Abstract

Premarital sexual behavior of adolescents is a problem that often occurs today, because it can cause various negative impacts. The relationship between adolescent parents has both direct and indirect influences on adolescent premarital sexual behavior. Openness between parents and teenagers is important in order to avoid negative influences that exist outside the family environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Parenting Paterns and Interpersonal Communication with Premarital Sexual Behavior of Adolescents at SMK Prestasi Agung, Jakarta. The design of this study used a cross sectional design with a quantitative approach. The population and research sample were 66 respondents. The analytical application used was SPSS 22. The results of the study H0: accepted and H1: rejected, r = 0.035 < 0.05 indicating there is a relationship between parenting patterns and adolescent premarital sexual behavior, while r = 0.154> 0.05 indicates there is no relationship between interpersonal communication and adolescent premarital sexual behavior

Abstract

Bibliotherapy is a method that uses literature to help clients to be able to express the problems they face and change their thinking perspective as an effort to help them overcome emotional problems, unstable mental conditions to overcome changes in their lives. Many bibliotherapy studies reveal that bibliotherapy is effective in dealing with problems, including reducing aggressiveness in adolescents. However, researchers have not found a study of bibliotherapy improving academic resilience in adolescent students. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of bibliotherapy in improving students’ academic resilience, a study of 7th grade students of SMPIT, X Islamic Boarding School, Bogor, West Java. The application of bibliotherapy was carried out on five experiment participants selected through purposive sampling, which was carried out in eleven meetings, which were divided into four stages based on the theory of the stages of bibliotherapy according to Pardeck (1993), namely identification, selection, presentation, and follow-up. The research method used was experiment, with randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Academic resilience measurement data of the control and experimental groups was processed with SPSS using the Independent Sample T-test method shows that bibliotherapy is ineffective in increasing the academic resilience of students of Islamic boarding school (t = -, 17, p = 0.87, p> 0.05). It is suspected that one of the causes is inadequate participant involvement in the vicarious learning process during bibliotherapy.  Biblioterapi adalah  suatu metode yang menggunakan literatur dalam membantu klien agar mampu mengungkapkan permasalahan yang dihadapinya dan merubah cara pandang berpikirnya sebagai upaya membantunya mengatasi masalah emosi, kondisi mental yang tidak stabil untuk mengatasi perubahan dalam hidupnya. Banyak penelitian biblioterapi yang mengungkapkan bahwa biblioterapi efektif dalam mengatasi masalah, diantaranya dalam menurunkan agresivitas pada remaja. Akan tetapi, peneliti belum mendapati kajian penelitian biblioterapi untuk meningkatkan ketangguhan akademik pada siswa remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji efektivitas biblioterapi untuk meningkatkan ketangguhan akademik santri pesantren, suatu studi pada santri kelas 7 SMPIT, Pesantren X, Bogor, Jawa Barat. Penerapan biblioterapi dilakukan pada lima partisipan eksperimen yang dipilih secara purposive sampling, yang dilaksanakan dalam sebelas kali pertemuan, yang dibagi menjadi empat tahap berdasarkan teori tahapan biblioterapi menurut Pardeck (1993) yaitu identifikasi, seleksi, presentasi, dan follow-up. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen, dengan randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Data pengukuran ketangguhan akademik pada kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen diolah dengan SPSS menggunakan metode Independent Sample T-test menunjukkan biblioterapi tidak efektif untuk meningkatkan ketangguhan akademik santri pesantren(t = -,17, p = 0,87, p > 0,05),. Hal ini dikarenakan keberhasilan biblioterapi sangat dipengaruhi oleh kesiapan partisipan untuk terlibat dalam proses vicarious learning selama mengikuti biblioterapi.

Abstract

Government policy to enforce online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic that is not supported by adequate facilities has become a significant obstacle for students and their parents. Each educational institution has different perspectives and perceptions. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the difference in perception between parents and teachers towards the implementation process and evaluation system of online learning. The data was collected using questionnaires of 17 indicators using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model criteria, then distributed online using random sampling techniques to parents and teachers throughout Indonesia at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels so that 118 data were obtained divided into 81 teachers and 37 parents. The results of the student test (t-test) obtained information that there is a difference in perception between parents and teachers, this can be seen from the t-test score of 1,919 with a sig score. 0.057. This is also evidenced by the average teacher response score of 66.19 which means positive, while the average response score of parents is 60.54 which means less positive to the application of online learning during COVID-19. The results of this study are expected to be used as an evaluation of online learning for the government in the future.

