Improving the quality of education is the responsibility of all parties. One of the institutions carrying out this mandate in an area is the Education Council. This study aims to find out how the role of the Education Council in Rejang Lebong Regency in improving the quality of education so far. Law No. 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers, has inspired the Principal of the Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah School (MAM) Curup. The inspiration was manifested in the managerial step of increasing four main competencies, namely: pedagogical competence, professional competence, personality competence, and social competence. In connection with the managerial step, this paper aims to describe; (1) school principal management in improving teacher competency; (2) the success of the principal's management in improving teacher competency; (3) inhibiting factors and principals management solutions in improving teacher competency. This research is in the form of qualitative, using data collection methods in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the principal's management strategy in improving teacher competency in MAM Curup, namely: First, School Principal Management in improving Islamic education teacher competencies as follows: (1) Involving teachers in training, training and seminars, (2) Promoting discipline, (3) Motivating teachers, through motivation from school principals, becomes the spirit for teachers to improve improvements in educational innovation as a tangible form of developing competencies, (4) Implementation of Supervision. Secondly, the application of the principal's management in improving teacher competence greatly influences the competency of PAI teachers in MAM Curup, namely that teachers have implemented the five basic competency standards that are best governed by the government. Third, the barriers and solutions of the principal's management in developing the competence of Islamic education teachers in MAM Curup, namely: The role of parents has not been seen in the personal / karaker of each student, then together with the teaching time of the teacher with the training time in increasing teacher competency

Almost all societies in the world today are shadowed by a tremendous fear of the plague striking the world or the so-called the pandemic. Even at the beginning of 2020, Indonesia also felt the same, and this had implications for the issuance of several government policies in order to minimize the spread of the covid-19 outbreak, including limiting people to gather and perform religious rituals in congregation such as prayer and other religious activities on a large scale. Such an issuance was disseminated by Indonesian Minister of Religion. Responding to the dissemination, each community definitely had a different perception. Grounded in this phenomenon, this study sought to find out the Sukarajaâ€™s communityâ€™s perception in responding to such an issuance using a qualitative approach. The findings of this study revealed that the perceptions of Sukarajaâ€™s people were diverse in responding to the issuance of the Minister of Religion concerning praying during the Covid-19 pandemic period. However, they agreed with the issuance in general. The differences were due to lack of understanding about Covid-19 and the background of the issuance concerning worshiping at home so that clear information was needed both from the village government and from religious leaders.

The purpose of this study was to examine the principal's managerial role in ensuring that learning processes at Muhammadiyah primary school continue desirably and effectively during the Covid-19 pandemic. Additionally, this study intended to depict learning processes in Islamic education. The principal and six Islamic education instructors were purposefully chosen as informants in this investigation. The data were gathered via documentation, observation, and interviews in order to ensure the data's credibility. Following the data collection and analysis was conducted using an interactive model. This study established that, during the covid19 epidemic, the principal used a combination of remote and face-to-face learning as a manager. Certain classes are held online and offline learning as scheduled one at a time on specific days. Through the use of such a learning system, processes and activities for instilling students' religious, moral, and social values may be conducted. Apart from offline learning, the principal and teachers collaborated with students' parents to supervise students' or children's learning processes at home. To preserve the quality of teachers, the principal encouraged teachers to participate in training on creating learning films as an engaging medium for students to comprehend the contents presented during class readily.

Online Learning Problems and the Principal’s Efforts to Overcome the Problems Lukman Asha

The spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) has brought various drastic changes to human life, one of which is the mode of learning that should be transformed into an online mode. However, the complexities of online learning leave some problems. Thus, this qualitative study aimed to investigate the online learning processes, problems, and the principal’s solutions at MA Muhammmadiyah Kampung Delima, Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu Province. The principal and five selected teachers were involved as the participants. The data were garnered from interviews and observations, and the data were further analyzed using an interactive model. The findings demonstrated that the school, in general, had implemented online learning processes based on the school and teachers’ existing and general competencies. However, there were some problems therein, including ineffective delivery of materials, inadequate technological facilities of students, students’ lack of discipline, and unstable internet networks. To overcome such problems, the principal arranged assistance from the government to benefit from online learning and actively encouraged teachers to establish communication with parents. As an implication, the curricular contents of teacher education in the Indonesian context should be more sensitive to the discourse of TPACK. Further studies are expected to work on the principal’s managerial role in online learning by involving the principles from various schools.

The arrival of Islam in the 7th century to the world is considered by historians as the builder of a new world with new thinking, new ideals, new culture and civilization. For more than fourteen centuries since the Prophet Muhammad spread the new teachings in theology monotheistic, areas of individual life, the field of public life, and the state, Islamic civilization has been widespread ranging from Spanish territory to the citadel of China, from the valley of the river Volga in Russia to Southeast Asia, and even later almost to the whole world, including Indonesia, Sumatra and Bengkulu. Islam was spread in various ways, such as through activites of trade, agriculture, education, establishment of a mosque, and getting marriage so that Islam has spread throughout the corners of the country in ground water included in Rejang Lebong Regency. The objectives of this study were to find out the extent of radicalism-related understanding and symptoms amid the students of IAIN Curup and to know the policies made by the campus in countering radicalism. This study applied a descriptive analytic method adopting a phenomenological approach that deployed some techniques of collecting data such as observations, interviews, and documentation. This study revealed that the understanding of radicalism among the students of IAIN Curup was associated with religious radicalism. However, there was no any radicalism symptom found. In general, the students of IAIN Curup still had the spirits of Pancasila, Bhineka Tungga Ika, NKRI and the 1945 Constitution. The policies made by the campus in counteracting radicalism extended to strengthening the understanding of diversity, the mastery of scientific fields, and entrepreneurship. Students had an understanding of religious tolerance and accepted the presences of others. An active engagement into students’ activities made them stay focused on the objectives of lecturing and learning. Through entrepreneurship activities, students became creative and innovative so that they were not easily drawn into radical actions

The cultivation of moral values in Islamic Education learning becomes an effort in facing various challenges in this millennial era. The purpose of strengthening moral values is to guide and foster students to be better persons and be able to have good morals, which are in accordance with Islamic values. As regards moral values, the role of educators in cultivating moral values is very crucial. It is to prepare students’ positive attitude to face the millennial era. There are several supporting factors in cultivating students’ moral values in SMA 2 Rejang Lebong. They are the existence of support and collaboration from the school, cooperation between teachers and parents, and the fulfillment of the school’s facilities and infrastructure. On the other hand, there are some factors that obstruct the cultivation of moral values that are influenced by the students’ selves and peer relations. This research is qualitative research, qualitative research aims to examine the conditions of natural objects and emphasize understanding the in-depth meaning of a symptom. Data were collected through interviews (direct and indirect), observation, and documentation. The purpose of this study is to find out how to instill moral values in learning Islamic religious education to face the millennial era and to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors for planting moral values in learning Islamic religious education facing the millennial era in SMA Negeri 2 Rejang Lebong.
