Abstract

Vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) is a fishery commodity that has a very important value in the international market. Water quality monitoring is one of the key factors in the success of cultivation. Water quality plays an important role in determining the growth and survival of vaname shrimp. The parameters measured in this study were brightness, color, pH, DO, temperature, salinity, total alkali, TOM, ammonium, nitrite and phosphate. The purpose of this study was to determine the condition of the water quality in the vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus Vannamei) pond in CV. Tirta Makmur Abadi Lombang.

Abstract

Incentive shrimp farming system has become a farming system adopted by most Indonesian farmers to rapidly increase pond productivity with high stocking densities ranging from 100-300 fish/m2. The study aimed to determine the growth performance and survival rate of Vannamei shrimp culture at PT Andulang Shrimp Farm, Sumenep, East Java with different plot sizes and stocking densities. In the augmentation method, 2 culture plots are used, each with an area of plot D4 (1,932 m2) with a stocking density of 177 fish/m2 and plot F3 (2,600 m2) with a stocking density of 172 fish/m2. In plot D4, the average body weight (ABW) was 26.45 g, the feed conversion ratio (FCR) was 1.63 and the survival rate (SR) was 74.05% with a total harvest tonnage of 4,845.64 kg. In plot F3, the average body weight (ABW) was 26.36 g, the FCR was 1.61 and the SR was 75.42% with a total yield of 6,674.42 kg. A high protein diet contributes to the growth of Vannamei shrimp. Optimal water quality and proper feeding can promote the growth of Vannamei shrimp.

Abstract

Komposisi plankton pada perairan  terutama pada tambak udang Vannamei dapat berperan sebagai parameter ekologi perairan selain sebagai  pakan alami dan penghasil oksigen. Sistem resirkulasi merupakan salah satu cara untuk menjaga kualitas air yang nantinya mampu mendukung komposisi plankton yang seimbang sehingga budidaya udang vannamei super intensif dapat berjalan optimal. Microbubble merupakan suatu alat yang berfungsi menghasilkan gelembung udara dalam air denga ukuran diameter kurang dari 200 µm. Gelembung mikro ini mampu meningkatkan kadar oksigen terlarut sehingga dapat menurunkan kadar ammonia dalam air budidaya sampai 95%. Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penilitian eksperimental yang dirancang dengan menggunakan dua kolam bundar dengan diameter 3 m. Satu kolam bundar menngunakan aerator dan yang lain menggunakan Microbubble untuk sistem aerasinya. Jenis Plankton diamati menggunakan mikroskop. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut Genus plankton yang mendominasi adalah Chlorophyta dengan nilai 88,%, Cyanophyta 8,%, dan Chrysophyta 2,7%. Jenis Chlorophyta meliputi Chlorella, Nanochloropsis, dan Oocystis. Penggunaan Microbubble mampu meningkatkan kelarutan oksigen, dari hasil penelitian nilai DO yang di dapat 5,05 mg/L. kelarutan oksigen yang tinggi di perairan memberikan dampak yang positif terhadap udang dan juga biota perairan yang lain.

Abstract

Natural feed such as phytoplankton, contains high levels of protein, fat, and carbohydrates to enhance the growth performance and immunity in shrimp. Moreover, the presence of phytoplankton in the water column can make the waters shady so that it stimulates the shrimp to actively look for food during the day. Silicate is a macro element that used to promote the cell growth and cell wall formation of plankton. Ceraclean fertilizer product is an artificial hydrated calcium silicate with many small pores so that it is easily soluble in water to facilitate nutrient absorption by plankton cells. This study aims to determine the abundance of plankton in vaname shrimp culture ponds with the addition of ceraclean fertilizer and its correlation to the growth of vaname shrimp. This study uses a household-scale circular pond equipped with microbubble aerator technology with a power of 0.5 HP. The stocking density used was 700 fish/m3 and the maintenance period at DOC was 75. The average weight of shrimp growth at harvest was 9.8 grams with a total biomass of 273 Kg with an FCR of 1.1. A total of 262 ind/ml plankton were identified in household-scale aquaculture ponds with a percentage of Chlorophyta 57.20%, Cyanophyta 37%, Crysophyta 5%, Dinoflagellates 0.8% and Protozoa 0%. This study explains the low intake of feed used during the rearing period and the low FCR value because the shrimp utilizes natural feed. This also causes the growth of vaname shrimp in this study to continue to increase every week with an SR value of 90.1%.

