Abstract

The rapid growth of social commerce has transformed consumer purchasing behavior, particularly in the skincare industry, where purchase decisions are shaped by multiple digital marketing factors. This study examined the effects of brand image, influencer marketing, online customer reviews, and scarcity marketing on consumers’ purchase decisions for Skintific products through TikTok. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed, involving 100 respondents who had purchased Skintific products through TikTok and were selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics. The findings revealed that brand image and online customer reviews had positive and statistically significant effects on purchase decisions, whereas influencer marketing and scarcity marketing had no significant effects. These results indicate that consumers place greater emphasis on brand credibility and authentic customer experiences than on influencer-based and scarcity-oriented promotional strategies when purchasing skincare products through social commerce. This study contributes empirical evidence regarding the differential effects of digital marketing factors on consumer decision-making and provides practical implications for companies seeking to strengthen their brand image and optimize customer reviews as strategic instruments for increasing purchase decisions in social commerce environments.

Abstract

The success of the national cashless action will occur if all levels of society are familiar with and interested in using it, especially at the most basic level, thats a traditional-markets. The theory used to explain is the unified theory of acceptance and use technology (UTAUT). UTAUT is more appropriate to use because it can explain the use of digital payments voluntary and mandatory. The population in this study were merchant in the Pasar Manis Purwokerto, totalling 512 merchants. The minimum research sample based on Isaac and Michael was obtained as many as 220 respondents, while the data processed were 222 respondents. Data were analysed using multiple linear regression. The results of this study can only prove that performance expectancy has a significant positive effect and social influence has a significant negative effect on the intention to use digital payments. These results illustrate that traditional market traders are still in the ‘early adopter’ stage in accordance with one of the supporting theories of UTAUT, namely the technology acceptance model (TAM). Social influence has a negative effect coming from buyers and people around traders not forcing them to use the digital payment.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the factors affecting the investment interest of part-time students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Wijayakusuma University, Purwokerto. A total of 177 respondents were selected using the snowball sampling technique, and the data were analyzed through multiple linear regression with the step-wise method, utilizing Jamovi software. The findings indicate that both financial literacy and financial behavior have a significant positive impact on investment interest, with a significance level of 1%. In contrast, the income variable does not show a significant effect on investment interest. Three regression models were evaluated, all of which demonstrated a strong goodness of fit. The model with the best explanatory power reveals that students' investment interest is primarily influenced by their financial literacy and behavior, rather than their income. These results highlight the need for enhancing financial literacy and behavior through formal education and training programs, in order to boost investment interest among students.
