Abstract

Waḥid ad-Dīn Khān has a profound interest in questions of faith within the discourse of Kalam with the emergence of challenges in religion and the cognitive explosion in contemporary thought. In this case, Khān is encouraged to defend Islamic theology from challenges, such as the evidence-based questions about the existence of God. Those inquiries are arising among Western atheists, who are seeking scientific, empirical, and rational evidence. Responding to this challenge, Khān defends the theology by introducing a fresh paradigm of Kalam, a scientific theory based on Quranic foundations. This discourse encourages the ramification of Quranic values to remind God’s intention, configures the “scientific” verses with new scientific discoveries, inspires the complete verses of God in the human soul, and integrates Islamic-theological literature with scientific methods. Khān argues that modern scientific discoveries are parallel with the Qur'an, in which the human mind and divine revelation are colliding with each other.

Abstract

Jambon, Ponorogo, Jawa Timur.

Abstract

This paper examines the role of digital Islamic communities in shaping social identity and promoting social change in the modern era. Through an analysis of various platforms, including online forums, social media, and educational portals, the research highlights how virtual spaces enable Muslims worldwide to connect and share. These communities serve not only as channels for discussing issues relevant to Islamic values, such as social justice and cultural cohesion, but also as tools for advocating social change. Furthermore, the paper discusses how digitalization has transformed religious learning and influenced Islamic thought in the online context. Online communities contribute to the evolution of thinking by providing spaces for more inclusive and participatory dialogue. The research finds that the existence of digital Islamic communities is crucial in creating a new collective awareness and identity that transcends geographical boundaries, thereby fostering networks of solidarity among the global Muslim community. Thus, this paper emphasizes the importance of digital platforms in facilitating social interaction and encouraging activism in contemporary contexts.

Abstract

Strengthening the quality of learning at the elementary school level requires adaptive and innovative strategies, especially in the digital era, which demands a more engaging and participatory learning process. This community service activity was carried out at SDN 2 Ngindeng in response to the need to increase teacher capacity in designing and using interactive learning media appropriate to the local context. The main objectives of this activity were: (1) to improve teachers' skills in using interactive media, (2) to increase active student engagement in the learning process, and (3) to foster a culture of simple technology-based learning. The community service methods used included teacher training, mentoring in the implementation of interactive media in the classroom, as well as pre- and post-test-based evaluations of teachers and observations of student engagement. The community service results showed a significant improvement in teacher skills, with an average post-test score of 26 points. Furthermore, student engagement increased from 55% to 82% after the program was implemented. These findings demonstrate that interactive media-based learning innovations can be a strategic solution for improving the quality of elementary education, particularly in areas with limited resources.