Abstract

Wader cakul (Puntius binotatus) adalah salah satu ikan tropis di perairan tawar Indonesia yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan produksi wader cakul (P. binotatus) adalah dengan budidaya intensif melalui peningkatan kepadatan tebar. Untuk itu, perlu dilakukan penelitian tentang pengaruh perbedaan kepadatan tebar terhadap survival dan laju pertumbuhan wader cakul (P. binotatus) untuk mengeksplorasi potensi dan kemungkinan budidaya secara terkendali. Penelitian ini menggunakan 3 perlakuan (2 ikan / liter, 4 ikan / liter dan 6 ikan / liter) dan 5 ulangan. Parameter utama yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah tingkat kelangsungan hidup, laju pertumbuhan, laju pertumbuhan spesifik, dan retensi protein, dan parameter pendukungnya adalah suhu, pH, oksigen terlarut, dan amonia. Hasil tingkat kelangsungan hidup (%), tingkat pertumbuhan, tingkat pertumbuhan spesifik dan retensi protein menunjukkan persentase tertinggi pada perlakuan A dengan kepadatan tebar 2 ikan / liter dengan tingkat nilai 96%, 0.608 gr, 1.018 (% b / hari ) dan 101.41%. Kualitas air dalam setiap perlakuan meliputi suhu: 25.14-30 oC, pH: 7.14-7.27, oksigen terlarut: 4.44-4.83 mg / l dan amonia: 0.3-0.45 mg / l, kisarannya masih dalam batas toleransi untuk kehidupan ikan wader cakul.

Abstract

Koi fish is one of the freshwater ornamental fish that has the potential to be developed and has important economic value. opening the market for koi fish seeds is quite high, so the availability of seeds must be available continuously. One way to produce seeds is by spawning. The main parameters observed in this study were fertilization rate, hatching rate and survival rate. The value of the fertilization rate in spawning 1 was 79 and spawning II was 80%. The hatching rate in spawning I was 73% and in spawning II was 87%. The survival rate for spawning 1 was 96% and spawning II was 79%.

Abstract

Perikanan budidaya air tawar Indonesia berperan penting dalam produktifitas ikan konsumsi pada pasar global. Namun faktanya, kegiatan usaha budidaya air tawar tidak terlepas dari penggunaan pakan buatan berupa pakan pelet secara intensif. Hal tersebut tentunya menghabiskan lebih dari setengah biaya produksi. Sehingga keuntungan usaha budidaya ikan yang didapatkan tidak optimal. Pemberian probiotik dalam pakan diharapkan akan berpengaruh terhadap kecepatan fermentasi pakan dalam saluran pencernaan, sehingga akan sangat membantu proses penyerapan makanan dalam pencernaan ikan.. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyrakat ini adalah untuk untuk meningkatkan ilmu pengetahuan dan keterampilan kelompok pembudidaya ikan nila di Kecamatan Bangil tentang pembuatan probiotik dengan bahan yang murah dan mudah didapat. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan pada pada tanggal 27 September 2023, dirumah salah satu POKDAKAN yang terletak di Desa Dermo, Kecamatan Bangil, Kabupaten Pasuruan, Jawa Timur. Peserta pelatihan terdiri dari 40 orang anggota keompok pembudidaya dan 5 orang penyuluh dari Dinas Kelautan dan Perikanan Kabupaten Pasuruan. Kegiatan pengabdian diawali dengan penyampaian materi secara teori dan praktik tentang cara pembuatan probiotik dari isolat usus ikan, serta dilanjutkan dengan diskusi dan tanya jawab. Pada akhir kegiatan, peserta diberikan kuisioner penilaian terkait kegiatan pengabdian yang dilaksanakan. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah kelompok pembudidaya ikan terampil membuat probiotik skala rumah tangga dengan memanfaatkan bahan lokal dan isolate bakteri dari ususu ikan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa para peserta memiliki ketertarikan yang besar terkait pembuatan probiotik skala rumah tangga dan merasakan manfaat dari kegiatan pengabdian.