Abstract

The sandwich generation is a generation that is faced with the dual responsibility of caring for their children and aging parents simultaneously. Individuals who belong to the sandwich generation have burdens to bear such as having higher financial obligations and less free time. Resilience is a process of adapting well in facing difficult situations, such as trauma, accidents, threatening events or sources of stress. Therefore, the ability of resilience is important for individuals who have significant adversity, one of which is the sandwich generation. This research aims to collect and analyze articles related to the level of resilience in sandwich generation individuals. The design used is a literature review. Journals are collected using search engines such as Google Scholar. The journal criteria used are those published in 2014-2024. Based on the articles collected, it was found that the Sandwich Generation in Indonesia experienced high levels of stress due to the multiple responsibilities they carried. But they have a high level of resilience too. The sandwich generation demonstrated the ability to be resilient in the face of various obstacles. Resilience in the sandwich generation is influenced by various factors, such as personal competence, religiosity, optimism and social suppor.

Abstract

This paper explores the role of gratitude in enhancing psychological well-being, bridging insights from psychological research and Islamic teachings. Gratitude, a fundamental virtue, has been extensively studied for its positive effects on mental health, particularly among adolescents and young adults. Empirical evidence links gratitude to increased life satisfaction, happiness, and emotional well-being. From an Islamic perspective, gratitude, or shukr, fosters spiritual resilience and psychological strength. It is viewed not only as a response to divine blessings but also as a proactive practice that nurtures positive emotions, reinforces coping strategies, and encourages prosocial behavior. This paper reviews significant studies, including gratitude-based interventions such as journaling and gratitude letters, demonstrating their efficacy in reducing depression, anxiety, and stress while fostering long-term well-being. Cultural and gender differences in gratitude expression and their implications for mental health are also discussed. Furthermore, integrating gratitude into counseling and therapeutic practices, particularly within the Islamic psychological framework, is highlighted as a promising approach. The findings suggest that cultivating gratitude can serve as an effective strategy for enhancing mental health, providing valuable insights for developing therapeutic interventions that align with both psychological principles and Islamic values.

Abstract

The psychoeducation program aimed to develop awareness among teenagers regarding digitalization in social media use as part of a learning tool. The content explained the impact of excessive social media use on mental health, particularly among students of Janji Baik, an alternative school located in South Tangerang. The program was attended by 18 students and conducted on March 9, 2025. Result measurements indicated that 58.8% of the students were satisfied with the program in general. However, only 4 out of 18 students (22.2%) showed an increase in awareness scores regarding social media addiction behaviors based on post-test results. Although not all quantitative indicators were achieved, most participants demonstrated enhanced awareness toward healthier social media use.Future programs are expected to reach broader targets and apply more diverse methods to maximize educational impact.

Abstract

Entering young adulthood, where the developmental task is to achieve economic and social independence, places individuals at risk of experiencing a quarter-life crisis. This period is often marked by high anxiety and stress about future uncertainties. Healthy self-hardiness is crucial for young adults to manage stress and cope with their developmental challenges. This study aims to explore the role of self-compassion in fostering hardiness among young adults during the quarter-life crisis. The research uses a quantitative cross-sectional design, employing the Multidimensional Hardiness Inventory for Young Adults, which has a reliability coefficient of α = .929. Self-compassion is measured using Neff's (2003) self-compassion scale, adapted into Indonesian with a reliability coefficient of α = .727. The hypothesis was tested using simple linear regression analysis on a sample of 116 respondents, selected through purposive sampling. The results indicate a significant positive effect of self-compassion on hardiness in young adults during the quarter-life crisis (p = .034 < .05). Developing a healthy self-compassion attitude can help young adults build hardiness, enabling them to better manage stress and achieve independence in their social and economic lives.

Abstract

Background: Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran siswa tentang penggunaan smartphone yang sehat, guna mencegah dampak negatif secara psikologis akibat penggunaan HP secara berlebihan. Psikoedukasi diikuti oleh 19 siswa Sekolah Janji Baik. Metode: Metode psikoedukasi berbasis mindfulness diterapkan melalui empat tahap dari enam tahap yang seharusnya dilakukan, karena keterbatasan waktu pelaksanaan. Keempat tahap tersebut adalah asesmen kebutuhan peserta, pengembangan kurikulum yang berfokus pada mindfulness, terutama pemahaman tentang efek adiksi smartphone, lalu pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Hasil: Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman pada tiga dari lima item yang diukur, terutama terkait tanda-tanda dan risiko adiksi smartphone, sementara dua item mengalami penurunan, yang menunjukkan perlunya perbaikan di masa depan. Mayoritas peserta memberikan penilaian positif, dengan 14 dari 17 siswa memberikan skor di atas rata-rata. Kesimpulan: Kontribusi utama kegiatan ini terletak pada efektivitasnya dalam mendorong pemahaman tentang penggunaan smartphone yang sehat, melalui psikoedukasi praktis yang disesuaikan dengan konteks peserta. Namun, terdapat keterbatasan dalam hal durasi intervensi yang singkat dan belum adanya pemantauan perilaku jangka panjang. Kegiatan mendatang disarankan mencakup sesi lanjutan, keterlibatan lebih dalam dari guru dan orang tua, serta penggunaan media digital untuk mendukung pembelajaran berkelanjutan.
