Abstract

Pengkajian terhadap puisi di sekolah hanya sebatas pada struktur pembangun puisi saja. Padahal untuk memahami isi puisi diperlukan pengkajian yang menyeluruh, termasuk pada aspek estetik puisi. Pemahaman terkait hal ini belum dimengerti oleh guru, sehingga pembelajaran puisi di sekolah pun masih sepotong-sepotong. Guru kesulitan dalam menemukan aspek estetik dalam puisi, sehingga perlu adanya pedoman yang dapat menuntun guru dalam pengkajian aspek estetik dalam puisi ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aspek estetik puisi dan strategi pengkajian aspek estetik puisi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskripsi analisis. Teknik pengumpulan dan analisis data yang dilakukan yaitu teknik kajian pustaka. Berdasarkan studi literatur tersebut diperoleh puisi konvensional dan kontemporer, aspek estetik puisi konvensional dan kontemporer, serta strategi pengkajian aspek estetik konvensional dan kontemporer.

Abstract

Films adapted from novels often receive negative responses from both readers and viewers, stemming from disappointment when the film's narrative is perceived as not aligning with the original novel. Therefore, this study aims to describe the forms of ecranisation from the novel Invalidite: The Bridge of Perfection into the film Invalidite, and to describe public responses to films undergoing the ecranisation process. The method used in this research is descriptive. Data collection techniques in this study include content analysis, documentary techniques, and questionnaires. The instruments used in this research are data tables of narrative elements in the novel and film, as well as questionnaires. After analyzing the data, the results show that the study of ecranisation forms from Faradita's novel Invalidite: The Bridge of Perfection into Herwin Novianto's film Invalidite consists of forms of reduction, addition, and varied changes in plot, characters, setting, costumes, props, and accompanying music. Specifically, 51 instances of reduction, 25 instances of addition, and 38 instances of varied changes were found. This aligns with respondents' feedback, which states that films undergoing the ecranisation process inevitably experience changes. This research is expected to provide understanding and awareness to both readers and viewers to accept the changes that occur in film adaptations.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the imbalance of literary appreciation, literary appreciation is only focused on literary studies using an objective approach that considers literary works as something that stands alone so that it seems incomplete. Through an enclitic approach, literary appreciation in this study uses two approaches that are used simultaneously, combining objective and expressive approaches. This study aims to describe the novel Arunika Terakhir by Ipul Sae, a description of the author's sociology, the influence of the author's sociological aspects on intrinsic elements, and the procedure for applying the enclitic approach in literary studies. The method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The research technique uses text analysis techniques and interviews. Based on the results of the interview, it can be seen that Ipul Sae is someone who is active in the fields of environment, education, literacy, social, and art. The author is from Sumeadang Regency, in 2016 the author established a reading garden called Panti Baca Ceria. The first book is entitled Kata Benda and the second book is entitled Arunika Terakhir. This novel is interesting to study because it is a fiction genre and it reflects the imagination, creativity, and reality experienced by the author. In the novel Arunika Terakhir by Ipul Sae, the issues raised in the story are the struggle to save the environment from human greed, the lives of humans and other creatures in a coexistent world, and human awareness of the environment in which they live. The main character named Varsha Eka Saptarangi, is set in 2080 in a city called Medalion. The application of an enclitic approach by linking the first data in the form of the author's sociology and the second data in the form of intrinsic elements of the novel Arunika Terakhir by Ipul Sae so that the relationship between the author's background, who is a man from Sumedang, chooses the name of the character, character of the character, setting of place, the theme of the story, and how to resolve the conflict in the novel. The author works in the environmental field so that it affects the theme of the story raised, and the message conveyed. The author brings up traditional values ​​that are still embraced by the Sundanese people related to the author's passion for traditional arts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji struktur dan gambaran masyarakat yang terdapat dalam novel The King: Eternal Monarch karya Kim Eun-sook. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Sumber data pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh isi dari novel The King: Eternal Monarch karya Kim Eun-sook yang terdiri atas dua jilid dengan ketebalan masing-masing 256 dan 292 halaman terbitan Noura Books tahun 2021 cetakan pertama. Data penelitiannya yaitu unsur-unsur pembangun dan gambaran keunggulan masyarakat dan nilai-nilai yang tercermin di dalam novel. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis teks, sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Setelah data dianalisis, diperoleh hasil yang menunjukkan bahwa kajian struktur dalam novel The King: Eternal Monarch karya Kim Eun-sook meliputi kekuatan struktur novel terdiri atas kekuatan penokohan yang meliputi kekuatan karakter tokoh, aspek-aspek tak terduga tokoh yang menimbulkan surprise bagi pembaca. Kekuatan alur dilihat pada kemampuan penulisnya dalam memadukan berbagai peristiwa novel dengan dongeng Legenda Raja Naga Laut Timur, Alice in Wonderland, dan Legenda Raja Arthur. Kekuatan latar dilihat pada kemampuan penulis memadukan konsep multiverse dan konsep time travel yang menjadikan latar tempat dan waktu dalam novel ini menjadi sangat menarik. Kekuatan sudut pandang dilihat dari penggunaan sudut pandang orang ketiga serba tahu, dan kekuatan tema dilihat dari penggunaan tema sederhana mengenai kebaikan melawan kejahatan tapi dapat dikembangkan menjadi cerita yang luar biasa menarik. Sistem kepercayaan dalam novel meliputi sistem kepercayaan Shammanisme, agama Kristen dan Buddha, kondisi masyarakat yang masih memiliki stratifikasi sosial, kepercayaan yang mendalam pada folklor dan mitologi, dan adanya sistem wajib militer, serta nilai-nilai dalam masyarakat yang terdiri atas nilai etika, nilai estetika, dan nilai-nilai sosial.

