Abstract

Abstract

Burns in children are an emergency condition that can lead to shock, infection, functional limitations, and both physical and psychological discomfort. Comprehensive management involves pharmacological approaches, including the use of analgesics to reduce pain and antibiotics to prevent or treat infections and related complications. This condition is a concern for nurses because comprehensive and holistic nursing care can reduce complications and prevent mortality. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of evidence-based nursing care in improving comfort among children with burn injuries. This research uses a literature review method analyzing scientific articles from Google Scholar published from 2020 to 2025. The results indicate that children’s comfort improves through optimal pain management, early infection detection, exudate removal, and family education, as well as through therapeutic interventions such as honey therapy, Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT), physiotherapy, and wound care to support functional recovery. In addition, multidisciplinary collaboration among nurses, surgeons, nutritionists, and rehabilitation specialists has been shown to accelerate healing and reduce stress in children. These findings confirm that structured, responsive, and collaborative nursing care plays a significant role in enhancing comfort and accelerating the recovery process of pediatric burn patients. Overall, strengthening the implementation of essential nursing care can speed up the healing process and reduce both the physical and emotional burden experienced by children with burn injuries

Abstract

Abstract: Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental/neurobiological disorder in children characterised by persistent patterns of difficulty concentrating, impulsive behaviour, and hyperactivity. Signs and symptoms appear in children as young as 36 months. Neurodevelopmental or neurologic disorders in children can be detected at an early age in those living in densely populated areas. This problem cannot be underestimated and is a concern because it will disrupt their future. This activity aims to identify developmental problems in children with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in densely populated areas using the Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Screening Tool. This PKM method involves examining child development using the attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) screening tool for 17 preschool children. This was carried out at our partner, the Rahmat Empati Foundation, in Pondok Empati, West Jakarta. The results of the examination of the attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) screening tool found that 5.9% of children were categorised as possibly having attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The screening tool for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children is easy to use and can be routinely administered by partners, as it has been approved by the Indonesian Ministry of Health. Early developmental screening in preschool children is crucial for supporting their well-being.

Abstract

Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) is most common in densely populated. Adolescent students are expected to contribute to the rescue as part of the social fabric. This study aimed to examine changes in the proactive behavior of school adolescents in basic life support education. The research used a pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest on 102 respondents at SMK Multimedia Mandiri Jakarta using descriptive and Wilcoxon tests.  The results showed that the respondents were predominantly late-phase adolescents (59.8%), male (79.8%), not family members working in health services (95.1%), and not familiar with basic life support (79.4%); (2) The cooperative behavior of adolescents in basic life support education show an increase in cognitive aspects, with an average pre-test score of 52 (bad) to 83 (excelent) in the average post-test score; (3) The results of proactive behavior show a significant clout on the readiness of adolescents in providing basic life support in the community environment living in densely populated settlements (p<0.001). The proactive behavior of teenage students as part of the community in basic life support education is very important. In addition, this study has implications for the independence and readiness of school adolescents to assist victims of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA), especially in densely populated areas.
