ini berfokus padaidentifikasiwaste pada unit layanan spesialis kandungan rumah sakit X dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Value Stream Mapping (VSM) dan metode 5 why’s digunakan sebagai alat dalam analisa leanhealthcareyang dilakukan. Hasilnya, terdapat sekitar 87 persen aktivitas masuk ke dalam kategori tidak bernilai tambah dengan pemborosan terbesar adalah pada proses yang terus berulang (overprocessing) dengan bobot 3.5 dan terkecil pada pergerakan (motion) yang tidak perlu sebesar 1.5. Process activity mapping dipilih menjadi tools untuk analisa detailed mapping. Sedangkan analisa 5 why’s digunakan untuk mengetahui akar penyebab dari pemborosan yang terjadi, sehingga pengembangan perbaikan sistem dapat dilakukan.

Abstract

Dental is one of the polyclinics whose biggest problems are waiting times and patient queues. The waiting time and patient queues are a waste in Hospitals. This study aims to identify any waste that occurs in the dental polyclinic at the Airlangga University Health Service Center (PLK) by implementing lean healthcare. Then, provide suggestions for improvements to reduce or eliminate the identified waste. The researcher used a qualitative approach with the results of the big-picture mapping to illustrate the flow of patient care in the dental clinic and determined which activities were value-added (VA) and which were not value-added (NVA). Interviews and questionnaires were distributed in this study to parties who have a role in the service delivery process to patients, namely the dental clinic coordinator, dentist, dental nurse, and service admin. The study's results found 7 value-added activities and 4 non-value-added activities. Then, the researcher used VALSAT to choose the right tools and process activity mapping with the highest score. The results of the waste identification show the weight of waste overproduction at 0.21, waiting at 0.33, transportation at 0.12, inappropriate process at 0.05, unnecessary inventory at 0.12, unnecessary motion at 0.07, and defect at 0.10. Then, a fishbone diagram is used to find the root cause of the waste, and then lean hospital to propose improvements to reduce or eliminate waste in PLK.

Abstract

Pada jenis obat Analgesic yaitu obat anti nyeri pada Apotek Widya Farma Surabaya terdapat keadaan persediaan yang menumpuk dan kadang terjadi kekosongan dalam persediaan. Bedasarkan data dari Apotek Widya Farma obat Analgesic sering digunakan atau cepat terjual karena tingginya permintaan. Hal itu dapat menimbulkan kerugian dalam biaya yang dikeluarkan untuk memesan persediaan, biaya penyimpanan dan menyebabkan ditemukannya obat yang kadaluwarsa. Penggunaan Metodo Economic Order Quantity untuk menyeimbangkan biaya pemeliharaan persediaan dengan biaya pemesanan dan Metode Minimum Maximum Stock Level menentukan stok yang optimum dan mengelola stok berdasarkan ketersediaan komponen pada level mimimum dan maksimum atau tidak boleh kekurangan atau melebihi dari stok. Perhitungan dengan metode EOQ dan MMSL untuk mendapatkan solusi dari permasalahan tersebut. Diharapkan dengan melakukan aktivitas pengendalian dengan beberapa metode tersebut mendapat solusi dari permasalahan untuk meningkatkan pengendalian pesediaan obat Analgesic mampu menyediakan dengan jumlah dan waktu yang tepat dan harapan pengelolaan persediaan pada Apotek Widya Farma dapat lebih baik dan benar.

Abstract

This research aims to identify external factors that influence purchase intention in the use of social media for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in emerging markets, focusing on how user attitudes towards social media marketing strategies can influence consumer intentions to purchase MSME products. Quantitative approach is used with an explanatory research type, by collecting survey data from 413 social media users who engage with MSME products in East Java, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to determine the significance of each factor. The results show that interactivity, informativeness, word of mouth (WOM), personalization, trendiness, entertainment, usefulness, and flow experience significantly positively affect Purchase Intention. Conversely, Irritation has a negative effect. User attitude towards social media is an important mediating factor that strengthens the influence of these variables on purchase intention, suggesting that positive experiences on social media can increase consumers' likelihood of purchase. Limitation of this study is conducted only within specific geographical area (East Java), which may affect the generalizability of the results. Further research can be conducted with a broader sample to validate these findings in other regions and markets. This research provides insights into the role of social media attributes and user experience in driving Purchase Intention in the MSME sector in emerging markets. It highlights the importance of positive user attitudes, thus filling the research gap regarding the impact of social media on consumer behavior in the context of MSMEs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi yang efektif dan efisien untuk pengembangan bisnis Bebys Coffee. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dengan penyebaran kuesioner kepada 6 responden yang bergerak di bidang industri kopi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan konsumen yakni pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Pengujian rumusan masalah menggunakan metode analisis SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat) dengan Neutrosophic Analytic Hierarchy Process (NAHP). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan perumusan strategi pengembangan bisnis Kopi Bebys berupa strategi keunggulan komparatif (SO) dengan perluasan merek; strategi investasi (WO) in-store dan infrastruktur pemasaran; strategi mobilisasi (ST) di ceruk pasar dengan diferensiasi produk linier dan strategi pengendalian kerusakan (WT) dengan strategi perang harga untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan menutupi biaya operasional. Keterbatasan penelitian ini adalah penelitian ini hanya bersifat deskriptif dan kualitatif yang menitikberatkan pada pengembangan strategi manajemen yang komprehensif dan tidak mengembangkan strategi manajemen yang lebih detail pada hal-hal teknis. Sehingga Bebys Coffee memerlukan analisis SWOT menggunakan Neutrosophic AHP untuk menangkap peluang dari tingginya permintaan minuman kopi dan menghadapi ancaman pesaing yang memiliki merek kuat dan toko yang lebih nyaman.