Abstract

The background of this research is the low interest and early writing skills of students, especially in learning Indonesian. One of the factors that the reason why this happens is the lack of selection of learning media used to convey material that is still verbal. The problem that arises now is the low initial writing skills of students. Students tend to take for granted the material given by the teacher without responding in the form of opinions or rebuttals. To overcome this, researchers have a solution by applying color paper learning media. The purpose of this study was to describe the results of using color paper media in increasing students' interest and writing skills in starting students with living and non-living objects around me. Color paper media is a learning media made of paper that is attached with a sticky note which contains learning material. The research design used is the Kemmis and Mc Taggart spiral classroom action research (CAR) design. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the color paper learning media can increase students' interest in learning and initial writing skills. It can be proven that the student's interest in learning has increased in each cycle. the results of the initial observation of the learning interest of grade I students at SD Negeri Bunter 1 in the Indonesian language subject with a total of 28 students, there were only 7 students in the "Good" category, 11 students in the "Enough" category, and 10 students in the "Less" category. With a class average of 57, the percentage of completeness is 25%, and the category "Less". In the first cycle of action, 28 students consisted of 14 students (50%) students who had achieved minimum completeness, 7 (25%) students who were categorized as sufficient, and 7 (25%) students who were categorized as having not achieved minimum completeness. And the average value of an interest in learning generated in the first cycle is 65 with a 50% completeness percentage in the "Enough" category. Then in the second cycle of 28 students consisting of 26 students. (93%) students have achieved minimum completeness. 2 (17%) students are categorized as moderate. And the average value of an interest in learning generated in the second cycle is 77 with a percentage of completeness of 93% and gets the criteria of "Good" this is due to the increased enthusiasm of students. It can be seen that the student's interest in learning has met the predetermined targets, namely good or very good criteria. In the results of students' initial writing skills, there was an increase in each cycle. The initial data obtained 32% with an average value of 67.6, the first cycle increased to 79% with an average value of 80, and the second cycle obtained 93 with an average value of 90. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the learning media Color paper can improve students' interest and initial writing skills on living and non-living objects around me in grade I students at SD Negeri Bunter 1, Cimanggung District, Sumedang Regency, in the 2021/2022 academic year.

Abstract

Indonesia memiliki kemajemukan kebudayaan yang beragam. Kebudayaan yang beragam tersebut diantaranya yaitu ditandai dengan etnik, suku, ras, Bahasa, kesenian, agama, dll. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaan menerapkan proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan budaya local sebagai media yang tercantum dalam Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP). Proses penerapan pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dengan menggunakan media kebudayaan local sbagai alat dalam proses pembelajaran yang tersusun dalam Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), siswa dituntut untuk bisa mentransformasikan segala informasi yang didapatnya bukan hanya sekedar tahu tentang budaya local, namun ikut mengaplikasikan dan mengetahui makna yang terkandung dalam kebudayaan local tersebut. Penerapan pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di SMP Negeri 1 Rancakalong dalam meningkatkan antusias siswa terhadap kebudayaan local dalam pembelajarannya siswa sangat antusias. Karena dilihat dari factor guru yang bias membawakan materi dengan nyaman, dan penghidupan kelas. Meskipun dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran masih kurang.

