Abstract

This research is based on the phenomenon that found in school, there are many students who carry out academic procrastination. This study examines the correlation about achievement motivation and academic procrastination behavior in students. Correlational design is a type of research that is used, collecting data from 270 students using with questionnaire. Finally will be seen an overview of the level of achievement motivation and academic procrastination, and the relationship of both.

Abstract

Academic procrastination is one of the many phenomena experienced by students. It has become a serious issue at the senior high school level. The purpose of this study is to describe the differences in students' academic procrastination levels based on gender and school type, namely regular schools and boarding schools. This study used a quantitative method with a comparative descriptive approach. 150 students in senior high school and vocational school became the research sample. Data were collected by Academic Procrastination Scale. Data analyzed used ANAVA. The results showed that (1) there is a significant difference in students' academic procrastination in terms of gender, (2) there is a significant difference in students' academic procrastination in terms of regular school and boarding school, (3) there is no interaction of academic procrastination in terms of gender and school type. This means that the interaction between gender and school type does not determine students' academic procrastination. Teachers and counselor have a big responsibility to help students get out of the problem of academic procrastination with counseling services.

Abstract

Counseling services that are effective and on target are needed by counselors. Ideally, counselors should have insight, and skills in implementing creative and innovative counseling techniques. There are still counselors who have minimal knowledge and skills regarding counseling techniques. One of them is the assertiveness training technique in the group format, which is one of the recommended behavior counseling techniques to improve individual interpersonal competence. The steps for implementing assertiveness training are (1) rational strategy, (2) identification of situations that cause problems, (3) exploration, (4) role-playing, giving feedback, and better behavioral models. (5) carry out exercises and practice, (6) repeat the exercises, (7) do homework and follow-up, and (8) terminate. This implementation shows that group format assertiveness training can be implemented in counseling services to alleviate problems and improve individual interpersonal skills. Therefore, counselors are expected to improve their skills and apply group format assertiveness training in counseling services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze research trends related to problematic behavior in children from broken homes using the library research method. Problematic behaviors in children, such as aggression, juvenile delinquency, and emotional difficulties, are often associated with dysfunctional family dynamics, particularly in the context of broken homes. Through a literature review, this research identifies patterns, causative factors, and impacts of such problematic behaviors, as well as intervention approaches proposed in previous studies. The analysis reveals that factors such as lack of parental care, family conflict, and emotional instability are the primary triggers of problematic behavior in children. Additionally, this study highlights a growing academic interest in psychological and educational approaches to addressing this issue. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of further research and serve as a reference for practitioners in designing effective interventions for children from broken homes.

Abstract

Fenomena sosial berupa kenakalan pada remaja semakin meningkat dan menjadi perhatian penting dalam berbagai bidang kehidupan. Penyimpangan perilaku yang terjadi pada masa remaja ini melibatkan tindakan individu yang melanggar norma sosial, aturan hukum, serta nilai-nilai keagamaan yang dianut masyarakat. Penelitian ini memakai metode studi literatur dengan tujuan mengkaji secara komprehensif definisi, jenis-jenis, faktor-faktor penyebab, serta dampak psikologis dari kenakalan remaja terhadap individu. Dari hasil telaah tersebut, kenakalan remaja dapat diklasifikasikan menjadi tiga tipe, yaitu kenakalan ringan, kenakalan yang mengarah pada pelanggaran, dan kenakalan khusus. Faktor utama yang memengaruhi berasal dari aspek internal remaja, lingkungan keluarga, masyarakat sekitar, dan lingkungan sekolah. Dampak yang timbul akibat kenakalan ini sangat beragam, termasuk gangguan psikologis, kecemasan, menurunnya rasa percaya diri, dan isolasi sosial. Selain itu, kenakalan remaja juga memberikan efek negatif bagi keluarga dan masyarakat, baik dalam dimensi moral maupun sosial. Kata Kunci: kenakalan remaja, faktor, dampak psikologis

Abstract

Media sosial telah menjadi bagian penting dari kehidupan remaja karena menawarkan banyak keuntungan, seperti kemampuan untuk tetap terhubung dan mendapatkan akses ke informasi. Namun, penggunaan yang berlebihan dan tidak bijak dapat menyebabkan efek kesehatan mental seperti kecemasan, depresi, dan rendahnya harga diri. Data dikumpulkan dan dianalisis dari berbagai kajian dan sumber terkait dalam penelitian ini melalui teknik observasi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap efek negatif media sosial termasuk paparan konten negatif, komunikasi sosial, perundungan siber, dan kurangnya interaksi sosial secara langsung. Oleh karena itu, remaja, orang tua, sekolah, dan platform media sosial harus bekerja sama untuk mengurangi efek negatif dan memaksimalkan manfaatnya.

Abstract

The background of this study is based on the high number of bullying cases in schools that can have a negative impact on students' psychological and social development. The purpose of this study is to explore various strategies that can be carried out by teachers in an effort to prevent and handle bullying behavior among children and adolescents. The method used is content analysis, which involves data identification and analysis. The sample used was articles published on googlescholar and researcghate ranging from 2015-2024. The results revealed that bullying is a negative behavior that reflects violent and discriminatory actions, which can arise due to differences in social status, lifestyle, and interests between students. The findings highlight the importance of the role of teachers as a key component in the education system to prevent and address bullying behavior in the school environment. Training and workshops for teachers are also needed to prevent and address bullying behavior and also to improve communication skills and appropriate interventions.

Abstract

Perilaku antisosial dikalangan siswa menjadi tantangan yang cukup signifikan dalam dunia pendidikan. Karakteristik yang ditampilkan meliputi kurangnya empati, pelanggaran norma sosial, serta tindakan agresif yang dapat merugikan baik individu maupun lingkungannya. Menghadapi kondisi ini, peran guru Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) sangatlah penting. Guru BK bertanggung jawab membantu siswa dengan berbagai pendekatan. Termasuk pelatihan yang berkelanjutan, layanan konseling individu dan kelompok, serta kerjasama dengan orang tua dan guru mata pelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka untuk menganalisis berbagai literatur yang relevan dalam upaya memahami strategi-strategi efektif untuk menangani perilaku antisosial pada siswa. Penelitian ini menganalisis 20 artikel yang diterbitkan rentang tahun 2015 hingga 2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tindakan preventif dan intervensi yang berbasis bimbingan dan konseling mampu membantu siswa mengembangkan keterampilan sosial, meningkatkan kesadaran diri, serta menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang lebih positif dan inklusif. Hal ini menekankan peran guru BK sangat penting dalam mendukung perkembangan sosial dan emosional siswa, sehingga mampu mengurangi kecenderungan perilaku antisosial dilingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

Every student  is faced with the demand to determine a career direction that aligns with their potential and interests. However, in the process of making career decisions, students confusion and need support from their closest environment, especially their parents. Effective communication between parents and children plays an important role in providing guidance, motivation, and information related to career choices. Based on this, the study aims to determine the relationship between parental communication and students’ career decision-making of students. This research with correlational studies with 218 students as sample. Data were collected using the parental communication scale and the career decision-making scale, each consisting of 40 items. Data analysis was conducted using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test with the help of SPSS version 22. The results showed a correlation coefficient of r = 0.578 with a significance value of p = 0.000 0.05, indicating a positive and significant relationship between parental communication and students’ career decision-making. These findings suggest that the better the communication established between parents and children, the better students are in making appropriate career decisions. Thus, parental communication plays an important role in helping students prepare for and determine their future career paths.
