Abstract

ABSTRAK Kendala utama budidaya ikan kerapu adalah tingginya tingkat kematian terutama pada benih sebagai akibat serangan bakteri dan patogen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan ekstrak daun jeruju (Acanthus ilicifolius) terhadap kelangsungan hidup ikan kerapu macan  (Epinephelus fuscogutattus) yang diinfeksi Vibrio alginolyticus. Ikan kerapu macan (E. fuscogutattus) sebanyak 120 ekor diberikan perlakuan selama 40 hari dengan pemberian pakan yang ditambahkan ekstrak daun jeruju (A. ilicifolius). Uji tantang dilakukan dengan menyuntikan suspensi bakteri V. alginolyticus secara intramuskular. Prosedur pengamatan dilakukan selama 10 hari pascainfeksi meliputi gejala klinis, kelulushidupan serta gambaran darah ikan kerapu macan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gejala klinis ikan sakit diantaranya bergerak lamban, berenang tidak teratur (erratic swimming), berenang di permukaan, warna tubuh ikan menjadi gelap, timbulnya luka di bagian punggung serta geripis pada bagian sirip ikan dan pembengkakan pada bola mata (exopthalmia). Pemberian ekstrak daun A. ilicifolius pada pakan menunjukkan hasil tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap kelulushidupan dan jumlah total eritrosit ikan kerapu macan pascainfeksi, akan tetapi penambahan ekstrak daun A. ilicifolius menunjukkan hasil berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) pada hari ke-8 dengan nilai tertinggi 9,39x104 sel/mm3 serta berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap aktifitas fagositik hari ke-4 dengan nilai tertinggi 65%. Dosis terbaik dalam penelitian ini adalah penambahan ekstrak daun A. ilicifolius sebanyak 5 gr/kg pakan. ABSTRACT This research was aimed to find out the effect of using leaf extract Acanthus ilicifolius toward survival rate of tiger grouper (Epinephelus  fuscogutattus) infected by Vibrio alginolyticus. 120 fish E. fuscogutattus was treated 40 days with the added leaf extract A. ilicifolius in the feeding process. The test was done by injecting of bacterial suspensions V. alginolyticus in the intra-muscular of the fish. Observation procedure was performed for 10 days after the infection such as clinical symptoms, survival rate and blood picture of the fish. The results showed clinical symptoms of sick fishes i.e. abnormally swiming activity, erratic swimming, swimming on the surface, dark colouration of the skin, a wound on the back and fins, and exopthalmia. The test results showed that extract of A. ilicifolius leaf not significantly different (P>0.05) on survival rate and total erythrocyte of E. fuscogutattus post-infection, but the addition of leaf extracts A. ilicifolius indicate results significantly different (P<0.05) on day 8 with the highest score of 9.39 x104 cells/mm3 and differed significantly (P<0.01) on  phagocytic activity day 4 with a highest score of 65%. The best dosage in this research was 5 gr/kg of feed.

Abstract

Incentive shrimp farming system has become a farming system adopted by most Indonesian farmers to rapidly increase pond productivity with high stocking densities ranging from 100-300 fish/m2. The study aimed to determine the growth performance and survival rate of Vannamei shrimp culture at PT Andulang Shrimp Farm, Sumenep, East Java with different plot sizes and stocking densities. In the augmentation method, 2 culture plots are used, each with an area of plot D4 (1,932 m2) with a stocking density of 177 fish/m2 and plot F3 (2,600 m2) with a stocking density of 172 fish/m2. In plot D4, the average body weight (ABW) was 26.45 g, the feed conversion ratio (FCR) was 1.63 and the survival rate (SR) was 74.05% with a total harvest tonnage of 4,845.64 kg. In plot F3, the average body weight (ABW) was 26.36 g, the FCR was 1.61 and the SR was 75.42% with a total yield of 6,674.42 kg. A high protein diet contributes to the growth of Vannamei shrimp. Optimal water quality and proper feeding can promote the growth of Vannamei shrimp.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of live and artificial feed in the rearing of vanname shrimp larvae (Litopenaeus vannamei). The work consists of preparation of rearing media, nauplii stocking, feed management and monitoring of larval rearing. A total of 2,000,000 nauplii were used and reared in concrete tanks with a water volume capacity of 14 tons equipped with a filtration system and water changes carried out by flowtrough and circulation. The feed used consisted of livel feed including Chaetoceros muelleri, Thalassiosira sp and Artemia sp. and also artificial feed (commercial feed). The results showed that the application of live and artificial feed during larval rearing was positively correlated with larval stadia development and larval survival rate. Larval development in each stadia, including zoea, mysis and post larvae, showed normal development. The total larval population at each stadia decreased with a final mortality value of 40%. Nevertheless, the survival rate until the end of the PL-10 rearing period was observed to be 60% and this condition was in optimal condition

