Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of internal and external factors on stock returns in destroying the food and beverage industry listed on the IDX from 2011 to 2021. The sample in this study used a purposive sampling technique or was based on specific criteria with 12 companies. This research data is panel data, namely a combination of times series and cross-section data, which is tested statistically using Stata. Three data analyses are used: model estimation test, model selection, and static panel regression model estimation results with the criterion of a P value < 0.05, so there is a significant influence between the independent and dependent variables. The research results prove that the best model chosen is the CEM model. The research results demonstrated that the variables ROE (P Value: 0.543 > 0.05), DER (P Value: 0.491 > 0.05), interest rates (P Value: 0.373 > 0.05), and inflation (P Value: 0.165 > 0.05) statistically does not affect stock returns. However, the exchange rate variable (P Value: 0.005 < 0.05) significantly impacts stock returns. The research results also prove that ROE, DER, interest rates, exchange rates, and inflation can explain stock returns of 12.30%. In comparison, the remaining 87.70% is influenced by other variables not included in the research.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of venture capital assistance from LazisMu, entrepreneurial orientation, and digital transformation on the performance of Micro Small Enterprises (SMEs) in Karanganyar Regency. A quantitative approach was used by collecting data from 122 SME respondents who received assistance from LazisMu and have adopted digitalization in the marketing of their products. The data was analyzed using the Smart PLS method to test the relationship between variables. The results showed that business capital assistance from LazisMu has a significant effect on SME performance. However, entrepreneurial orientation has no significant effect. In contrast, digital transformation has a significant impact by improving the operational efficiency and business strategy of SMEs, helping them compete more effectively in a competitive market. This research provides important insights for LazisMu policies and similar institutions to support SMEs more effectively with follow-up research and qualitative approaches to understand more deeply the influence factors.

Abstract

Outdoor learning has become a relevant learning method to enrich students' learning experience in biology. Botanical gardens, as places that reflect biodiversity, offer unique potential for integrating outdoor learning. This study aims to describe students' perceptions of outdoor learning that has been carried out in the botanical garden as well as the potential and barriers. This research method is a case study. Data collection techniques were questionnaires, structured and semi-structured interviews. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling with a sample of 32 class x students at one of the high schools in Bandung. Responses were expressed in perception numeric index to quantitatively reveal the perceptions of grade 10 students towards the outdoor learning experience that has been carried out. The results revealed that out of 32 respondents, most students showed positive perceptions towards outdoor learning in the botanical garden with a mean index = 55.23 (range 42.5-65.0) with standard deviation (sd) = 6.0. This perspective is influenced by the potential and obstacles in the implementation of outdoor learning conducted in botanical gardens. The implications of this study open up opportunities to design learning strategies that are more effective and can be applied by teachers in organizing biology learning at the high school level.

Abstract

Jati Utama Nusantara (JUN) is one type of growing regime of fast grown teak (Tectona grandis Linn. F) derivedfrom Jati Plus Perhutani (JPP). JUN trees have fewer branches and a more cylindrical-shaped trunk, as well asexhibit rapid growth compared to the teak cultivated from seed (conventional); accordingly, they can beharvested in a shorter time. Despite its fast growth, some studies showed that the wood had not met the SNI01-0608 standard as raw material for furniture. The research aimed to improve several physical and mechanicalproperties of young JUN wood through thermal compression treatment. The test sample for 5-year-old JUNwood was prepared with a size of 2.5 cm (thickness/radial) by 10 cm (width/tangential) by 30 cm(length/longitudinal), then compressed using a 25 kg/cm2-pressure for 40 minutes in three temperaturetreatments of 170°C, 180°C, and 190°C. Testing of wood mechanical and physical properties referred to ASTMD143. The wood crystallinity was observed using an X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD), and the wood surface wasobserved visually. Wood cell structure as supporting data was observed using a stereo-capable microscope(Zeiss). The results revealed that the thermal compression could improve the physical and mechanicalproperties of the densified JUN samples compared to the nonthermally compressed samples. Based on datasimulation, the wood samples' best physical and mechanical properties occurred at approximately 185°C's heatpress.

Abstract

Bark extracts of nine plant species from Lore Lindu National Park (NP) had been studied for the antioxidant potential and their cytotoxic effects. The antioxidant activity was tested by determining the peroxidevalue (POV) using the iodometric method. The toxicity test was done by counting the death of shrimp larva (Artemia salina) using Brine Schrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) method. The test results showed three bioactive components (saponin, flavonoid, and polyphenol) were mostly obtained fromthe 3 plant species that have low POV, namely Dysoxylum gaudichaudianum, Gardenia augusta, and Nauclea orientalis. The most striking of cytotoxic effects (LC50< 200 μg/ml) were found from Koordersiodendron pinnatum (170.86 μg/ml), Nauclea orientalis (182.89 μg/ml), and Kleinhovia hospita (191.35 μg/ml) extracts.
