Abstract

The focus of this research is on common rule violations committed by some educators in schools such as being late, leaving early, and attending to personal matters during work hours. The study aims to describe how the head of the Islamic Junior High School plays a crucial role in managing the discipline of teachers at State Islamic Junior High School 01 Kepahiang. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, documentation, and data validation through triangulation method. Data analysis is based on Miles and Huberman's opinion, involving data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research findings reveal that the head of State Islamic Junior High School 01 Kepahiang has seven important roles in enhancing the work discipline of educators. The head of the school acts as an educator by demonstrating personal discipline to set an example for subordinates. As a manager, the head of the school conducts regular evaluations and coordination to maintain discipline. As a leader, the head of the school guides and motivates all parties towards the school's goals. As a supervisor, the head of the school supervises and controls to improve discipline with a familial approach. As an innovator, the head of the school provides facilities that support teachers in their tasks. As an administrator, the head of the school regularly checks teachers' administration. Lastly, as a motivator, the head of the school rewards and penalizes teachers based on their level of discipline.

Abstract

Library management in schools is essentially a stage carried out with the aim of optimizing the overall performance of the existing resources in the library itself which is needed to achieve library goals. Libraries as educational institutions and information provider institutions will have good performance if they are supported by adequate management, so that all institutional activities will lead to efforts to achieve the goals that have been proclaimed. This study aims to describe the process of library management at the Insan Mulia Natural School Lubuk Linggau. The details are to find out how the implementation of management functions carried out in managing the library starts from planning, organizing, actuating, controlling which is carried out in the library of the Insan Mulia Natural School Lubuk Linggau. The method used in this research is using descriptive qualitative research methods to determine the implementation of library management at the Insan Mulia Natural School Lubuk Linggau. This study's subjects were the library's heady, librarians, teachers, and students. The result of this study is that the implementation of management functions in the Alam Insan Mulia Lubuk Linggau school library has been going well.

Abstract

Thalasemia mayor adalah penyakit kronis yang mempunyai kelainan perkembangan sel darah merah yang menyebabkan usia sel darah merah kurang dari 120 hari. Penderita thalasemia mayor harus melakukan tranfusi darah secara rutin namun akan berakibat meningkatnya zat besi dalam tubuh di tandai dengan hasil pemeriksaan feritin yang tinggi. Kadar feritin kurang dari 1000 ng/ml tidak beresiko dibanding kadar feritin lebih dari 1000 ng/ml yang beresiko terjadinya siderosis pada hati. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan cross sectional yang dilakukan di Unit Thalasemia RS Sentra Medika Cikarang pada 16 Desember 2024 sampai 15 Januari 2025 dengan populasi penelitian ini terhadap anak dan remaja sebanyak 64 responden dengan  tekhnik total sampling. Menggunakan lembar observasi data rekam medis hasil pemeriksaan feritin dan kunjungan tranfusi darah. Menggunakan analisis univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan uji chi square didapatkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kepatuhan tranfusi darah terhadap peningkatan feritin pada pasien thalasemia mayor didapat p-value = 0,039 ( < nilai α = 0,05 ). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan  hubungan yang signifikan terhadap kepatuhan tranfusi darah terhadap peningkatan feritin pada pasien thalasemia mayor di unit thalassemia RS Sentra Medika Cikarang.

Abstract

One of the most decisive factors in the success of development in schools is the principal's strategy. A description of the principal's strategy for planning, implementing, and supervising quality improvement is the goal of this study. A qualitative approach is implemented in this study, while the method used is descriptive method. Observations, interviews, and documentation studies are used as a means of collecting data. Principals, educators, students, and school committees are the subjects of this research activity. Based on the research findings, the researcher leads to interesting conclusions: 1) The strategy adopted by the principal in the field of quality improvement planning is that all parties in the school are involved in the planning carried out by the principal, also giving teachers the opportunity to carry out quality planning, budgeting schools in collaboration with school committees; 2) As part of the school principal's approach/strategy in efforts to improve quality, namely teacher qualifications in the process of carrying out learning must be appropriate, carrying out the learning process according to the curriculum, and providing assistance to teachers in carrying out learning evaluations; 3) Supervision of teaching by applying group techniques and individual techniques to efforts to improve quality in schools is the principal's strategy in supervising quality improvement.
