Abstract

SMA Negeri 1 Rejang Lebong is currently experiencing a significant educational transformation with the introduction of the Independent Learning Curriculum. Educational supervision at SMA Negeri 1 Rejang Lebong is a key instrument in ensuring teacher understanding and conformity of teaching methods with the Independent Learning Curriculum. The author uses a quantitative research approach, a type of research that collects data through questions in the form of questionnaires with a sample of 65 teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Rejang Lebong. The data analysis technique used can determine the measurement scale of each variable, so that hypothesis testing can be carried out appropriately. The aim of this research is to find out whether there is a significant influence between the principal's supervision on the understanding and implementation of the independent learning curriculum at SMA Negeri 1 Rejang Lebong. The conclusions obtained are (1) Principal supervision influences the understanding of the independent learning curriculum at SMA Negeri 1 Rejang Lebong, this can be seen from the significance of principal supervision of 0.917, which means it is greater than the significance level used, namely 0.05; (2) The principal's supervision influences the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at SMA Negeri 1 Rejang Lebong. This can be seen from the significance of the principal's supervision of 0.829, which means it is greater than the significance level used, namely 0.05. It can also be seen from the coefficient of determination of principal supervision of 0.687, that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected; (3) There is an influence between the principal's supervision on the understanding and application of the independent learning curriculum at SMAN 1 Rejang Lebong, the principal's supervision has an effect of 84.1% on the teacher's understanding of the independent learning curriculum and the teacher's application of the independent learning curriculum by 68.7 %.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Fraud Control Plan (FCP) in managing School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds at SD Negeri 12 Kepahiang. The primary issues identified include low transparency and accountability in fund management and indications of fund misuse due to limited oversight. The research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that FCP implementation begins with the formulation of internal policies as a guide for fund management, followed by the establishment of structured management procedures, internal monitoring, and training for relevant parties. Technology is also utilized to enhance transparency in fund usage. Risk identification in BOS fund management highlights potential misuse during the planning, implementation, and reporting stages, necessitating strict oversight. Fraud prevention and detection strategies include robust internal controls, the use of technology, and external supervision by the school committee and the education department. However, FCP implementation faces challenges such as limited human resources and technology, as well as resistance to change. Supporting factors that strengthen FCP implementation include an effective internal monitoring system and good understanding of accountability, while the main obstacles are the low administrative staff awareness and limited technological infrastructure. The study recommends further training and technological capacity-building to ensure the sustainable and effective application of FCP.

Abstract

Efficient student administrative services are fundamental to academic success and institutional effectiveness in higher education. This case study investigates the implementation, challenges, and proposed solutions related to student administrative services at IAIN Curup, a religious-based higher education institution in Indonesia. Data were collected from four administrative staff and twelve students through interviews, observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed using an interactive model to capture emerging themes. Findings reveal persistent challenges despite structured procedures and digital tools, including delays, inconsistent implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), limited technological capacity, and communication breakdowns. These issues are analyzed through the lenses of service quality models, particularly SERVQUAL, and change management theory, which highlight gaps in reliability, responsiveness, and institutional adaptability. Participants emphasized the urgent need for integrated, user-friendly digital systems, ongoing capacity building, and enhanced leadership engagement—key components of successful digital transformation initiatives. Moreover, inclusive decision-making and transparent communication emerged as organizational enablers of sustainable service reform. This study contributes to the limited scholarship on administrative management in religious higher education settings by revealing how procedural, technological, and cultural dimensions intersect to affect service delivery. Framed within the global shift toward digitalization in higher education, the findings underscore the importance of adaptive leadership and strategic innovation in sustaining administrative transformation. Future research should further explore the long-term organizational impacts of these reforms.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation and impact of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model in the Islamic Cultural History (Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam/SKI) curriculum at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) in Rejang Lebong Regency. The objectives are twofold: (1) to describe the application of the STAD model in classroom settings, and (2) to analyze its influence on students’ creativity, initiative, motivation, and learning outcomes. Employing a quantitative research design, data were collected from a sample of 35 students using validated and reliable questionnaires. These instruments measured key variables such as creativity, initiative, motivation, and academic performance. Statistical analysis revealed that the STAD model significantly enhances students’ creativity, initiative, and motivation. Although a positive trend was observed in learning outcomes, its impact was comparatively moderate. The findings underscore the effectiveness of structured cooperative learning in promoting active engagement and supporting the development of 21st-century competencies within the SKI subject area. The study concludes that STAD is a valuable pedagogical strategy that benefits student-centered learning but recommends adaptations for optimal outcomes. Suggested improvements include rotating student roles within teams, integrating holistic assessment tools, providing teacher training in group facilitation, implementing project-based learning activities, and incorporating contextual Islamic case studies to enrich content relevance and critical thinking.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan dasar empiris dalam penyusunan Rencana Strategis (Renstra) UIN Sunan Kalijaga periode 2020-2024 melalui pendekatan analisis SWOT yang komprehensif. Analisis SWOT digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor internal (kekuatan dan kelemahan) serta faktor eksternal (peluang dan ancaman) yang mempengaruhi pengembangan institusi perguruan tinggi Islam negeri ini. UIN Sunan Kalijaga sebagai salah satu Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri tertua dan terkemuka di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan di era globalisasi dan revolusi industri 4.0. Metode penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan data dari dokumen resmi Renstra UIN serta telaah literatur terkait. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan UIN Sunan Kalijaga terletak pada reputasi kuat, kualitas sumber daya manusia, serta infrastruktur memadai yang mendukung proses akademik dan riset inovatif. Sementara kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman dianalisis untuk merumuskan strategi pengembangan yang adaptif dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi bahan evaluasi strategis bagi pengembangan institusi, mendukung visinya menjadi universitas kelas dunia dengan integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dan keilmuan modern

