Abstract

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is the growth of non-malignant cells or hyperplasia of prostate tissue which causes LUTS in men. One system to assess the symptoms of obstruction due to prostate enlargement is the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS). Prostate volume is performed to check the progress of BOO (Bladder Outlet Obstruction) using Transabdominal Ultrasound. This research is an analytical observational study with a prospective cohort method. The sample selection in this research applied consecutive sampling techniques using predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The number of samples used was 30 patients in the period between November 2022 and April 2023. The results showed that the prostate volume in grade II was 46.7%, while for grade I was 33.3% and grade III was 20%. For the results of the IPSS, the moderate category was 76.7%, with mild and severe IPSS scores are 10% and 13.3%. The Spearman test results showed that the p-value was 0.006 <0.05, the value of r = 0.486, and the correlation coefficient was positive, which means that there is a fairly strong relationship between prostate volume and IPSS score in BPH patients at the Siti Khodijah Muhammadiyah Cabang Sepanjang Hospital.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Low Back Pain (LBP) is one of the most common pain complaints in daily life, with significant impacts on patients' quality of life. This study aims to analyze the correlation between pain severity, as measured by the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), and lumbosacral radiographic findings in LBP patients at Siti Khodijah Sepanjang Hospital. This observational-analytical study used a cross-sectional design. A total of 45 patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria and had undergone a lumbosacral X-ray (AP/lateral) within the last 3 months were included in the sample. Pain severity was measured using the NRS questionnaire, and lumbosacral radiology findings were evaluated for muscle spasms, spondylolisthesis, osteophytes, intervertebral disc (IVD) narrowing, and compression fractures. The analysis revealed that 84.4% of patients experienced moderate pain. Regarding lumbosacral radiology abnormalities, 62.2% were classified as moderate in severity. Osteophyte formation was the most prevalent radiology finding, present in 86.7% of cases. Spearman's correlation test showed a significant correlation between pain severity and lumbosacral radiology findings (p = 0.00 < 0.05). The analysis demonstrated a strong, statistically significant positive correlation between radiology findings and pain severity (r = 0.62). These findings suggest that pain severity may serve as an indicator of the severity of lumbosacral radiological conditions in patients with low back pain and could be used as an adjunct in clinical evaluation and management strategies.

Abstract

AbstracCovid-19 is a new viral infectious disease. The first appeared in Wuhan and became apandemic in 2 months. Clinical diagnosis is confirmed by fever, cough, shortness of breath, combined with lymphocyte neutrophil ratio examination and radiology imaging with chest Xray or chest C.T. with a ground-glass appearance. C.T. scans are not widely available inIndonesia hospital. Many hospitals only own X-Ray as radiologic diagnostic imaging for covid-19. Adobe Photoshop Express with digital imaging capabilities can improve the ability todiagnose Covid-19 from chest X-Ray because of software similarity like the radiologicworkstationKeyword: photoshop, covid-19, thorax plain x-ray, diagnosis, image

Abstract

Osteoarthritis is a disorder that attacks the cartilage of the joints so that they are thinned and sometimes accompanied with mild inflammation (Sylvia A.Price, 2006). In 2019 the incident of osteoarthritis cases at the Siti Khodijah Muhammadiyah Sepanjang Hospital was 6571 patients. Therefore, osteoarthritis is the 3rd common disease after LBP and COPD. Obesity in one of the causes that can increased risk of osteoarthritis. especially those can affect the body’s weight support joints such as the knee. Body mass index calculations are used to classify overweight in adults. To determine is there a corelation between body mass index and severity degree of knee osteoarthritis based on plain radiographs according to the Kellgren-Lawrence grading scale in patients at Siti Khodijah Muhammadiyah Sepanjang Hospital. This study used a cross-sectional design with consecutive sampling technique on 49 knee osteoarthritis patients at Siti Khodijah Muhammadiyah Sepanjang Hospital. The data that used in this study is patient’s medical record. From the severity of osteoarthritis in 49 respondents, the results were grade I as much as 13 (26,5%), grade II as much as 11 (22, 4%), grade III as much as 14 (28, 6%), and grade IV as much as 11(22, 4%) respondents. Whereas on the body mass index, the results were thin (≤17,0-18,4) as much as 2 (4,1%), normal (18,5-25,0) as much as 24 (49%), obesity (25,1-27,0) as much as 12 (24,5%), and severe obesity (>27,0) as much as 11 (22,4%) respondents. The result of statistical test using the Spearman test obtained a significance value (p): 0.578 (p>0.05).
