Abstract

Abstract The low rate of exclusive breastfeeding indicates the failure of the nation to prepare quality human resources. The success of the IMD program is strongly influenced by several factors, one of which is socialization. Socialization is a way of conveying information to the public and can influence their knowledge and understanding of something. Lack of knowledge from parents, and medical authorities, and reluctance to do so makes IMD still rarely practised. The implementation of IMD is a new thing in Indonesia, especially in several hospitals in Padang City, both government and private hospitals. Information about the IMD process is very influential in shaping the intention of mothers who will soon give birth to want to apply the IMD process after childbirth. Health facilities such as hospitals should help new mothers to perform IMD. Therefore, researchers are interested in examining the implementation of socialization about the benefits of IMD in Padang City.

Abstract

Household Waste Management can be done by selecting waste between Organic Waste and Anorganic Waste. Based on the results of data processing which is obtained from the results of interviews from 145 respondents, 4 problems are obtained, namely, 100% of waste management that throws garbage into the river / gutter. Based on the Solok Regency Regional Regulation, the Regional Government is obliged to provide district-scale waste management facilities in the form of TPS, TPS 3R, Intermediate Transfer Station (SPA), TPA, TPST. The Regional Government is obliged to fund the implementation of waste management, provide waste sorting facilities consisting of 3 (three) types of waste, namely organic waste, inorganic waste and household hazardous waste. Based on this, it is necessary to carry out counselling activities and install banners prohibiting throwing garbage into rivers and sewers in order to create a clean and healthy environment without waste in Nagari Kinari.

Abstract

Based on the report from the Health Department of Padang City in 2022, the Anak Air Health Center had the lowest coverage for hypertension services at 7%. The aim of this study is to identify factors associated with patient satisfaction regarding hypertension treatment at the Anak Air Health Center in Padang City in 2024. This quantitative research employs a cross-sectional study design. The study was conducted at the Anak Air Health Center, with a population of 1,501 hypertension patients visiting the center in 2023, from which a sample of 94 individuals was taken using accidental sampling techniques. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed univariately and bivariately using the chi-square test. The results indicated that 66.0% of respondents were dissatisfied with the services, with 66.0% of the reliability dimension rated as poor quality, 69.1% of the responsiveness dimension rated as poor quality, 61.7% of the assurance dimension rated as poor quality, 66.0% of the empathy dimension rated as poor quality, and 67.0% of the tangibles dimension rated as poor quality. Statistical tests showed that all five dimensions of service quality were significantly related to patient satisfaction with a p-value ≤ 0.05. In conclusion, the quality dimensions are associated with hypertension patient satisfaction. It is recommended that the Anak Air Health Center improve service quality and patient satisfaction by providing training for staff, implementing a service waiting time system such as online registration or a digital queue system, establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for service delivery, and enhancing the necessary facilities. Abstract

Sure! Here’s the translation: --- The coverage of vitamin A supplementation in the Padang City Health Office in 2022 was 65.5%, with a target of 100%. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between mothers' knowledge and attitudes toward vitamin A supplementation for toddlers in the working area of the Dadok Tunggul Hitam Public Health Center in Padang City in 2024. This quantitative study uses a cross-sectional design. The research was conducted in the working area of the Dadok Tunggul Hitam Public Health Center, with a population of 2,395 mothers who have toddlers. A sample of 96 respondents was obtained using proportional random sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire through interviews, and data analysis was performed univariately using frequency distribution and bivariately using the Chi-square test. The results showed that 76% of mothers had a poor level of knowledge about vitamin A, and 50% had a negative attitude toward vitamin A supplementation. There is a relationship between the level of knowledge (p-value = 0.044) and vitamin A supplementation for toddlers. However, mothers' attitudes did not show a significant relationship with vitamin A supplementation for toddlers in the Dadok Tunggul Hitam Public Health Center area (p-value = 0.412). In conclusion, the level of knowledge has a significant relationship with vitamin A supplementation for toddlers, while mothers' attitudes do not have a significant relationship with vitamin A supplementation for toddlers. It is hoped that nutrition officers at the Dadok Tunggul Hitam Public Health Center in Padang City can provide counseling and health promotion to mothers regarding vitamin A supplementation during every Posyandu event and visit homes of toddlers who have not received vitamin A to provide it directly. Abstract