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan tingkat subtitusi tepung ikan dengan tepung maggot sebagai sumber protein yang dapat menghasilkan pertumbuhan yang baik pada ikan nila (O. niloticus) serta mampu meningkatkan status kesehatan ikan nila. Pemeliharaan ikan dilakukan selama 28 hari. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan dengan iso protein 33% dan iso energi 2.877,8 kkal/kg. Empat perlakuan substitusi tepung maggot terhadap ikan yang berbeda, meliputi perlakuan A (100%:0%), B (75%:25%), C (50%:50%), D (25%:75%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan substitusi tepung maggot dalam pakan tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap kelulushidupan dan efisiensi pakan pada ikan nila, tetapi berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap laju pertumbuhan spesifik 1,99±0,10; dan untuk jumlah konsumsi pakan 1125,51±1,88. Tidak ada perngaruh terhadap gambaran darah, baik kadar hemoglobin, sel darah merah dan sel darah putih pada ikan nila. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disarankan bahwa penggunaan tepung maggot sebagai sumber protein dalam formulasi pakan ikan Nila (O. niloticus) dapat disubtitusikan sebesar 75% terhadap tepung ikan.

Abstract

Praktik penangkapan ikan yang tidak berkelanjutan signifikan terhadap penurunan hasil tangkapan rajungan terutama di Desa Paciran Kabupaten Lamongan. Rendahnya hasil tangkapan ini di dominasi oleh ukuran yang tidak sesuai dengan permintaan pasar. Hal ini menyebabkan turunnya nilai produksi rajungan di Desa Paciran. Hasil tangkapan rajungan under size hanya dijadikan sebagai pakan ternak karena tidak memiliki nilai ekonomis. Kegiatan bimbingan teknis ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pengalaman kepada masyarakat mengenai penanganan benih rajungan under size pasca pasca penangakapan serta pelatihan dalam budidaya rajungan dengan teknologi intensif. Kegiatan bimbingan teknis ini dilakukan pada tanggal 15 Juni 2024 hingga 2 bulan pendampingan pasca kegiatan. Beberapa serangkaian kegiatan yang diadakan berupa workshop dan pelatihan kepada para nelayan lokal di Desa Paciran. Materi yang disampaikan meliputi pengetahuan dasar tentang rajungan, teknik penanganan benih rajungan under size, pengenalan sistem budidaya rajungan sistem intensif, serta praktik langsung dalam penerapan teknik – teknik tersebut. Hasil dari kegiatan bimbingan teknis dan pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan praktis para peserta dalam penanganan benih rajungan under size serta implementasi budidaya rajungan dengan sistem intensif. Para peserta berhasil mengaplikasikan teknik-teknik yang diajarkan dalam kondisi nyata dan mampu mengelola budidaya rajungan dengan lebih efisien. Bimbingan teknis dan pelatihan ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam pengembangan potensi budidaya rajungan di Desa Paciran. Peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani dalam penanganan benih rajungan under size serta penerapan sistem budidaya intensif diharapkan dapat meningkatkan produksi rajungan secara berkelanjutan dan memberikan dampak ekonomi yang positif bagi masyarakat lokal.

Abstract

Mangrove crabs are one of the important fisheries commodities in Indonesia which have made a significant contribution to the lives of coastal communities. This study aims to analyze differences in growth performance of mud crabs reared in different silvofishery ponds to find out the effect of gender and to determine the interaction patterns between silvofishery pond type and gender. This research method uses a Factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD) which consists of two factors, namely pond type (core pond, trench pond) and sex (male, female) so that it has 6 treatment combinations and 3 replications for each treatment. The initial weight of the test mud crab was 70-75 g. Test animals were kept for 56 days in crab baskets. The results showed that the interaction between pond type and sex had a significant influence on daily growth rate and absolute weight growth but did not significantly influence the feed conversion ratio and feed utilization efficiency. Duncan's further tests showed that the type of pond had a real influence on the feed conversion ratio and feed utilization efficiency. The best Feed Conversion Ratio was found in the core pond treatment with 3.80 1.05 with the highest feed utilization efficiency of 27.67 3.23 %.The survival rate shows values that are not significantly different between all treatments (86.67 100%.). The water quality measurement values during the research were still optimal for the growth of male and female mud crabs. Treatment of core ponds with female crabs (T2K2) showed the best performance in terms of daily growth rate and absolute weight growth of mud crabs. Abstract

