Abstract

Shallot production in Karawang Regency has decreased every year. Efforts to increase shallot production can be carried out by administering growth regulators Gibberellic Acid (GA3) and superior seeds. The purpose of this research was to obtain the right concentration of Gibberellic Acid (GA3) to be applied to several shallot varieties in the lowlands of Karawang Regency. The study used an experimental method with a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was the varieties (S) consisting of 3 levels (Batu, Bauji, Maja) and the second factor was the concentration of GA3 (G) consisting of 4 levels (0 ppm, 100 ppm, 150 ppm, 200 ppm), each treatment was repeated 3 times so that There are 36 experimental units. The data obtained were analyzed using the F test and further tested with the DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) level of 5%. The results showed that there was no interaction between several shallot varieties with different concentrations of Gibberellic Acid (GA3) on the parameters of the number of tillers, the weight of dry tubers per clump, and the weight of dry stover tubers, but there were independent varieties factors that had a significant effect on each observation parameter. Keywords : Growth Regulatory Substances, Dry Tuber Weight, Shallot Production

Abstract

Intercropping system is closely related to the planting of different plant commodities at the same time and land, so it is not surprising if it creates positive or negative interactions between plants. Thus, efforts to regulate the proportion of plants in intercropping are important to be considered. The aim of study to obtain the best intercropping proportions in cauliflower and soybean crops. The research was conducted on Bintang Alam land, Telukjambe Timur, Karawang District in December 2022 - March 2023. The research was used experiment method with Randomized Block Design (RBD) single factor with 5 treatments of intercropping proportions repeated 5 times. The treatments given were; K1 = 100% cauliflower, K2 = 25% cauliflower + 75% soybean, K3 = 50% cauliflower + 50% soybean, K4 = 75% cauliflower + 25% soybean, K5 = 100% soybean. The results were analyzed with the F test at the rate of 5% and further tested with the Least Significant Difference (LSD) at the rate of 5%. The best intercropping system proportion was K3 treatment (50% cauliflower + 50% soybean), with the largest LER value of 1.49 and a balanced ratio of crop CR values of 0.72 (cauliflower) and 0.54 (soybean). The production per plot that can be produced from K3 treatment was 2.01 kg/plot (5.03 tons/ha) of cauliflower and 0.43 kg/plot (1.08 tons/ha) of soybean. Keywords : Intercropping, Planting proportion, Cauliflower, Soybean

Abstract

Superior seeds are one of the factors in determining the success of straw mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae) cultivation. Pure culture of straw mushroom can be obtained through several stages, including pure culture culture or F0, then from F0 it is sub-cultured into F1, F2, F3 and F4 seeds. The purpose of this study was to obtain one of the isolate numbers for the candidate seedling F3 which gave the best growth using rice straw media. The research was conducted in a farmer's mushroom house located in the village of Pasirmulya, Majalaya, Karawang Regency. The research will be carried out for approximately 2 months from December to January 2023. The research method used is a randomized block design (RBD) with 5 repetitions. There were 7 repetitions, namely A (F3 FP White), B (F3 FP Semi), F3 Clones 11, F3 Clones 12, F3 Clones 13, F3 Clones 14 and F3 Clones 15. The effect of treatment was analyzed using analysis of variance and if the F test was significant at 5% level, then to find out which treatment gave the best results it was continued with the DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) at 5% level. The results showed that there was a significant effect on the growth of several numbers of candidate isolates for spreading F3 mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae) Faperta Unsika on the use of rice straw media. Treatment E (Clone 13) gave the highest total weight of one kumbung of 1828.80 g, when converted the yield in one kumbung became 63.80 kg, the average fruit weight per plot was 135.732 g and the average harvest intensity of one growing season during 14,400 days. Key Words:Isolate F3 Faperta Unsika,Straw,Straw Mushroom, Clone 13

Abstract

Shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) is a type of vegetable plant that is widely planted in several regions in Indonesia which is used as a cooking spice and has ingredients that are beneficial to health. Fulfillment of nutrient needs for growth and yield in plants can be done by fertilization. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of a combination of doses of vermicompost and urea fertilizer on the growth and yield of the Bima brebes variety of shallot (Allilum ascalonicum L.). The research was carried out in Karangmangu Village, Kec.Kramatmulya, Kab. Kuningan, West Java. The experiment was carried out in March 2023 – May 2023. The study used a Single Factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 10 treatments repeated 3 times, consisting of 10 treatments namely A (20 tonnes/ha of cow manure+400 kg/ha of urea +200 kg/ha phonska), B (10 tonnes/ha vermicompost+200 kg/ha urea), C (10 tonnes/ha vermicompost+300 kg/ha urea), D (10 tonnes/ha vermicompost+400 kg/ ha urea), E (15 tonnes/ha vermicompost+200 kg/ha urea), F (15 tonnes/ha vermicompost+300 kg/ha urea), G (15 tonnes/ha vermicompost+400 kg/ha urea), H (20 tonnes/ha vermicompost+200 kg/ha urea), I (20 tonnes/ha vermicompost+300 kg/ha urea), J (20 tonnes/ha vermicompost+400 kg/ha urea). The results showed that there was a significant effect of the combination doses of vermicompost and urea fertilizer on the growth and yield of the shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) variety Bima brebes on plant height, number of leaves, tuber wet weight, tuber diameter, and tuber dry weight. Treatment J (20 tonnes/ha vermicompost+400 kg/ha urea) gave the highest yield on tuber dry weight of 38.33 g.

Abstract

Mushrooms are a food ingredient that is liked by the people of Indonesia and have a fairly high variety of species. Currently mushroom production in Indonesia is still experiencing unstable or fluctuating changes. The success of mushroom cultivation apart from proper cultivation techniques, straw mushroom requires a growing medium that can support its growth and production properly. This study aims to obtain culture media material that gives the best results for the growth of seedlings of F4 isolate FP007 straw mushroom (Volvariella Volvaceae). This experiment was conducted at a mushroom house owned by a farmer located in Pasirmulya Village, Majalaya District, Karawang Regency, carried out from March to May 2023. The research method used was an experimental method with a single factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 5 replications. There were 7 treatments, namely A (100% Straw), B (80% Straw + 20% Rice Husk), C (50% Straw + 50% Cotton), D (30% Straw + 20% Rice Husk + 50% Wood Powder ), E (25% straw + 75% sawdust), F (25% straw + 25% sawdust + 50% cotton), G (20% straw + 20% rice husk + 60% cotton). The effect of the treatment was analyzed by analysis of variance at the 5% level and then continued with the DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) at the 5% level. The results showed that there was a significant effect of differences in growing media on the growth and yield of F4 seedling isolate FP007 mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae). Treatment G (20% Straw + 20% Rice Husk + 60% Cotton) gave the highest average fruit weight per plot of 6.30 g, the average harvest intensity of one growing season was 7.80 days and the total weight of one plot of 852 g, if the total weight is 71.58 kg. Key Words:F4 Faperta Unsika,Straw Mushroom, and Straw