Abstract

Legends, as part of folklore, have great potential in character education because they are rich in moral values and local wisdom. However, the symbolic meanings in Nusantara legends have not been widely utilized in learning. This study aims to examine the semiotic meanings in five water-themed legends from Astri Damayanti’s Kumpulan Legenda Nusantara and to evaluate their potential as teaching materials for character education in elementary schools. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using Charles Sanders Peirce’s semiotic theory (icon, index, symbol). The findings show that these legends contain strong symbolism related to honesty, responsibility, empathy, and loyalty. The stories also have good readability for students, with simple language and clear narrative structures. Based on these results, this study recommends the integration of folklore into the curriculum as a medium for character education based on local wisdom.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the meaning of signs in three Indonesian novels, The name are Tenggelamnya Kapal Van Der Wijck by Hamka, Pada Sebuah Kapal by Nh. Dini, and Susuk Kapal Borobudur by Mujoko, through Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic approach. The focus of the study is directed at the analysis of icons, indexes, and symbols in the narrative, using descriptive qualitative methods through intensive reading and data categorization based on Peirce's semiotic theory. The results of the study show that in Tenggelamnya Kapal Van de Wijck, icons appear through descriptions of ships and ports; indexes are seen from natural signs such as storms and ocean currents that reflect the characters' inner conflicts; while symbols appear in the form of ships as symbols of destiny and customary conflicts. In Pada Sebuah Kapal, icons are present through the physical details of the ship and the activities within it; indexes are seen from the weather, sounds, and movements of the sea that describe psychological dynamics; symbols are manifested in ships as a metaphor for women's search for identity and freedom. Meanwhile, Susuk Kapal Borobudur displays icons in the form of ship artifacts and cultural ornaments; indexes through natural phenomena and rituals that hint at supernatural events; and symbols in the form of implants and ships, representing ancestral heritage and the maritime spiritual power of the Indonesian archipelago. All three novels utilize ships and the sea not only as settings but also as centers for constructing moral, cultural, and philosophical meanings. The analysis confirms that icons, indices, and symbols function to construct complex layers of meaning related to identity, cultural values, and the collective experiences of the community. Abstract

This study focuses on stylistic analysis in two novels by Ahmad Tohari: Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk and Bekisar Merah. These two novels were chosen because of Tohari's distinctive depiction of rural social realities, poverty, and the struggles of life, expressed through his unique style. The study of style in these two novels is crucial to uncovering how Ahmad Tohari utilizes the power of language to construct a fictional world rich with meaning and value. In addition to strengthening appreciation for modern Indonesian literature, this research is also beneficial for developing literature learning in schools, particularly in developing students' critical thinking skills and empathy for social realities through the interpretation of literary language. This study aims to identify, classify, and analyze the style used by the author in the novels Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk and Bekisar Merah, relating to symbolism, sociocultural realities, and the elements that shape the stories. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a stylistic approach. Data were obtained through in-depth reading of the novel texts, followed by recording and categorizing stylistic elements. Data analysis was conducted by interpreting how these language choices shape meaning, create atmosphere, and deepen characterization. The theoretical framework used refers to stylistic concepts developed by experts, which distinguish between everyday language and literary language. The results of the study indicate that Ahmad Tohari utilizes a rich and nuanced style. In Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk, there is a strong use of local diction (Banyumasan dialect), personification that brings nature to life, and sharp imagery to depict poverty and suffering. The language used often feels poetic and flowing, reflecting local wisdom and tradition. Meanwhile, in Bekisar Merah, the style tends to be more reflective and psychological. The diction chosen emphasizes descriptions of the characters' inner states, with metaphors and similes depicting internal conflicts. The conclusion of this study confirms that style in Ahmad Tohari's works functions not merely as ornamentation, but as an integral element that builds the narrative, reinforces the theme, and reflects the author's worldview on social reality.
