Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe: (1) the form of physiological needs of the main character in the novel Kado Terbaik by J.S. Khairen, (2) the form of the main character's need for security in the novel Kado Terbaik by J.S. Khairen, (3) the form of need to be loved and a feeling of love for the main character in the novel Kado Terbaik by J.S. Khairen, (4) the form of need for a sense of appreciation and respect for the main character in the novel Kado Terbaik by J.S. Khairen, and (5) the form of self-actualization needs of the main character in the novel Kado Terbaik by J.S. Khairen. The type of research used is literary research with descriptive methods. The object used in this research is the novel Kado Terbaik by J.S. Khairen. Based on the research conducted, it was found that there are 4 forms of physiological needs, 5 forms of the need for security, 4 forms of the need to feel loved and loving, 3 forms of the need for a sense of esteem and appreciation, and 1 form of the need for self-actualization of the main character in the novel Kado Terbaik by J.S. Khairen.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil analisis struktur dan kaidah kebahasaan teks eksplanasi yang ditulis oleh siswa kelas VIII di SMPN 1 Tanjuang Baru, Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota, pada tahun pembelajaran 2022/2023. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah 20 siswa/siswi kelas VIII. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik dokumentasi, yaitu dengan mengumpulkan dokumen hasil penugasan yang diberikan oleh guru Bahasa Indonesia kepada siswa untuk menulis teks eksplanasi. Dokumen tersebut kemudian dipinjam oleh peneliti dari guru Bahasa Indonesia. Tahapan selanjutnya adalah membaca dan mengklasifikasikan data, lalu memasukkan data ke dalam tabel analisis teks eksplanasi sesuai dengan struktur dan kebahasaannya. Dari 20 data yang dianalisis, 18 siswa (90%) dapat menulis teks eksplanasi dengan struktur yang tepat. Namun, 2 siswa (10%) tidak dapat menulis dengan benar. Dari 20 teks yang ditulis, hanya 7 siswa (35%) yang menggunakan ketiga kebahasaan teks eksplanasi, yaitu konjungsi kausalitas, kronologis, dan EYD. Sebanyak 13 siswa (65%) tidak menggunakan ketiga kebahasaan tersebut.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis cara berkomunikasi siswa serta kesalahan berbahasa Indonesia di SMP Swasta Utama Medan. Bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa nasional memiliki peran penting dalam dunia pendidikan, namun dalam praktiknya masih ditemukan berbagai kesalahan dalam penggunaannya, baik secara lisan maupun tulisan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif untuk mendapatkan gambaran mendalam mengenai pola komunikasi siswa dan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kesalahan berbahasa mereka. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan angket yang diisi oleh siswa kelas VIII. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa memiliki kesadaran akan pentingnya komunikasi yang baik dan penggunaan bahasa yang sopan dalam berbagai konteks. Namun, masih ditemukan beberapa tantangan, seperti kurangnya rasa percaya diri saat berbicara di depan kelas serta penggunaan bahasa tidak baku dalam komunikasi sehari-hari. Faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kesalahan berbahasa meliputi interferensi bahasa daerah, kurangnya pemahaman terhadap kaidah bahasa Indonesia, serta pengaruh bahasa informal dari media sosial. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya pengajaran bahasa Indonesia yang lebih interaktif dan kontekstual guna meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi siswa. Sekolah diharapkan dapat mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dalam membentuk kebiasaan berbahasa yang baik dan benar.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the characteristics of toxic parenting towards children in the family. This study was motivated by the parenting patterns of parents towards their children. Parenting patterns are habits that parents do to their children such as caring for, guiding and leading their children in the family. However, this is not the case with toxic parenting, this toxic parenting pattern parents will treat their children badly, for example, controlling their children too much, like shouting at children, committing verbal violence, blaming children, criticizing and being selfish with the aim of the good of their children. However, in reality, this condition will make children depressed, stressed, stressed, and not confident. The method used is descriptive analysis. Based on the results of research on toxic parenting, it can be concluded that toxic parenting is very dangerous and has a major negative effect on children's development in the future. This is because parenting patterns like this have a chain that will later be carried out by the child when they are adults and have children, because they assume that the parenting patterns carried out by their parents are good. To avoid toxic parenting, parents must try to understand their children's behavior, provide opportunities for children, control emotions and establish good communication with children.