Prevalence of Hypertension among Individuals Aged > 15 Years in Padang Reached 22.4% in 2022.The objectives of this study are to determine: (1) the frequency distribution of medication adherence among hypertensive patients, (2) the frequency distribution of knowledge among hypertensive patients, (3) the frequency distribution of attitudes among hypertensive patients, (4) the frequency distribution of family support for hypertensive patients, (5) the relationship between knowledge and the incidence of hypertension among hypertensive patients, (6) the relationship between attitude and the incidence of hypertension among hypertensive patients, and (7) the relationship between family support and the incidence of hypertension among hypertensive patients in the Lubuk Begalung Community Health Center (Puskesmas) area. This quantitative study employs a cross-sectional design. The research is conducted in the Lubuk Begalung Community Health Center area in Padang in 2024. The population for this study consists of all hypertensive patients in the Lubuk Begalung Puskesmas area in 2023, totaling 651 individuals, with a sample size of 87 individuals. Analysis methods include univariate and bivariate analysis using the chi-square test. The study results indicate that hypertensive patients in the Lubuk Begalung Puskesmas area show poor adherence to medication. Of the respondents, 65 individuals (74.7%) have low knowledge about hypertension, 71 individuals (81.6%) exhibit negative attitudes toward hypertension, and 49 individuals (56.3%) receive inadequate family support. Bivariate analysis reveals significant relationships between knowledge and medication adherence (p-value 0.009), attitude and medication adherence (p-value 0.011), and family support and medication adherence (p-value 0.008). Conclusion: The Puskesmas should promote health education about the importance of medication adherence for hypertension to enhance the health and well-being of hypertensive patients, enabling early prevention, reducing complications, and avoiding relapses and mortality among hypertensive patients, ultimately improving recovery rates. Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan adalah sosialisasi praktek ekoenzym di Jorong Tapi Aia, Kabupaten Solok. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat Jorong Tapi Aia dalam hal pentingnya pengelolaan samapah dan ekoenzym sebagai cara pemanfaatan sampah organik rumah tangga. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada hari Selasa, 23 januari 2024 pukul 10.00 WIB sampai pukul 11.30 WIB di Hall Badminton Kinari, demonstrasi dihadiri oleh 42 orang termasuk Tim Pelaksanan Pengabdian Masyarakat, Wali Nagari beserta perangkatnya, Ibu PKK, Bundo Kanduang, Pak Jorong, Bidan Jorong, kader serta Masyarakat Jorong Tapi Aia. Dengan adanya kegiatan sosialisasi praktik ecoenzym ini ini masyarakat lebih mengetahui bagaimana pengelolaan sampah yang baik dengan benar. Dilihat dari hasil penilaian ilmu pengatahuan masyarakat,yang dinilaikan berdasarkan pre-test dan post-test didapatkan rata rata pengetahuan sebelum dilakukan penyuluhan sebesar 43% ,setelah dilakukan penyuluhan terdapat peningkatan sebesar 24% dengan rata-rata pengetahuan masyarakat 67%. Praktik ekoenzym ini dilakukan denga harapan masyarakat bisa secara mandiri memanfaatkan sampah organik rumah tangga sehingga bisa meminimalisir jumlah sampah.

Abstract

The prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia in the 2018 National Riskesdas was 34.11%. Minimum Service Standards for hypertension: Every patient with hypertension receives health services according to standards. Achievement of Hypertension at Andalas Public Health Center for the last two years is 30.21% in 2021 and 14% in 2022. This study aims to determine the process of implementing the Minimum Service Standards for the Hypertension program at the Andalas Public Health Center. This study is a Descriptive qualitative research method by conducting semi-structured interviews with ten informants. The research was conducted at Andalas Public Health Center from March to August. The data collected were the results of interviews using an interview guide, document review, and observation. Data analysis used source triangulation and method triangulation. The results were that the officers involved and hypertensive patients in implementing Minimum Service Standards Hypertension were by the standards. Facilities and infrastructure are sufficient, but adding blood pressure monitors and Communication, Information, and Education media in leaflets is still necessary. Existing health workers already know the process of implementing hypertension following standards.

Abstract

Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) are primary healthcare institutions at the forefront of providing healthcare services to the community. In Padang City, Puskesmas play a crucial role in public health services. The purpose of this community outreach activity is to provide information on the implementation of Puskesmas management, which is expected to provide solutions to various existing problems and bring positive changes in improving the quality of healthcare services at Puskesmas. The activity was conducted at two Puskesmas in Padang City in January 2025. The results of the outreach and evaluation showed that after the outreach, 85% of participants had a better understanding of Puskesmas governance, compared to 40% before the activity. The implementation of service quality standards also improved, particularly in service efficiency, patient satisfaction, and digital medical record management. Services that previously faced administrative constraints and limited human resources began to improve, with increased queuing system effectiveness and accelerated patient service times. In addition, the use of technology in digital medical record recording began to be implemented at several Puskesmas involved in this program. This facilitates patient data recording and increases efficiency in storing medical information.

Abstract

Kecamatan Gunung Talang di Kabupaten Solok merupakan salah satu wilayah yang memiliki jumlah lansia cukup besar, dan menjadi bagian dari wilayah kerja Puskesmas Gunung Talang. Hasil penjajakan awal dari Puskesmas menunjukkan bahwa banyak lansia di wilayah ini yang teridentifikasi memiliki tekanan darah tinggi. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, perlu dilakukan upaya intervensi berbasis komunitas dalam bentuk Kelas Senam Cegah Hipertensi bagi Lansia sebagai langkah promotif dan preventif terhadap kejadian stroke. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa Kelas Senam Cegah Hipertensi pada Lansia di wilayah kerja Kecamatan Gunung Talang, Kabupaten Solok, telah terlaksana dengan baik dan mencapai tujuan yang diharapkan. Intervensi senam lansia yang dilakukan secara teratur selama empat minggu, dikombinasikan dengan edukasi kesehatan mengenai hipertensi dan stroke, terbukti efektif dalam Meningkatkan pemahaman lansia tentang bahaya hipertensi dan cara pencegahan stroke, ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan skor pengetahuan dari pre-test ke post-test, Meningkatkan partisipasi dan kepedulian masyarakat, terutama pemuda dan kader kesehatan, dalam kegiatan promotif dan preventif penyakit tidak menular, Memperkuat kolaborasi antara institusi pendidikan, puskesmas, dan perangkat jorong dalam upaya peningkatan derajat kesehatan masyarakat lansia.
