Abstract

This study aims to determine the comparison of wage system emping craftsmen's income with independent businesses in Peukan Baro District, Pidie Regency. This research was conducted in Peukan Baro District, Pidie Regency, from March to May 2022. Most of the Pidie people use melinjo chips as a business, especially Peukan Baro District. All empng melinjo craftsmen are housewives who work to help the family's economy. Based on the criteria, emping craftsmen are divided into two systems, namely the wage system and the independent business system. From the two business systems, the problem is the comparison of the average income of emping craftsmen with the wage system and independent businesses. The samples of this study were 40 respondents using the wage system for chips craftsmen and 40 respondents using the self-employment system. The method in this study uses a quantitative descriptive analysis. Acceptance of emping craftsmen with a wage system of Rp. 318,500/week with a total production cost of Rp. 19,137/week. In the independent business system, the acceptance of chips craftsmen is Rp. 679,350/week and a production cost of Rp. 491,487/week. The results of the study show that there is a difference in the average income of wage system emping craftsmen and independent businesses. This can be seen from the results of the wage system emping craftsmen's income, which is Rp. 299,363/week, while in the independent business system the income is Rp. 187,863/week. It can be concluded that the income of emping craftsmen using the wage system is more profitable than the independent business system in Peukan Baro District, Pidie Regency. To see a significant difference, a table test was performed using SPSS V.21. Based on the results of the independent sample test output table test, it is known that there is a difference in the average income of wage system emping craftsmen with independent businesses seen from the Sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.00. This means that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) smaller than 0.05. This means that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) smaller than 0.05. This means that the value of Sig. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the cost and income of jengkol farming in Manggeng District and to know the factors that influence it. The number of samples was 30 people who were jengkol farmers in Padang Village, Manggeng District. Results (t-test analysis at level α = 0.05%) the cost of pesticides and workers' wages are socio-economic variables that have a significant effect on the income level of jengkol farmers. The variables of education level (X1), farming experience (X2), amount of production (X3) and fertilizing costs (X4) did not have a significant effect on the level of income of jengkol farmers in Padang Village, Manggeng District. With the value of the coefficient of determination (R2) obtained, which is equal to 0.648, it means that 64.8% of the income of jengkol farmers is influenced by the variable level of education (X1), farming experience (X2), total production (X3) fertilizer costs (X4) pesticide costs (X5) and labor wages (X6). While 37.2% is influenced by variables outside the model in this study.

Abstract

This study analyzes the financial feasibility of the Manggeng Peanut business at UD. Manggeng Food in Southwest Aceh Regency. This agro-industrial MSME plays a strategic role in driving the local economy, but faces challenges from fluctuating raw material prices and supplies that impact cash flow instability. This quantitative descriptive study uses primary and secondary data from production activities in 2024 to evaluate the profitability and feasibility of the business. The analysis results show that this business is profitable with revenue of Rp. 195,437,334. The Revenue Cost (R/C) Ratio of 1.30 indicates business feasibility, where every Rp. 1,000 expenditure generates IDR . 1,300 in revenue. The Break Even Point (BEP) analysis supports these findings, showing that the actual selling volume and price of all product variants far exceed the break-even point, with the highest profit margin in the 1.3 kg package. It is concluded that the Manggeng Peanut business at UD. Manggeng Food is not only financially viable but also has a resilient financial foundation and profitable prospects for further development, despite the volatility of raw materials.