Penelitian ini memaparkan hasil studi mengenai teknik pembenihan udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) di Balai Produksi Induk Udang Unggul dan Kekerangan (BPIU2K) Karangasem, Bali. Penelitian menggunakan metode magang dan survei, meliputi observasi partisipan, wawancara dengan teknisi lapang, serta pengukuran parameter biologi dan kualitas air (fisika, kimia, biologi) pada setiap tahap pembenihan. Hasil menunjukkan fekunditas induk rata-rata 540.300 butir, fertilization rate (FR) 92,5 %, hatching rate (HR) 89,7 %, dan survival rate (SR) 78,4 %. Parameter kualitas air—suhu rata-rata 28,5 °C, salinitas 30 ppt, pH 7,8, dan oksigen terlarut (DO) 5,5 ppm—berada dalam kisaran optimal berdasarkan SNI 8307.1:2014. Temuan ini menegaskan efektivitas manajemen induk, teknik ablasi, serta pengelolaan kualitas air dalam mendukung produksi larva udang vaname berkualitas tinggi. Kesimpulannya, protokol pembenihan di BPIU2K Karangasem layak dijadikan acuan untuk pengembangan hatchery udang vaname berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Wader fish, as one of the endemic species that has great potential to be developed, requires intensive cultivation efforts to ensure its sustainable existence and be able to meet market demand. One method to ensure the continuous availability of Wader fry is through spawning. This activity aims to increase the production of pari Wader fry at the Fish Health and Environment Laboratory of Umbulan, Pasuruan Regency, East Java. The spawning method uses a natural spawning method with a ratio of male and female fish 2:1. Female fish weigh 7-10 grams with a length of 5-6 cm, while males weigh 4-6 grams with a length of 4-5cm. The results showed a fecundity value of 2,100 grains/brood fish. Fertilization Rate (FR) 84%, Hatching Rate (HR) 82% and Survival Rate (SR) 79%. Spawning of Pari Wader fish is expected to encourage the development of a sustainable Wader fish farming industry and maintain the sustainability of the Wader fish species itself.Ikan Wader, sebagai salah satu spesies endemik yang memiliki potensi besar untuk dikembangkan, memerlukan upaya budidaya yang intensif agar keberadaannya tetap terjamin secara berkelanjutan dan mampu memenuhi permintaan pasar. Salah satu metode untuk memastikan ketersediaan benih ikan Wader secara kontinyu adalah melalui pemijahan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan produksi benih ikan Wader Pari di Laboratorium Kesehatan Ikan dan Lingkungan Umbulan Pasuruan, Jawa Timur. Metode pemijahan menggunakan metode pemijahan secara alami dengan perbandingan ikan jantan dan betina 2:1. Ikan betina memiliki berat 7-10 gram dengan panjang 5-6 cm, sedangkan pada jantan mempunyai berat 4-6 gram dengan panjang 4-5cm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai fekunditas 2.100 butir/induk. Fertilization Rate (FR) 84 %, Hatching Rate (HR) 82 % dan Survival Rate (SR) 79%. Pemijahan ikan Wader Pari diharapkan dapat mendorong perkembangan industri budidaya ikan Wader yang berkelanjutan dan menjaga kelestarian spesies ikan Wader itu sendiri.

Abstract

The demand for grouper fry for aquaculture is very high both domestically and abroad. This activity aims to increase the production of Tiger grouper fry at the Balai Perikanan Budidaya Air Payau (BPBAP) Situbondo, East Java. The spawning method used artificial spawning, 9 female Tiger groupers and 1 male Kertang grouper. The female parent had an average weight of 8.27 kg and the male parent had a weight of 70 kg. The results showed a fecundity value of 6,700,000 grains. Fertilization Rate (FR) 77%, Hatching Rate (HR) 52% and Survival Rate (SR) 22.4%. Grouper spawning is expected to contribute to the sustainability of fisheries resources and the development of grouper aquaculture. Permintaan kebutuhan benih Kerapu Cantang untuk usaha budidaya sangat tinggi baik dari dalam negeri maupun luar negeri. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan produksi benih ikan Kerapu Cantang di Balai Perikanan Budidaya Air Payau (BPBAP) Situbondo, Jawa Timur. Metode pemijahan menggunakan metode pemijahan secara buatan, 9 ikan Kerapu Macan betina dan 1 ikan Kerapu Kertang jantan. Induk betina memiliki bobot rata-rata 8,27 kg dan induk jantan memiliki bobot 70 kg. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai fekunditas 6.700.000 butir. Fertilization Rate (FR) 77 %, Hatching Rate (HR) 52 % dan Survival Rate (SR) 22,4%. Pemijahan ikan Kerapu Cantang diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada keberlanjutan sumber daya perikanan dan pengembangan budidaya ikan Kerapu cantang.
