Abstract

The era of globalization is marked by changes and rapid developments that occur in various fields of life, one of which is in the field of education. This situation becomes a challenge for educators to always develop their abilities. This critical thinking skill becomes important to be appointed and trained in biology learning. Through this research, the aim is to analyze students' critical thinking skills using a blended learning model assisted by nearpod media on ecosystem materials. This study uses a quantitative approach which used method is a quasi-experimental method. The technique for collecting research data is through a description test of ten questions given during the pretest-posttest. Based on the data obtained during the study, it can be concluded thatthe results of critical thinking skills assisted by nearpod media got an average pretest of 55.53 which increased to 78.25 with an N-Gain value of 0.46 medium criteria. Students with critical thinking skills in the high category were 28 students, the medium category was 3 students, and the low category was 2 students.

Abstract

Abstract

Professionalism has an important role to play in creating an effective learning environment and improving student achievement. In this context, multiple intelligences and student learning independence are considered as factors that have the potential to influence teacher professionalism. However, research on the relationship between multiple intelligences and student learning independence and science teacher professionalism is still limited, especially at the secondary education level. This study aims to analyze the relationship between multiple intelligences and student learning independence on science teacher professionalism. This study used a quantitative design using multiple intelligence assessment instruments and student learning independence, as well as science teacher professionalism assessment instruments. The research sample consisted of 62 science teachers and students at several secondary schools in Subang Regency. The results show that there is a negative correlation (-0.208) on the multiple intelligences variable and there is a positive correlation (+0.132) on the learning independence variable. The results of the F test show a significance value of 0.411 > 0.05 so there is no relationship between the two variables on the professionalism of science teachers. Teachers need to understand the diversity of students' intelligence and encourage their independent learning. The implication of this research is the importance of developing training programs for science teachers in integrating appropriate approaches to improve professionalism and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

In the ever-evolving world of education, an in-depth understanding of the learning process is essential. Lecture methods that tend to be monotonous often reduce students' motivation to learn, which in turn has an impact on decreasing learning outcomes, especially in plant material. Project-based learning has emerged as an alternative to increase students' interest in learning. This study aims to instill halal literacy awareness while influencing interest in purchasing halal products through a project-based learning approach on plantae material. A quantitative approach with a targeted survey design was used in this study. Thus, we used the purposive sampling technique to define 28 students as respondents. Data were collected through a questionnaire with a Likert scale (1-4). The analysis results show that the student awareness variable (X1) has a negative correlation with halal literacy project-based learning. Through multiple linear regression analysis, no symptoms of multicollinearity or heteroscedasticity were found. Halal literacy project-based learning contributed 30.8% to increasing students' awareness and interest in purchasing halal products. Thus, project-based learning is proven effective in increasing students' interest in learning, especially in plantae material.