Abstract

Wader fish, as one of the endemic species that has great potential to be developed, requires intensive cultivation efforts to ensure its sustainable existence and be able to meet market demand. One method to ensure the continuous availability of Wader fry is through spawning. This activity aims to increase the production of pari Wader fry at the Fish Health and Environment Laboratory of Umbulan, Pasuruan Regency, East Java. The spawning method uses a natural spawning method with a ratio of male and female fish 2:1. Female fish weigh 7-10 grams with a length of 5-6 cm, while males weigh 4-6 grams with a length of 4-5cm. The results showed a fecundity value of 2,100 grains/brood fish. Fertilization Rate (FR) 84%, Hatching Rate (HR) 82% and Survival Rate (SR) 79%. Spawning of Pari Wader fish is expected to encourage the development of a sustainable Wader fish farming industry and maintain the sustainability of the Wader fish species itself.Ikan Wader, sebagai salah satu spesies endemik yang memiliki potensi besar untuk dikembangkan, memerlukan upaya budidaya yang intensif agar keberadaannya tetap terjamin secara berkelanjutan dan mampu memenuhi permintaan pasar. Salah satu metode untuk memastikan ketersediaan benih ikan Wader secara kontinyu adalah melalui pemijahan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan produksi benih ikan Wader Pari di Laboratorium Kesehatan Ikan dan Lingkungan Umbulan Pasuruan, Jawa Timur. Metode pemijahan menggunakan metode pemijahan secara alami dengan perbandingan ikan jantan dan betina 2:1. Ikan betina memiliki berat 7-10 gram dengan panjang 5-6 cm, sedangkan pada jantan mempunyai berat 4-6 gram dengan panjang 4-5cm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai fekunditas 2.100 butir/induk. Fertilization Rate (FR) 84 %, Hatching Rate (HR) 82 % dan Survival Rate (SR) 79%. Pemijahan ikan Wader Pari diharapkan dapat mendorong perkembangan industri budidaya ikan Wader yang berkelanjutan dan menjaga kelestarian spesies ikan Wader itu sendiri.

Abstract

The demand for grouper fry for aquaculture is very high both domestically and abroad. This activity aims to increase the production of Tiger grouper fry at the Balai Perikanan Budidaya Air Payau (BPBAP) Situbondo, East Java. The spawning method used artificial spawning, 9 female Tiger groupers and 1 male Kertang grouper. The female parent had an average weight of 8.27 kg and the male parent had a weight of 70 kg. The results showed a fecundity value of 6,700,000 grains. Fertilization Rate (FR) 77%, Hatching Rate (HR) 52% and Survival Rate (SR) 22.4%. Grouper spawning is expected to contribute to the sustainability of fisheries resources and the development of grouper aquaculture. Permintaan kebutuhan benih Kerapu Cantang untuk usaha budidaya sangat tinggi baik dari dalam negeri maupun luar negeri. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan produksi benih ikan Kerapu Cantang di Balai Perikanan Budidaya Air Payau (BPBAP) Situbondo, Jawa Timur. Metode pemijahan menggunakan metode pemijahan secara buatan, 9 ikan Kerapu Macan betina dan 1 ikan Kerapu Kertang jantan. Induk betina memiliki bobot rata-rata 8,27 kg dan induk jantan memiliki bobot 70 kg. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai fekunditas 6.700.000 butir. Fertilization Rate (FR) 77 %, Hatching Rate (HR) 52 % dan Survival Rate (SR) 22,4%. Pemijahan ikan Kerapu Cantang diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada keberlanjutan sumber daya perikanan dan pengembangan budidaya ikan Kerapu cantang.

Abstract

White snapper (Lates calcarifer) is a high value aquaculture commodity with increasing market demand. This study aimed to analyzed the growth performance of white snapper fry during the nursery phase at the ODE Aquaculture and Agriculture Hatchery Unit, Brunei-Muara District, Brunei Darussalam, from March to June 2023.The nursery utilized controlled fiberglass tanks equipped with aeration and a flow-through water system. Two types of tanks were used: rectangular tanks measuring 4 × 1.5 × 1 m (capacity: 6,000 L) and circular tanks with a diameter of 2 m (capacity: 3,140 L). A total of 100,000 fry were stocked, with 30,000–40,000 fry per tank. Observed parameters included survival rate (SR), absolute length growth rate, absolute weight growth rate, specific growth rate (SGR), and feed conversion ratio (FCR). Water quality parameters measured were temperature, salinity, and pH. Results indicated an absolute length growth rate of 1.2 cm/week, surpassing previous studies reporting only 0.4 cm/week. The absolute weight growth rate was 1.3 g/week, exceeding the 0.6–1 g/week range reported in other research. The FCR was 0.33, demonstrating excellent feed efficiency. However, the survival rate was 30.77%, below the standard for controlled nursery systems (>50%), likely due to high stocking density and cannibalism. Harvest size ranged from 8 to 9 cm. Water quality remained stable, with temperatures between 31–32.5°C, pH levels from 7.6–8.3, and salinity ranging from 30–32 ppt. Despite the low survival rate attributed to high stocking density, the nursery phase at this facility achieved commendable growth rates compared to previous studies. This success is supported by stable water quality and the provision of high-protein feed.