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the implementation of strategic management in the Strategic Plan (Renstra) of the Kepahiang Regency Inspectorate and its contribution to improving more transparent and accountable education governance. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative with a case study method, which focuses on document analysis, observation, and relevant documentation. The research stages include preliminary studies, data collection, data analysis using the SWOT model, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the Renstra of the Inspectorate has adopted strategic principles well, including vision, mission, strategic objectives, and performance indicators that support the strengthening of the Inspectorate's role in supervising the education sector. Strengths such as the integrity of human resources, a well-planned supervisory structure, and central policy support are important institutional assets. However, there are still weaknesses in terms of the limited number of auditors, follow-up on supervisory results, and the use of information technology. External opportunities, such as the push for bureaucratic reform and strengthening inter-institutional synergy, need to be leveraged to address threats such as low commitment from education-related government agencies. The discussion indicates that the success of oversight depends heavily on the consistent implementation of strategic management and the internalization of values such as trustworthiness, accountability, and integrity, as emphasized in the perspective of Islamic Education Management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the character education and school digitalization strategies outlined in the Strategic Plan (Renstra) of the Department of Education and Culture of Kepahiang Regency for the period 2021–2026. The method used is document analysis of the Renstra, which serves as a medium-term policy framework for the development of the education sector. The analysis results indicate that the character education strategy focuses on the integration of character values into the curriculum, continuous teacher training, and the reinforcement of extracurricular activities that support the development of students' personalities. Meanwhile, the school digitalization strategy includes the development of information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure, the enhancement of digital competencies among teachers and education personnel, and the integration of technology into an adaptive and innovative learning process. These two strategies are mutually reinforcing in the effort to improve the overall quality of education in Kepahiang Regency, with the hope of addressing 21st-century challenges and strengthening the competitiveness of the younger generation at both local and global levels

Abstract

Kompetensi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) menjadi faktor krusial dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang berkualitas, namun masih ditemukan permasalahan terkait rendahnya efektivitas sistem pengawasan dan monitoring kompetensi guru PAI di SMP Negeri 2 Kota Lubuklinggau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pengawasan dalam meningkatkan monitoring kompetensi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMP Negeri 2 Kota Lubuklinggau serta mengidentifikasi strategi optimalisasi sistem pengawasan yang berorientasi pada peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumentasi dari guru PAI, operator, serta siswa kelas VII. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengawasan yang efektif memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru PAI. Pengawasan tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai kontrol administratif, tetapi juga sebagai pembinaan dan pengembangan kompetensi profesional guru. Monitoring yang dilakukan secara berkesinambungan dan sistematis dapat memberikan umpan balik yang konstruktif untuk perbaikan kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar pengawasan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan yang lebih terarah, berorientasi pada peningkatan kualitas pendidikan, dan didukung oleh sistem monitoring yang lebih optimal. Implikasi penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan model pengawasan yang komprehensif dan rekomendasi strategis bagi peningkatan sistem monitoring kompetensi guru PAI di sekolah menengah pertama.

Abstract

This study investigates the challenges faced by non-lecturer educational staff in developing human capital and explores leadership solutions within a higher education institution in Bengkulu province. Employing a qualitative descriptive methodology, data were collected through interviews, observations, and open-ended questionnaires from 20 staff members and two leaders. Key findings reveal difficulties in balancing education and work, limited access to relevant training, and obstacles in skill development. Leadership responses include flexible educational schedules, improved technology infrastructure, and enhanced cross-unit collaboration. The study highlights the need for comprehensive solutions to improve service quality, innovation, and institutional adaptation. Limitations include the study's focus on a single university and reliance on qualitative data. Further research should explore these dynamics across diverse educational contexts and assess the long-term impacts of proposed solutions.
